important to say clearly that you're korean-american.
korean who don't speak korean well and korean-american who don't speak korean well are def different
for your youtube, i don't see what your concept or theme is.
just Vlog-s of one of normal persons living in bkk ?
if you are just leaving your memories as if you keep a journey, it doesn't really make sense you feel not great with few reviewers and followers, I believe.
if you're targeting 'showing bkk' then you don't need to worry how much to how your background.
if you're aiming korean-american life targeting korean viewers, speak korean most of time. your korean is better than lots of foreigner youtubers speaking korea though.
if you're more interested in becoming a 'traveling-influencer', do what ppl want and speak what ppl want to hear.
i personally think it's just good enough to go with 'foreigner life in bkk' so that you can just go for flow.
check 발리마녀 , 구찌커플, how they're making their own colours in videos.
your videos are all well-lots of time spent-edited, people know.
but do they care if it's not fun or informative enough ?
So far, I just feel "you" want to become someone. not that your 'videos' want to become something.
then, those good-looking ones are already too many up there with more exciting and sensational contents , nope?
I believe you're such a great person but you have too many rules before trying out.
nobody deserve to stop your trial here. so , again. Be TJ.
    cheers.

This is probably the most thoughtful and constructive comment I received, thank you very much for sharing with me your thoughts. well, actually I was born and raised in Korea for the first 13 years of my life so I don't consider myself a Korean-American but an overseas Korean / or maybe a world citizen since I've lived in more than 7 countries... And you are absolutely right, even I don't know what the theme of my channel is...hehe... At first I started my channel because during covid, I needed a creative outlet where I can make video diaries to share with my family and friends living oversea then somewhere along the way, maybe I started to care too much about the number of views... number of followers... I hate to admit it but maybe deep down inside on a subconscious level, I was jealous of famous influencers' lifestyle and fame... I guess the I want to make more stories about my life in Thailand + traveling as an expat, sharing with people what I experience and learn along the way. Thank you for pointing this out to me... and you are so right.... being a perfectionist, I build too many rules and standard to follow instead of just going with the flow. I'm work in progress, always trying to figure out good balance in work/life/relationships/religion. Thank you for your sincere advice and I will check out the channels you recommended. Nice to meet you HKHK, I sincerely appreciate your feedback :) May I know little bit about you (maybe your name and where you are from?)

that you're being suffered between considering yourself American or Korean is, tho it'd sound harsh,
your own biz and what I consider most of 2nd-3rd gen of Korean-American in the states have been, mostly in earlier life on teen to 30s.
If you can hardly define yourself who you are,
it's the same response coming to your UA-cam channel.
"what is the identity ? what does this channel actually want to show and say ?"
      ..you're videos are like
      - oh! Durian Mukbang ! : that seems you need more views and more attention by strangers with common concept of UA-camrs.
      - What's life like as Foreigner ! from hospital to the local festival : as foreigner expat or as korean or other than that?
(if you want to give 'quality information' of those topics, then there're too many 'too professional' channels and youtubers already)
(if you want to get Korean contents to Korean viewers, but you don't speak korean and you don't think in Korean that they do today in Korea)
-Vlog : pass, it's your personal journey that doesn't need to be in any concept
-Traveling diary : as well, too many professional or travel-only-focused traverling-youtubers are there , even korean.
I do respect that you seem to have so many ideas and goals.
Saying you don't aim to be a popular one or influencer, your desire seems always you do want to be, as all youtubers hope to be.
      Get your concept.
Wanna get the Korean market? then do what Korean see and like. in Korean language.
      Wanna get more theme-focused? then choose a clear concept;
1)Luxury living life and housing culture showing
      - (those who are into seeing this would be your main fans)
2)Bangkok life as a foreigner : local market, local food, high-so party, photo-shoot spots, trendy places for MZ today
      - (those who'd travel to Bangkok would be your main fans)
      3) Korean life showing how to meet Thai world
      - (those who enjoy seeing to see living-in-a-foreign country as Korean would be your fans)
I don't think 3) would be a good idea as you're not sharing much with Korean today
when you see the channels like Korean living/working in the states/ Japan / China / Poland / France .. etc
those youtubers are not 'influential' as they don't have that much subscribers but many enough for their personal income
some 'much-earning' youtubers with those normal background as Korean
      always have clear concept.
for example, there is a UA-cam channel 구찌커플
[Korean man and Indonesian girl] couple, showing real / country life of Indonesia
the girl has 'great look' to get attention for sure, and the channel show heart-touching stories to Korean reminding 60s-80s
on their 'Memory with Bali country-side children' and such things.
you said you want to get 'your' life on UA-cam, then you'd better ask yourself how much you can be open.
if you're showing your lover and life, then better not to target Korean. I am sure you know what i am saying.
Make people laugh and smile. or think deep in such issues or scenes. If you wanna grow your channel, I suggest.
If you can't give up keeping saying 'i don't care the numbers of followers, i don't care how popular it would be', it's still great and fine.
Just don't get stressed and clearly stop wishing to be an influencer deep in yourself or in real life.
As I see UA-camr lists that I follow, with pretty many subscribers,
they are all different but they do have one thing in common.
they are very 'real' and speak very naturally with not much filters.
The perfectionist-wanna-be guy can be as hip as them? , it's your decision.
      /////////
I am Korean, knowing who you are through some people in Bangkok.
I was in some places you were long ago while I was there , several times.
so I remember how you talked to ppl / how much you were "Korean" and "non-korean".
I am sure I can be more globalized Korean in your eyes or standards, but I just say I am korean because my puberty and nationality are all at the country.
      Personally don't really like ppl, Korean-American / Korean-Austrailian / Korean-Dennish, etc, who saying 'i am Korean'.
Most of they could speak good-enough Korean but they think in other language and grew up in non-korean place
(which means their mindset / socialized behaviors/ manners/ rules are not made by korean ones)
on 90s , Korean would call all of 1.5 and 2nd generation "KOREAN-forgieners" and sometimes even get proud of them when they watch
      - Korean-American wins Superball
      - Korean-American wins LPGA
      - Korean-Japanese become a billionaire
Today? Nobody would. they're just korean-looking american, with korean background or parents.
perhaps your thoughts is only self-centers or can be shared with korean on 80s sadly.
Still you're just a globalized Korean?
where are your korean circle, korean cultured life, kimchi on table, speaking korean, thinking korean, korean mindset ?
Your way of thinking is 동포 . and you're 100% 동포.
but 2022 worlds only decide what you are by nationality in harsh way.
We're not Chopin saying ' I am in Paris, with French Nationality but my heart is always in Poland' on 1800s.
We don't have the complicating world situation as there were , right?
Please find this life-answer with your parents, relatives, and close friends through your journey for the rest of your life.
It's much tiring to debate here in words online at youtube, for BOTH of you and others.
(As a UA-camr, being Korean, is not always a good thing if you want to be an influencer for sure ..though.)
(By the way, your korean speaking is not 'Mid-school' lever as you thought, at all.
it's not vocab to be korean enough. it's mindset and culture to be.)
      oh, how about
making chapters as your channel is named TJ 'stories'
      like...
      --
Story 1 [Thai life as a foreigner ]
      1. daily working life.
      a. going to the office in the morning. Thai roads / and transportations
      b. lunch break with thai local friends series.
      c.
      2. Night life
      a. high-so party series
      b. local series
      c. Club series
      d. What to be careful of , series (drugs, etc)

      c. season-only entry places and island
      d. find the best certain food series
      (1) pad thai : trip advisor top 3 places, local recommend 3 places, like this
just came to the chapter idea, coz, for your perfectionist character,
it's releasing your stress from making concept and rules
as it goes by chapter rules but different each time, stress-free.
you're the only on I write such long comment.
hope i'll see funnier and lighter version of the videos soon at your channel. cheers.
