    Thank you. I love Phil Lynott and Gary Moore but have often felt conflicted about Moore leaving TL mid gig. Hearing his side of the story has really helped. ❤

      Gary was a serious musician and when the guitar was on it was business. Phil and Scott had developed a bad habit with the after gig party stuff, And Gary just said fu#k it I'm done...He was sorry in retrospective terms but I'm glad they made up in time...My favourite 2 musicians both taken home way too soon.♠️♦️♣️♥️🎶🎸

    Philip and Gary 2 legends, my musical heroes, their relationship was like two brothers they would fight then make up but the love was always there and when they made music together it was magical, thank god we still have the music, the secret to immortality is living a life worth remembering, as Phil would say "are you out there" and to a thunderous response "yeah" 🍀♠️❤️🤘😎x

    The minute I heard Gary say he was in Tenerife I knew what I'd listened to. I was on holiday there at that time and me and my partner were passing a club venue in the evening, and this amazing guitaring was coming out, just awesome, I said that sounds like Gary Moore, no one can play like that. So I'm betting that was Gary. It was a tragic about Phil, and now my all time hero Gary is gone too. Thanks Gary, Thanks Phil.

      To be dark he was the only Guitarist I cried rivers for when I heard the news of his death still do. I have his plectrum and Out in the fields CD signed by him with the Still in Love with you Single. He was very mysterious, but very down to earth about music. If you said anything about music he be on. He wasn't a person who wanted to do music for money, he loved music. His problem was his attitude towards wanting to recording it towards perfection. Often when Gary Moore went home the first take he did on a solo was so perfect the studio manager kept that take on songs. That's Gary Moore. I don't think there will be many like him.

    I was at that Ulster Hall gig where Gary and Phil played live for that last time. December 86 I think it was - Corridors of Power tour maybe. Phil was amazing - he had the audience eating out of his had - and he only guested for 2 tracks! Amazing memory.

    Thank you so much for this upload, these interesting, maybe (during the time) not so widely viewed as we had no internet, streaming in the day, is so valuable to us fans. I live in Tokyo, born in Nashville, my Mum was named McGuire, Fathers side, totally "Wales", so no wonder this music runs deep in my veins ...Which I am sure, my blood should be Emerald Green! Awesome artists and awesome Mates... It is interesting what he says here... I also love this lineup... The American "Scott Gorham" stepping in and never missing a beat, often, he takes the "High Harmonies" on the twin guitar... Check out Boys are back in town, live at the Sydney Opera, maybe most epic live of any band, not only this one... Also, Robo.... What can you say, he is "Blue Collar" straight between your eyes , no nonsense player and grew up like Gary and Phil.... Pretty rough, so he had some rough times with all the "Excesses" , even Scott speaks on this, Partying , drugs and alcohol, it was a constant issue... We are blessed we have what we have, it was crazy times.
    If you can, watch "Emerald" from the "One night in Dublin" tribute by Gary.... Robo, comes on , he says " Halo" (Hello for us US English guys) then totally takes it over, Gary of course shreds it, but there are times I see Robo almost get into Gary's face, sayin' Yeah, I am still here and I am doing the real "Blues leads" on this one "Mate", on my "Vintage Les Paul, through 70's era Marshalls on Robo's side, Gary, sadly at this time sold most of his prized guitars, including "Greeny" he got from "Peter Green"... I just love this great interaction.. Like 2 guys fighting over a girl at the Pub, but still "mates" in the end... . Thank you UA-cam we have all of this🎸🎸 ua-cam.com/video/a8ClucCVd0k/v-deo.html

    Gary Moore was ultra professional and I fully understood his reasons for walking away from lizzy at that point , no matter how unprofessional it appeared. I personally felt it was a real shame because Gary and Phil were like brothers, and I loved Black Rose , but Phil was Phil and never listened to anyone.

    • @Omertahun
      @Omertahun 4 місяці тому +2

      really? You cannot hear nothing of it, other than a few words. Thats really just a plain British accent, very clear, very articulated. It came from the need of singing articulated probably. I couldnt really find an interview from the 70s but in mid 80s he already spoke like that.

      Gary wrote the Song. Phil just had lyrics added to it listen to the song called Europa with Santana Gary got his influences from Santana in mid 70's. Gary Came over to Phil and garbed an acoustic guitar and jamed the opening riff to Parisienne Walks then Phil went out then came back in and said he got lyrics for that song. The feeling with these two working was mutual they should make a movie about gary moore and phil lynotts song writing they were at best when both of them were in a studio its like Paul McCartney and John Lennon by comparison ideas just came by the whole night life album was Gary moore and Phil lynott who wrote the songs Scott Gorham and Brian robertson just came by and rerecorded the songs the only song Robertson didn't want to rerecord was Still in Love with you since gary moore played the guitar to perfect he said he couldn't add anything to it. Only song Scott phil and Robertson wrote on that was Philomena and dear heart and She knows. On the Jailbreak album Phil wrote about Gary Moores bar fights a song called Romeo and the lonely girl .
      (''*For all his good looks there were scars that he took,And a lesson to be learned, Never judge lovers by a good looking covers, The lover might be spurred**)

    I was on la Gomera , which is the island next to Tenerife. This is about two months after Gary died. I play guitar on the beach a lot. And the lady and her daughter was walking by and we just started chat a little bit. It turns out it was his ex-wife and that was his daughter. And they were really cool. And they just were there to chill out because they had went through some shit With him dying and all that of course . You could see she was his daughter. She had that same face as him. But I told her he was great . just be proud of him , here. I am playing some bullshit song on guitar and she’s Gary Moore daughter.
