If you do not relax and spend less energy executing each movement as you play faster you can't reach higher tempos, but will level out at some point and then tire out. That's like a given of fast playing. Besides notes played at speed do not necessarily sound good if played simply as a faster version of the same way of playing that note at a lower speed.
exactly, it seems he even wants to shred the slower blues stuff, also the way he attacks the string makes him look and sound more like a heavy rock player than your gentle blues soul ;)

And the other where Nils is on a boat, NO PRISON WARDEN aka SPRINGSTEEN"a particular venue that I expect you will like. So I hope I am not disturbing your thread. One other fantasy- I am a huge Johnny Rivers fan (no boos please)
and at 75 still has 90 percent of his talent. He played blues with the cajun voice thing in the late 50's. My wish- Secret agent man is not my favorite-
Why no bluesman or otherwise has not made that a nasty new version ???
ELECTRIFIED!
best player ever fast accurate top of the bill no one comes close to him
Rory Gallagher
@WhatSideOfTheBed DidYouWakeUpOn pahahaha van halen? seriously?
Moore's playing can make me cry, sweep my legs away, mindblow me, inspire me, make me angry and happy all in a matter of minutes.
I LOVE his music! Hendrix is the best ever, but the choice between a gig with one of them Moore will be the one for me.
if I could play just half as good as him I'd be a happy man.
chances are, if you are not happy in your current state, you wouldn't then either. Happiness is not something to attain by reaching a certain goal, happiness is the way. It's internal, not external
That's a wise comment if ever I saw one!:)
the comment was more of a salute to Garys guitarist skills, not really a confession about my well being, but I suppose if I did have issues I don't really think I'd seek advice from my throw away comments on youtube, but thanks for your concern. just to clarify: if I could play just half as good as Gary I'd still be a very good guitarist.
Stefan Vass Yeah alright Buddha
lop00pollop00pol - I knew what you meant, bud - and I couldn’t agree more! Everyone thinks they’re freakin’ Yoda these days. Your point was obvious to anyone with half of Gary’s brain!
Explorers and flying V have absolutley anazing middle postion tones which make them great for blues and thats why you see blues players using explorers and V's quite often . Its the middle position tones of those guitars that appeal to blues artists.
Agreed. Too many people believe "odd" shaped guitars are for Rock and Metal only.
the benchmark rock guitarist, imho.
The greatest.
he certainly was
no, he was playing on neck pickup on purpose.
Best guitar player who ever ever walked this Earth Mr Gary Moore 💯🤙 RIP Mr Gary Moore
Ive still got the blues.
That Explorer! A blues rock beast!
RIP LEGEND.... RIP
I saw him in 78 Nazareth and Thin Lizzy Roberts stadium Evansville Indiana 13 years old
5:20 there’s speed, and then there’s SPEED...
Yes sir. Speed with definition, clarity and intention..Gary was just untouchable when he went into pentatonic domination. I can't think of any other guitarist being able to do that.
You got that right! when I watch him play I just want to quit playing lol, Just kidding the inspiration and I love how when I ask the young generation about Gary and most respond Gary who? And I say let show you who Gary Moore is!!
The greatest ever in my opinion
Ryan Ferris yes he was, to me he was Hendrix on steroids
chief wiggums I don’t know you but that has to be the most dumbest comment I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Gary was-sloppy, that’s like saying Lil Wayne is the greatest guitar player ever! Dude his picking from a Chord pattern to a fill or a scale run is so fucking smooth! Who Gary influenced Randy Rhodes, Vivian Campbell, John Sykes, Me, and many others they would tell you ur fucking crazy
From 5:04 onwards what you see is absolute on the spot one take dangerous guitar playing .in an age of over editing guitar videos everyone should watch this
amazing Guy
R.I.P. Gary Moore.
Jesse Williams Some mental issues Jesse ? Oh ! Let me guess. You're American ! That's right ! So it's mental issues...
I have many idols who play Gibsons, but Gary is the reason I got a Les Paul. It sure sounds great, but now the challenge is to try and play like the man himself which is an impossible yet fun task. Truly one of a kind.
Gary moore was a guitar legend.
My favorite.
one of the greatest guitar player`s of alltime.
The most underrated guitar player.
Best I've ever seen live. The most natural freestyle blues guitarists I've seen since are billy walton and Laurence Jones. Check these two guys out.
