- This is my weekly update! This week I still can't fish on doctors orders while recuperating from my shoulder surgery! However, I've really got turkey call making to a new level and I'm thinking about selling a few handmade, signed, tuned custom calls!

Roland two weeks don't sound long enough for a cut to heal much less shoulder surgery. Don't rush it and mess up the work he did

Keep that shoulder healthy Roland! If there's any chance at all of your Bassmaster Legend's exemption happening and you fishing the Elites with Scott next year, no way is a quick outing now worth aggravating the shoulder. If you guys are able to travel the Elites together next year, I'm telling you (son!) it is going to rock the fishing world and your UA-cam viewers are going to relish it. If either (or both) of you happen to finish high up in the money a few times, it will be even better. Regardless of how you finish, I know the experience will be the opportunity and memory of a lifetime, and the videos will live on forever! We appreciate you both and your channels so much. My brother loves turkey hunting, maybe not killing as much now tho. My dad loved it so much that the last year of his life my brother took him out to the field with truck and then with 4 wheeler so he wouldn't have to walk much. Dad had great time even tho he didn't get to go as much.

Roland ... First things first ... You are in prayer for both your shoulder and anything else that ails you!!! Second: sign me up for one of your calls ... mahogany body with cherry paddle; that combo should be awesome!!! Third ... I had to functionally give up bass fishing in my early twenties in 1974; am selling the ranch and preparing for the bass spawn next March. For too long, ranching, my career and my family have gotten in the way of rod, rifle, shotgun and pistol. No more!!! Third: me and mine wish you and yours all things great and good. I bought a Doug Camp Custom back in the late 90's and paid 140 for it, had a little tiny ziploc bag inside with chalk ready to go, so I'd say 200 for a Roland Martin Custom call wouldn't be a too bad of a price! Better get to making them calls, spring is coming fast, make 100 and sell em! If you do good make another 100!

You gave Roland some Good Advice. His surgery has to Heal on the INSIDE. For a Good Recovery things take Time. Just be Patient & Don't Rush the Process.

Holy Cow your able to do that already. My 65 yo friend was in agony for 2 weeks before he could do that. Heal up good you tough ole bird. Do some reloading. Those big bass aren't going anywhere 🤣

Be easy on that shoulder man. I don't know what you had done to it exactly, but I had mine opened up and fixed. I didn't completely follow instructions from the doctor, I stopped wearing the brave weeks before I was supposed to. I began to use it when it felt ok enough to, and I got back into rodeoing with it almost 2 months before the suggested time I should have sat out. Now I've got half the range of motion I should have, more scar tissue built-up and honestly I need to have it opened back up again. And I'm only 29. I'm just saying. Love your videos and hope to see them new ones flowing in and you healthy in them 👍👍

I am glad you showed your mistake caller. I think I remember Neil cost saying he kept his shop warm with his mistakes. If you buy a box caller from wal mart I can about guarantee the maker of it didn’t care how it sounded.
