Gospelspeak #79: If Any Lack Wisdom

As we begin our study of the Doctrine and Covenants, we also draw upon corresponding events recorded in the annals of Church History. Certainly the first and most significant was the First Vision of the young Joseph Smith, fore-ordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. As we will learn, many of the revelations contained in the Doctrine and Covenants were in direct answer to questions and prayers of the early members. We will also see the unfolding of covenants associated with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the establishment of Church government, and ordinances necessary to inherit the Celestial Kingdom of God where we can live with Father once again.
