    I don't know how to explain how much I love this channel, but I think it has to do with no conversation, just food. Oftentimes you'll see food vloggers comment so much about the food and the experience, and this channel really just allows us to see the food, but read along if we care to.
    As an aside, I'm someone with a hearing disability. Being able to watch these videos without having to rely on UA-cam's automatically transcribed subtitles really goes a long way.

    I have to put in my 2 cents about that Prima Taste Ready Meal(black packaging).
    It's greatest plus point is that you can store it without refrigeration,but the taste is way below when compared to other frozen(quick prepare) meals. Buy it only when going to trips or places where there is little chance to heat/cook meals. During those times this series of rice meals would be a god sent.

    I love the variety of cultural foods you have near you. Is this an International grocery store or does Singapore have a lot of foreign items in regular grocery stores?

    • @acatindisguise
      @acatindisguise 2 роки тому +40

      I wouldn't consider all of them foreign, since Singapore has a mix of Malay, Chinese, Tamil (and other Indians) people, there's a lot of those cultural foods available here just regularly. But it is also incredibly convenient to get other cultural foods too! A lot of supermarkets have Japanese and Korean aisles, you can also find lots of specialty stores selling goods of a particular country all over SG. And because Singapore is so small it's really easy to get to whichever store you want to go to and get those specialty stuffs

    The Puri dough is cold so didn't puff up and you roasted it too much. 😃 But I always love crispy puris

    Try to braise the puri gently with the hot oil! The idea is to fry the puris evenly on both sides to get equal heat distribution! This will ensure hot air puffs the puris up! Also don't do them AS brown, maybe?? That might help a bit :)
