So, I'm adding the DNA and Exotic Gem to my arsenal this week: which ball should I start with? I'm thinking the Exotic until the lanes start breaking down so I can move a little in with the DNA and let it read earlier.
Start with DNA and then as you need to move in. Throw the Exotic Gem. On the fresh, you want to start with the smoother stuff first and then transition into the quicker response balls.

Great video! Thanks for the comparison. Did you ever have a Crux Prime? These seem pretty similar even though the Crux core is a little weaker. Very cool looking ball though, almost makes me think it's a Phaze II depending on the pour.
Crux Prime would probably be a little stronger up front. That SPEC cover wanted to roll super early from what I remember

I did. The Crux Prime was definitely earlier and more rounded than the DNA or Gem. The SPEC coverstock didn’t really clear the fronts all that well. The DNA does resemble a Phaze 2! Both in color and ball motion. Just a decent amount stronger than the Phaze 2.

Nick, great video! I like the move in video to go right to the lanes. Some Videos, the bowler stands on spot and does to much talking. Good choice on comparing these two bowling balls. I like my Gem but sometimes it is not continuous. And would like to see how Storm DNA shapes up. Thanks.

Gem is the strongest option on the market. The DNA is a nice step down and you’ll definitely see more continuation from the DNA. Compared to the Gem.
@@NickBrownOfficial02where does the phaze 2 line up with the GEM? Is it at the bottom of all the balls you listed in the video at the end?
@@dp-r.est.8995 yes. Phaze 2 fits below all of the balls mentioned in this video.
I mean from everything I’ve seen with the Gem performance-wise it is generally a traction ball. I really want one but I’ve been on the fence between getting it or the RST-X3 for my arsenal.
im still rocking my proton physix and i still really like it but it seems not alot of ppl liked the proton and moved on to say the GEM or the super nova or the DNA. i mean can i get some ppls comments about the proton. thanks
I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the Proton. I like the Gem and DNA quite a bit more. Reality is also a good piece!

The DNA is a huge step down from the GEM. The DNA would probably be redundant to the Phase 2.
I think it’s stronger than the Phaze 2. Definitely weaker than GEM.
This is what I dont understand about the DNA. The DNA has some of the biggest, strongest specs of any balls on paper yet its weaker than the gem? Doesn't make sense. With its specs it should be the ball of the century yet it seems to behave only average for a strong assymetrical it seems. The gem is good too but I still find very few balls better than the reality.
It has a low RG and a high Diff so should hook early and a good amount of flare. However, 75% of the ball is the coverstock and also how it's drilled. If you pin up this ball and hit it down to 500....it will start up mega early. It is all how you customize it
I believe the DNA coverstock is considerably weaker than the GEM. So, that’s why you’re seeing it being weaker.
The Gem is junk. Gave mine away after about 12 games
Sounds like the conditions you bowl on, don’t have enough oil.
@@NickBrownOfficial02 it wasn’t an oil problem. Even the guy from the pro shop who drills all my stuff. Threw it. He said it doesn’t hook. It hooked for about 6 games
