Great video! To the point. I appreciate that. The CAPR39-1 is full of information; however, it sometimes difficult to sift through and some points aren't always clear. Great job and thank you! - Phil
When storing covers in your belt, which side does it go on? I have had a lot conflicting information on this topic and was wondering if you could clear up my confusion.
I know this sounds like a dumb question but can cadets wear the officer hat. I doubt it i just wanna be sure since i love the design so much its my favorite hat
Well, squadrons expect members to bring slightly different things sometimes. I could put a general overview together, but something to keep in mind is that the items members are expected to bring to meetings should be communicated by the chain of command and shared with the membership.
As a squadron commander, here’s my list: uniform, of course. Notebook and pen or pencil, water bottle, pocket drill guide, and then watch your email for any extra supplies requested. During Aerospace and Leadership lessons, I like to have my cadets bring the corresponding booklet.
Civil Air Patrol is just like being in school cadets it's similar to JROTC, bring a black back pack filed with your school supplies , a laptop if you have one a water bottle, your CAP ID . Your school gym clothes are acceptable unless your unit commander tells you they'd rather have you in a Civil Air Patrol PT uniform.
The flight cap is not authorized with the white aviator uniform, correct? The regs say no hat is required, but it doesn't really cover that, specifically.
@@Redberryweo Well i got my first flight cap in june 1971 and still keep it!!! I just remember i bought flight cap (officer version) in 2002 and another in 2007 (officer version) seriously shades of blue was little bit different. and so i have another question what do u think when female AF members wearing men's Service Caps (“Wheel Caps) what do u think that's looking nice or probably attractive ? or just inadequate ?
@@joet7133 Whatever the member prefers! I've seen females mainly wear wheel covers because they are more common to find. I got lucky with the local Airmen's Attic since they had a bucket cap in my size. Brand new ones are fairly expensive.
AFI 26 -3903 is the Regulations for the AIR FORCE. The new Dress Blues are Dark Blue the older ones are a lighter shade. They'll look faded compared to the new Dress Blues .
The Piss Cutter is primarily worn in the Civil Air Patrol. The Wheel Cover is quite expensive and it can be difficult to find in surplus I've seen them sell for $75 . You might get lucky and find one cheaper than that Officer Uniforms are also harder to find than Enlisted and they cost more .
I'm an active duty AF E7 and found this extremely helpful, nice work!

I think the male service cap is way better than the flight cap but I’m an E1 and everyone says it’s “doing too much”
I’m an E3 are you allowed to wear the service cap as an airmen?
@ yes it’s in the afi
@@asdawdaswdas5203 awesome thank you
I had a question, do Cadet Airmen Basics still wear the flight cap device?
All cadets between Cadet to Cadet Chief Master Sergeant wear the CAP flight cap device. Cadet officers wear the big metal insignia.

It goes on your left with the device at the bottom facing outward.

Thank you!!

Cadet officers can wear a service cap that's in the correct style with the correct hat device on the front.
@@Redberryweo thank you!😁👍
It would be great if you could do a video about what to bring in a meeting

what size is the flight cap you wear?
Where did you get your female officers service bucket cap
I got mine for free from an Airmen’s Attic. If you want a new one, they are available at Air Force base uniform shops and can be pretty expensive.
@@Redberryweo thank you so much! Much gratitude from Michigan Wing

Correct! The flight cap is just for AF-style blues.
Hi I know that's weird question but Flight cap in 1620 blue shade ?
I actually don't know what shade specifically. Flight caps aren't listed in CAPR 39-1 as 1620 blue shade.
