I am an Equinox 800 user and have tried the Simplex. Good machine, but The Vanquish 540 TID and tones are the same as the 800. So sold the Simplex and will buy the 540. Nothing wrong with the Simplex, just a personal preference.
I've been out of metal detecting for over 10 years now and I live not to far from the beach. I have been looking at those two machines for quite a while now. Thank you for such a great unbiased video
Very fair and balanced review. Personally I would always take the Vanquish but like you I am also a Nox user. The Multi-IQ does it for me. I prefer a quieter machine. I only want to hear a signal when I go over a target. I have previously owned the Racer and Impact and they were good on the beach but not quite up to Nox standards. I never go in the water so again the lack of waterproofing on the Vanquish is not an issue. I also prefer the APTX low latency bluetooth for headphones rather than being tied into a manufacturer's own phones as with the Simplex. Still...both great machines for the money.
Thanks for the head to head beach review. My wife has ordered a Vanquish for me, waiting for it to come in, so looking forward to more videos. I am just up the Bay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and the Simplex was going to be my other choice. I just think that, except for deeper water, the Vanquish is going to be the top. I don't detect in the water so it was a no brainer. I am going to watch your channel to pick up beach hunting tips. Thanks again!
Thank you! I enjoyed the video comparing the two detectors. As a beach hunter I’m leaning toward the Vanquish as I prefer multiple tones for the target I.D. I hope the shaft is replaceable with an aftermarket rod. Best of luck! Liked and Subscribed!
The Simplex has multiple tones on the beach also... all you need to do with the Simplex is ground balance in Beach mode and then switch over to park one which is what I do and it's fantastic in three tone mode. I actually don't like beach mode tones on the Simplex which is why I switch over.
I'm in Chicago so detecting season is currently closed for me but once it warms up I am going to sell my Fischer F22 and get the Simplex...just can't afford a Nox right now
@@sigafoos78 I am impressed with the vanquish as well but going with the Simplex because of the waterproof design. Would like to get into the waters of Lake Michigan and see what can be found.
Hi comrade! I live in Ukraine. Now there is a war. I moved from Donbass occupied by Russia. For several years now I have been fond of searching with a metal detector. And even in war I try not to betray my hobby. I like your videos. They are diverse and reliable. I like your approach to checking the technical characteristics of metal detectors. I’ve already subscribed to your channel. I am happy to see how you test each device and give a professional assessment to metal detectors. Do this further. I wish you success. Waiting for new exciting videos.
Thanks for the side by side comparison. I've been going back and forth on which would make a good backup machine. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Great review! I have the Simplex and have been enjoying it! I did my first beach hunt a few days ago. I was able to ground balance it down to 00.0! New sub here! Hh and God bless!
A great test I just got the simplex im hoping to get out to beach soon. you have a great channel good video looking forward to the next video happy hunting for 2020 from Ireland
Awesome comparison!! Very simple yet straight to the point. Both machines look great. I cannot wait until I can get my hands on either one of these hopefully soon. I hit that Subscription button because that was a great unbiased test!!🤙 Thank you

6:57 pretty much every machine does that falsing??? You are joking right? Lmfao!!! Not even the go find 60 do it. You should show us how the simplex makes a signal sound in every hole you dig When there is no target burried. And not only the simplex does that anomali, the multy cruser and the anfibio does that too... let's be honest here man!!! Lol
Nice comparison & appreciate the effort made. I would have been nervous burying the two rings, lol. Am still trying to figure out a good beach/ backup machine. 👍😎🦈🦈
Enjoyed the comparison of the 2 detectors. I have the Nokta Makro Simplex and the Minelab Equinox 600, and there isn't much difference in performance. The Equinox maybe has a little faster recovery and maybe a little better depth, not much though.
Thank you for that comparison! You are so right to say both machines do the job and that is locating the target👍🏻 would love to win the detector for my son! Congrats on the subs! HH🎧⛏
but where is the problem with the Vanquish, the control panel is protected against water rain? or do you want to dive with a detector? so that would not even go into that specifically, because nobody dives with their detector. the question is who is better in the country
Nokta Simplex best choice, looks better, works good, waterproof, straight shaft. a little chatty but the vanquish did have a few non repeatable chats as well, louder but less frequent.
Let look at where the most jewelry is out in the water.I would prefer the box 600 even if I had to pay a little more cash and have that out in the water capability to 10ft deep and all the advanced features of minelab.that being said I bought the equinox 800.the 600 is a couple hundred dollars less.their more stable on the beach and out in the water.salt or fresh.
Just subscribed from Brooklyn NY. I was thinking Equinox 800, but a lot of $$$. Me and my friend wanna start a new hobby in this Isolation/Virus times. Simplex is much moore affordable. Where we can buy used detectors? HAVE TO GET MY DETECTOR LICENSE TOO, DON'T WANT TICKETS.
I guess the Simplex is a one-tone machine in beach mode. Not very useful when hunting by tones on the beach. No info on the target except the TID. Super stiff buttons on the Simplex makes it tiresome to navigate and use.
I love it sir ....can you give me one pls hehehe...if i have a luck using the detector i can pay in return...i want to buy but i dont have enough money if give free for now in the future i can pay sure 100% only one hit in detecting in our place may it will double pay for you....

simplex will run at full sens in wet sand without chatter use f3 frequency, 00.0 bg and put it in park mode! runs perfectly and is nice and deep. it would also be nice to see you dig the holes, they could be 2 inches down and we wouldnt know! terriable video!

My pleasure, thanks for watching
Thanks Beach Hunter , A good review. It shows the depth and ease of the Simplex.
Loving my simplex. I think I made a good choice for the money. The vanquish look awesome as well, shame it's not submersible.
Thanks for the comparison. I've been looking at both of these machines. I think if the Vanquish was waterproof it would make my choice a lot easier.
If the Simplex was multi frequency there would be no competition!
The Simplex manual says to manual GB at Zero for beach! Good video
This was great thanks for the comparison. We use the equinox 600 and they are also top detectors!

good comparison, i think that the vanquish respond more clearer to the gold ring, no? wich go deeper? the nokta or the vanquish?
I definitely love the vanquish. Great video. Glad to have found this channel.
Subscribed to yours as well
Good simple review mate , I use a nox , my choice would be the vanquish ,purely on tones . Cheers
Do you find the vanquish 540 chattery on wet sand i have one and it is on my beaches
Really fair review... unbiaised and realistic! Thanks for giving one of us a chance to win a Simplex soon!

Love the content !! Just subscribed ! Brand new to metal detecting and I was toying with buying one of these two as my first .....
Their fire up and go detectors and have manual and automatic ground balance.
Just got a vanzuish 540 for me and a vanzuish 340 for my grandson I like them alot.
I got them at Dicks Sporting Goods
It’s way more expensive at Dicks though
Ya probably is but I was on vacation and me and the grandson wanted to metal detect the beach so I got them anyways.
Nice video. I just got the simplex and I haven’t had a chance to get out and use it yet. I’m on holiday. Lol.
Please next time review quest x5 or quest x10 brother...greetings from indonesia🤝🇲🇨
Do multi frequencies make such a difference in the Vanquish ? I have the choice of these 2 detectors at the moment
I saw some other videos on the simplex saying for the ground balance manually set it to 0.0 for beat results on the beach
Yes, at least here in VA that seems to work best
Thanks for the comparison as I am looking at getting a new machine as my one was stolen, yah for insurance
Thanks for the vid. New sub here. I have been eyeballing these machines to purchase for a little while. You did the exact comparison I hoped for.

The nox 600 should be smoking the simplex just like the vanquish does with multi.
Sir....simple can work any kind soil condition
congratulations for the video. a question? better on the beach and in water than nokta or vanquish? thanks
I'm not sure which one to buy

Dragonfly Digs stay tuned, I ordered 5 gofinds also, I’ll be doing quite a few giveaways very soon
Hi buddy. Great videos. I wonder how the simplex is in the water to diced which one to by. Do u know?
Tnx. Greetings from Israel
In fresh water it is flawless, saltwater it’s a little jumpy
Enjoyed watching your video and supporting small youtubers with my subscription and hope to buy a Simplex this summer your video was helpful.
very good review on both one is multi frequency that will always be more stable then single freq but amazing review :)

Why but both of those when you could have a nox 600 for same value
Good comparison. Have a happy new Year!

Very good review. Thanks
Well done. Just subbed. I run an Equi. 800 and tdi beach hunter.
How do you like the TDI?
very good tests, the only thing is vanquish is not for underwater search %(
And the Simplex is not for Saltwater searching, so.theres that.
FYI my nox 800 is absolutely silent on wet salt water sand
Golden Boy so is mine
Vanquish 540 all day more expensive but far superior all round
If I had to choose one of them.. Vanquish is the Best budget Salt Water hunt.. Solid tone and no Chatter..
I guess the Simplex is a one-tone machine in beach mode. Not very useful when hunting by tones on the beach. No info on the target except the TID. Super stiff buttons on the Simplex makes it tiresome to navigate and use.
