i noticed these shows have been re-posted..i've seen a few of them years ago, today im going to re-watch them all again, just in case they get yanked again..Peace WILL in Evansville,Indiana
DJ Cash Money has been my idol since I first heard one of his party tapes in the mid 80's. Around the lunch tables in Philly it was always Cash or Jeff and I always chose Cash. His record/toy/memorabilia collection is legendary. He and Rich Medina got me into digging for 45's in the 90's. This was one great episode. Good looking on interviewing the legend and as far as him being a Cowboys fan, nobody's perfect. LOL
Man I said it before not only is Cash Money one of the best to ever do it. But he knows his old school history as well. I remember the cereal box that came with the 45 as well lol. I miss back in those times it was A lot of fun.
Wooow!.....The Sequential Circuits Studio 440 drum machine!!! Rumor has it that Dave Smith, the owner and developer of Sequential Circuits, had only manufactured only 500 of these units.
Don't remember what it's called but my understanding is that it was never put in to production and that Cash snapped up most or all of the prototypes. There is a diffrent version without the lip to drop the 45 in called a 45 twister. Most DJ sites sell them.
Being born in 1970, I remember those bendable plastic records. They were for kids so we couldn't break them. This episode was great!! soundcloud com/scottyrock12
I'm going to do you a favor and not tell you. Not sure if you are interested in carte digging or not but since you are here, I'm going to take it that you are. The intro song is on the UBBs which are the canon of Hip Hop breaks. If you aren't familiar with them and you are into crate diggin', beat making or Hip Hop in general, you should become familiar with them.
It;s called Dap Walk by Ernie and the Top Notes. It's a super rare 45 out of New Orleans that was a local/regional hit. Good luck finding the original cause what wasn't snapped up by Japanese collectors was probably destroyed in Katrina. I think there was a reissue though
Every 45 Collector's dream right here! Original pressings have sentimental Value & a Must Have. This is a very good video!!
Enjoyed that!! Peace, Cash Money!
Commercial on 45! Cash Money will forever be the man!
