So glad you liked it. It is hard not to feel this song if you take the time to get into the vibe in the intro. It takes you on the journey sonically then he takes you home with the lyrics.
"Wake up, before it's too late" Dude, I've listened to 3 of your reactions now, and you consistently get point, on the first listen. That's tough with Tool, you're a sharp dude.
Was not his first listen 😅 he’s singing the parts as they play. The guitar solo at the beginning and a part of the first chorus, both parts hadn’t repeated yet and he sang with it perfect. 🤘 great song regardless if dude is faking the reaction lol
This is the best Tool song I've heard live, then again only seen them once lol. The panning/ping-ponging volume swells during the interlude after Adam's first solo will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up and send chills up your spine. It's so ominous and they extend it live, then when they go into the lead-up to his second solo with the heavy riff and the Moog (he uses a synth on the floor with foot pedals to make those sounds) live...it's perfection. Tool is one of a handful of bands that continues to consistently put out high quality material. I wish I could relive it because I don't know how often they'll play this again live or when.
What a reflection on that song... For me you're bang on point. It took a while to grow on me until I fully understood what's it's about and I could fully appreciate it. It's my favourite now from Fear Inoculum album. Bless 🤘🌀🤘
First off, let's address the elephant in the room. Badass T-shirt Brother. Now to the reaction. I'm gonna quote you often for this one. "Sheeple. You know. They're ok with just falling and they feel like they flying." That's dope as f**k. Obviously, I love the reaction. And I can't think of any Tool song that I don't like. Fire. 🔥🔥 #ChillROC #ChillFam #Tool #Decending
I'm not a huge Dickinson fan as far as vocals go but have always enjoyed the Eddie art. Surprisingly, Bruce is still going at it. I think the last CD I got of his was tattooed millionaire if that tells you how long it's been since I've checked him out 😀. Hope everyone's having a great day. Catcha again soon. ✌️
@@YTubeScandalScrambledMyHandle Yep. I agree with you about not being a fan of his style. The opera style wasn't my favorite, but their overall sound was awesome, so I stuck around. I started from Maidens first album and the last one I got was Seventh Son. I went into the Marines in 89 and my music taste changed a bit. As a result, I just never bought any more of their stuff. Honestly, I don't think I've heard anything of theirs since then. That's over 30 years. Man I'm old. Lol.
@@papaschuette yeah I graduated in '93. Joined active army under the delayed entry program. I have to admit my immature arse got kicked out for having too much fun lol. Coincidentally my YT profile pic is from those days. Not sure if you can see top left over my shoulder but everyone swears it's a demon in the mirror reflection lol. We're not too far away in age. I always get excited when I see others enjoying the music I grew up with. Have a great day Papa. I've got to get some things accomplished. I'll catch up with y'all again soon. ✌️
Music will save our humanity, it already does. when we gather for a show, we are one. funny how we forget that when we leave the show. Most of us don't forget though.

YES, YES SIR!!!! U GET IT! AWESOME. I love watching yr reactions! There real. U actually listen rather than worrying about entertaining an audience!! Thats what we actually appreciate as TOOL fans man!! We know wen sum1's pandering for the views!!?? We're not dumb! Good job my friend!!!! See u on the nxt 1. Keepm commin. Love n Light as always
@@LanceThompsonKssooner this shit has been creeping in since the late 1800's. Mccarthy was right in the 40's- 50's. It really gained a foothold in the 60's as the universities were taken over. Now they've filled enough positions throughout the country and in media that they can blatantly steal elections....it's over Johnny !
I also see the song as a warning that we humans are destroying the planet and if we don't reverse the damage, have 'one drive to stay alive', where will we be in another hundred years? The picture as is doesn't look good for the health of the planet. The ocean sounds just remind me how much damage global warming is doing to the coral reefs and sea creatures and plastic clogging the ocean and ocean levels rising, etc. The serene ocean sounds shows the majestic beauty of the natural world, and we should have more respect for that and for ALL living beings sharing the planet, not just our human selves. But I also agree with your more personal take, that we need to stop thinking we're floating through our lives all numb and complacent when we are actually falling but too apathetic to do much about it. I struggle with that malaise myself lately, just feeling tired and worn out by all the craziness in the world and at 60 still trying to motivate myself to do and be better.
Yo thank you so much for this comment it’s really the truth no matter how old we become we will always be working towards our higher selfs. People need to wake up it’s no time for another 100 years! I think we can do it that’s my goal. & facts I love your take on the ocean and global warming. Much respect 🫡
@@ChillROC Your interpretation was great too, I love how you really get something substantial from your experience of each song. I enjoy reactors who are thoughtful about the music they choose to react to; even if it's just a song without much deeper meaning reactors like you can still bring something new and fresh to a song that an old music fan like me might have heard a lot of times over the years!
I've never really seen any reactions to the song Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three. Not sure if there are copywrite issues with it but I think you'd enjoy them. Great reaction as always bro!! 🤘🏻😤💯🇺🇲
All tool albums are category for them self.but fear inocolum is by far their best work to me,its just so layered and coplexed ,and lyricly it is like prediction, specialy first song
I notice when people find Tool and get it they become smarter .
Slowly each song taught me more than I learned in public school.
Checkout Jethro Tull. Thick as a Brick. Also Bad Brains, eye against Eye.
Best song ever. Listen to it by a campfire in the desert. Amazing. Building spirit
Listen to it by a puddle in the forest
I rock this to start every trip to the outdoor shooting range.
One of my favourite tool songs. The best on the album.
Favorite song from this album
It's been a long long time since I've went a day with out listening to Tool. Great reaction and hope you will enjoy Tool music as much as I do.
Loved how you were vibing musically and spiritually with this journey.
Juan thanks so much it’s very therapeutic 🤘
So, I live in New Zealand but a friend of mine from Wales saw them in Manchester, UK a couple nights ago. He was mesmerised.
I was there aswell. It was phenomenal.
Yo putting my hands up 🙌 like that was my first reaction too to “rise”
haha really thats lit dude

Sounds like the ocean surf. Nice one! ❤️ 🤍💙
Yes I felt like I was floating under the ocean was very nice ❤️❤️
supposedly recorded outdide Danny Carey Malibu beach house.

Adam doing volume swells panned left and right... Then Adam plays Moog bass peddled🔥🔥🔥🔥
He's in the Tool music dimension
My top 2 of this album
"Stir us from our wanton slumber" is the theme for the last 2 years.
2??? Try 2016 ... lets go Brandon!!!
Legally, when they use "wanton" it denotes a reckless disregard....
Unbelievable lyricism!
@@kennethalbert4653 I would include intentional in that as well

10:20 - I believe that's just guitar with a volume foot pedal being eased - to turn it into a pad.
