@@WolfXCIX Nah I think Madlib would love to do a crate diggers, His objective with sampling is to show off the older music that got looked over. I really really wanna see his brazil/indian crates, and hed probably filter out loads of the crap and show of that stuff
@@thesehoesbeaskingmeifimyou doom has mad records his stuff is mostly self produced and often overlooked. He released 10 volumes of his own beats (special herbs)
Sounds like such a funny little kid, coming home with records. I used to call my mom at work and ask if I could do any chores so I could get a tape from Sam goody
Parents can be such dream killers. The fact that he had to go through all of that just to bring some records home shows how out of touch parents can be. It wasn't STD-carrying hookers or cocaine, just VINYL RECORDS. Individuality FTW.
Yes. I wonder if this show will ever make it to television. Great show. I know this guy from a lot of dilla stuff. It's crazy Madlib didn't mess with 45's. I don't like 45's too much either but I'll definitely be on the lookout now.
Wow, so much knowledge is inside of these type of producers. I wish i could learn how to digg with Madlib, J Rocc, Questlove and of course the legend himself, J Dilla.
Notice how when he was goin' through his Hip-Hop records, he was like "then here's my 2000's section, which is a small section." Translation: Most of the 2000's shit is wack, lmao...
J.Rocc is my type of vinyl diggin' kat, he's into anything that looks cool but won't get fooled into buying a record for crazy amount of money, I'm a $1 bin digger as well.
Mad Props to JRocc. A dope DJ & beatmaker. I too have various sections, with an isolated DILLA samples section. Keep em coming. Please do a MADLIB vid. Peace...Netm8kr
yo I can listen to this shit all day;especially because i didn’t know that there was a machine to de-warp records, man if i knew that back in the day then i would have a lot more records.
Wolf n' J Rocc thought they was @ a 🍬 candy store. 45 RPM'S GALORE 🎧🎤🎹. You can hear it in J Rocc voice he misses J Dilla. A close bond can't neva be broken.
I feel ashamed that I also have a Hoez with Attitude record. It's not the one J Rocc has at 6:21 on the shelf but I definitely recognized the cover art. To be fair I got mine free in the mail with another record bought off of a guy on discogs. That record was good; Hoez with Attitude is not.
If you own a record cleaning machine, don't push down like that when you clean them. That's a sure fire way to damage your records. Specially if the felt pad doesn't go all the way to the tip since exposed RCM arm will grind into the record. Replace pads regularly as well.
I have ran into j rocc twice and both times he gave me a hand shake , a real humble dude. The funky president!
this dude loves music the most out of all the Crate Diggers series... he's still curious with the excitement of a cool kid... stay gold
Dude is funny
I don't know how you remember what you already have and what you don't, when you've got that many records. It's like a shop!
My mind was blown when he has a dewarper and record cleaner god bless this man
These videos are great for other dj's who need to be re-inspired from time to time
i feel like a straight nerd watching this and loved every minute
I'd love to see more of what kind of gear these guys use for personal listening. Turntables, cartridges, amps, speakers.
Probably just keep it 1210 tbh
I love listening to him. A barrel full of passion 🔥
The Madlib impersonation is spot on.... But the Jrocc impersonation on Dj Babus episode of crate diggers is even better 😂
“Rare earth is GREAT!” Sooo genuine and cute 😂
I’ve been watching this all the time, so inspirational!
That Warp Fixer is Sweet, needed that a few years back, when I was a Vinyl Collector & Seller- miss beat-diggin'....... Album Art!!!
Dr aftershave and the mixed pickles hahaha dope!
Thank God for J. Rocc! Bless!
id love to see mf doom or madlib on crate diggers
I don't think mf doom has much records but madlib I would love love LOVE to see
Madlib would probably take like a full day to go over, he has so much material to show off. Probably some of the most unreal stuff you'll ever see.

RIP

The greatest mixer of all time and it isn’t close or for debate
Yessss. Goblin's "Profondo Rosso" peaking out.
Sounds like such a funny little kid, coming home with records. I used to call my mom at work and ask if I could do any chores so I could get a tape from Sam goody

Crate Diggers is the best UA-cam series created. Need to do some more UK folk, so dope!
that room is pure paradise.
J rocc has the best collection out of all the crate digger episodes.............no doubt.
He has an amazing collection and inspires me to keep collecting #physicalthingsistheway
love this guy, he's like "i'll do the interview drunk"
Stones Throw records forever!!!! It`s infinitely continued...
This video almost had me in tears... tears of laughter and jealousy
i wish i was as old as this guys and born on the vinyl years.if i could just have at least half of all these vinyls i could die in peace
maybe you should try to aim at a little stack like this first and then progress to bigger goals
instagram.com/p/BHIc36xBef7

Rocc's a natural-born stand-up artist!

He likes his music for sure !
Thank you my brother.
LMFAO this dude is so funny
We need a new season!
Damn! This is probably my favorite thing on Fuse! I love the Crate Diggers series.
Notice he says "all my hip hop is here from 80-90's then over there into the 2000's which is a very small selection" WORD!!
Idk man you can listen to modern hip hop and not buy it on vinyl. It's just a little pointless with new things
Love the stories on these videos. Some crack me up.
My boy Tim would love this!!!
Dude used to work at Fat Beats in LA when it was on Vermont...always friendly & super humble.
THANK YOU! I WAS WAITING FOR THIS! I KNEW THAT J ROCC WAS NEXT THANK YOU FUSE!
Notice how when he was goin' through his Hip-Hop records, he was like "then here's my 2000's section, which is a small section." Translation: Most of the 2000's shit is wack, lmao...
lol correct, plus they didnt really put most albums out on vinyl. luckily most the good ones got put out on vinyl
I too found that Russell Brothers record for $1 sealed at a flea market
This series is great!!
Today I just got a brand new copy of Fred Wesley and the JB's....what an album!
love this series. keep it going!

the rare earth name drop was sweet
J.Rocc is my type of vinyl diggin' kat, he's into anything that looks cool but won't get fooled into buying a record for crazy amount of money, I'm a $1 bin digger as well.
That Herbert Laws record is 🔥🔥🔥
Am sure he was present when a lot of super great projects were being crafted, but Madvillany, Donuts and The Unseen is way more than enough!

His Madlib impression is great
Jrocc schooled Madlib on crate digging. Can't believe that!
Shoutout to the Beat Junkies
This was great. I wanna buy him a record to add to his collection, but he probably has it already. 😆😂😁
I wonder how many he has now!! 2020
I need that J.B. record nowwww
Poddy Mouth!!!! lol I love It!!!!!
the record cleaner and the dewarper WOW!
Didn't DJ Shadow sample that Finger 5 record for the outro drums on The Number Song?
11.03 - WTF?! Lots of serious collectors have a record cleaner, but I've never even seen one of those! That's commitment...
the library in my home town has cd's for rent, and I would request a few here and there to listen to you know.
Legend frfr
best video thing ever
"Toe Fat, Two... Who?! I'll take it!"
So much poetry in that one sentence
What is that Banksy vinyl?
Its not vinyl, its just the cover of his book from a few years back, which is conveniently 12"x12" shaped

Haha he guessed he had about 60-70 then the bottom right pops up saying 1,000 that killed me
Please make episode on Shadow & Dante Carfagna! Egon & Cut Chemist too!
Impressive collection :D
MADVILLAIN I SEEN IT!
What's the turntable he's got in the white case??
Man, these guys are so goofy. Wish I was doing my thing around this time. Sure looks like they had a lot of fun.
