    Droid Lore!
If a droid without a personality doesn't get regular memory wipes they end up developing a personality anyway. Watched a vid talking about that, forgot the reason why the CIS didn't do continuous memory wipes. Also during the phantom menace the droids were more emotionless due to being controlled by a control ship but Skywalker showed why having an entire army controlled by a single ship was a bad idea lol

I believe why the droids developed more personality and became more talkative was because of what happened in the Phantom Menace. They had to remove that flaw, but in turn it removed their ability to process their thoughts internally, so now they speak while processing a bit more.

The lack of wipes is because the Trade Federation cheaped out and kept using software packages to modify the droids for different purposes. Software which would be erased if they were wiped, so they just accepted the B1's were gonna end up weird.

If you guys are curious the reason the B1 battle droids got worse over the course of the clone wars its because the companies that made them rushed their AI to get them ready for the clone wars and because of that they have little loopholes in their programming that let them express free will sometimes. Resulting in things like, missing blaster shots because their aim deviates, or questioning orders or their own existence. I'm pretty sure in the lore Palpatine rushed them on purpose cause if he hadn't the droid army would have been extremely strong and would have won. Battle droids are also designed to be memory wiped after every battle, and alot of them weren't later in the clone wars because they didn't have time to reset them between battles so the longer they were on for the worse the free will problems got.

2 of the clones with Yoda were actually in Revenge of the Sith. Jek took Yoda's advice and joined the ranger corp and was the camo scout trooper that got taken out by Yoda (Ironic.) And Thire was the red clone trooper reporting to Palpatine after his duel in the senate with Yoda. It actually breaks my heart a bit that 2 of the very small handful of clones who formed a connection with Yoda ended up being personally involved with trying to take him out.

The final scene of the entire series is still left to speculation, since Omega seems to be around 24 years old or more. The next Animated series from Dave Filoni and his group of writers will most likely pick up where TBB left off, either just after Omega's rescue by her Brothers, or just after she left to aid The Rebellion. Palpatine's TCW design was more closely based on his design in the microseries, while other characters had designs that a blended the styles of the microseries and the old stop-motion Thunderbirds serials. The former came from showrunner Dave Filoni, who is a fan of Tartakovsky-series, while the latter came from Lucas who is a fan of Thunderbirds. Unfortunately in Palpatine's case the microseries style didn't translate into 3D very well. It does get better as they re-rendered and retextured the modells for almost every episode, but Season 1 is really rough around the edges.

love watching you guys go through this series, always wonderful when someone experiences it for the first time!
It is important to note, tho, that it's not as if they made the episodes in chronological order and then released them scrambled: what happened is that, because the series was meant to be more of an anthology (aspect that changed over time) they would sometimes revisit story lines by giving them a prequel episode, which is why the episode 1 ended up being the resolution to the Toydarian arc.

iirc, this particular series does eventually detail a bit about Yoda and Dooku’s relationship. There’s so much Star Wars content over the years that it’s a task trying to keep track of which bits came from where lol.

Count Dooku get much more fleshed out in this series. And some important tidbits are in the Tales of the Jedi shorts.
If I remember correctly Ashoka was written "unlikeable" on purpose, so that she grew on the audience with her own path of growth. Quite clever I think and it worked.

The thing about Ahsoka is that she was intentionally written to be brattish and hard to tolerate but overtime would grow and improve. So if anyone still hates her after that then thats a skill issue on their part

IIRC the reason the episodes are out of order is because of the work schedule the animators had, some of the episodes were actually animated out of order so they could get more of the shorter episodes done in time to air.
Also, whatever way you watch Clone Wars the Movie comes before any of these episodes, so Ahsoka being Anakin's apprentice wasn't a shock to anyone. Just you boys lol.

Just a heads up, you're going to see a LOT of war crimes throughout the show committed by both sides. As for the jumbled order, there's a few different reasons why the episodes were released out of order. Sometimes they would have an idea later on for an arc that already happened or just want to revisit an older arc, sometimes they'd have an idea early on, but not have the budget for it (they didn't have a very big budget even by TV standards for the first season), but still other times it would be intentional. This episode wasn't originally supposed to be the first episode of season 1, but the order of the episodes was changed very close to the series' premiere for reasons I'm not aware of.

Star Wars: Republic Heros is a 3D platformer that takes the art style and voice actors of Clone Wars and makes its own campaign. If interested in playing, it's best to start only after finishing season 1.
Some think it's garbage, I think it's more of a novelty since it blends well with the Clone Wars shows.

Perhaps still my favorite episode of The Clone Wars. Yoda's wisdom and flexing are on absolute display in this premiere. My love for The Clone Army really started building, from here on. Seeing this after The Clone Wars movie, I had a feeling that my view of The Prequel Trilogy Era would be improved. I LOVE the Malevolence Arc! My favorite string of episodes. Love to see the collection of Jedi, Clone, and Republic Heroes and Heroines that show up for it. Great reaction, Guys. Looking forward to more in the future. Subscribed...finally. May The Force Be With You...👍💙
