  • After seeing many stands from very clever You Tubers, I made this combination stove stand and windscreen for use with my DIY Alcohol stoves. Weighing in at 2 3/4 oz this small stand will certainly lower the overall weight of my already overweight backpack. Come on in and take a look

    Looks neat Mike !
    One possible variation if you left feet straight and protruding 1/2" at bottom you could push stand into earth for extra stability and not have to worry about that part of bending operation .I am getting ready for a bikepacking trip to Hebridean Isles in Scotland.
    Thanks for you vid.

      Hey, Ian. Good idea on the protruding feet. a little more stability is always good. Have a great time in Scotland and be sure to have the pipes play "Scotland the Brave". Thanks again and all the best

    You left out Whitney, I forgive you but only because the craftsman logo on your tool case is askew because that's where you keep your tape...oh and nice job on your 4 footed stand...Smokey goodness €;-)}

    I'm curious about how big your pot is. That looks like 4" per side. Unless your pot is squared off where the bottom meets the sides, your pot would need to be 4-1/2" wide, at least. My hiking pot is probably 3-7/8" or so. I could make that with 3 sides, but have to make one leg detachable to fold up.

    A good looking stand. But I have gone on to stove/stand combos. Less stuff to lose.

    I've done the stomp dance a few times in my life. Gotta be careful though, I've seen shoestrings on fire before. Ha ha!

      +rolltide226 That is funny, Rolltide. Got to watch out for those burning shoestrings . Thanks for stopping by and leaving the funny comment
