- Welcome to a place that (before I moved to Florida) I never thought I would visit! Universal Studios Orlando! We had a great time exploring the park and eating some really good food (wait for dinner for that) we also saw more of Harry Potter World and rode some fun rides!

Waves of Disney: Those magical feelings you get as your excitement level grows for Disney. Whether you are planning a big family trip or just walking to your favorite attraction. The Waves of Disney describe the wave of emotions that we get as your excitement for Disney grows and grows.
The korean beef tacos at Bumblebees are amazing! Give them a try. Also, if you stop comparing Universal to Disney, you'll have an even better time. Just enjoy it for what it is....
Who else was yeling directions at the screen when they were looking for Diagon Alley? 😆😆 So good to see you guys trying a new park!
I was totally yelling directions!
I was also yelling for them to head down Nocturn Alley!
My family and I did the same thing when we went there for the first time lol newbies
This is honestly the best thing ever that you’re trying new things!
Michael: “I saw aliens but there was no clear target.”
The targets ARE the aliens! That’s why the MIB ride is so much more immersive than Buzz Lightyear! Haha, love you guys
The horror make up show isn’t a scary show. It’s a show on how they do the make up in horror movies. It’s amazing! Hopefully you can do it next time
It's funny! Shame that everyone walks past it :(
You guys missed so much that makes universal great!
Right??? No ET????
Agreed!!! Was watching this like oh man wish they could’ve gone for the first time with a tour or with a friend that knew the ins and outs of Universal. May have been a better first experience
They're so negative and they don't even do half of the things there.
Agreed! They skipped so much and didn’t experience much.
He’s a Disney guy!
There are SO many good choices for food at Universal, Krusty Burger was prob the worst place to start 😬. Still fun to say you tried a Krusty Burger though, lol. Try the food at Three Broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron! Delish!!!
Totally agree and the taco truck in Springfield is pretty good too.
Love watching your videos! But please stop comparing Universal to Disney, they are 2 different parks.
🧐🧐
There are plenty of rides to try in Universal Studios, the E.T ride is worth checking out, the Simpsons ride is great as well, and Rip Ride Rocket is awesome
Men in black alien attack is by far way better than ratchet buzz light year space ranger 😂
Nico Giulianti I totally agree.
MIB is light years better, lol
Omg I totally agree too...
My favorite part of this is watching you guys walk right past Diagon Alley while looking for it. I did the EXACT SAME THING when I went, and I let my friend search for it when I went with her a few years later. I think it honestly adds to the experience! LOL
Hahaha that was funny
Bravo to you and David for going in very open minded, Glad you went.
The Butterbeer Ice Cream is really good!!!! 😍
You guys missed so much at Universal Studios! Go back soon!
The Horror Make Up Show is actually more of a comedic tone. You should try watching it. The host was so much fun.
Marcus Giltan that show is great!
Yea, it's more comedy and how things are kinda done, not scary. Missed chance not to go see that.
Yes I took my daughter when she was 4 years old to it!
Since universal is so close to residential areas they have closing times earlier due to noise ordnances. It makes for an early night but at least Disney is close by to drive over to!
Michael, ya'll should check out Orlando Informer Meetup. December is sold out but the next party is on February 28th and 29th. It is a separate charge but your food and beverages are included, all you can eat. Very low crowds, after hours and so totally worth it!
Glad you went...and love that you're wearing a Disney shirt and using the two finger point! 😂😂😂
As someone from the Portland area, where voodoo doughnuts is from, it is overhyped and the donuts are not that great. It has become a super touristy place and you have to wait like an hour on a given day. Salt in straw (also from Portland) is 100% worth the hype, and I’d wait for hours to get some of that ice cream.
I love Universals! Next time, try taking the train from Islands of Adventure to Universals Studios, there is a whole different story line than the one you seen. Great Vlog!
If you want a good burger, loved NBC Sports bar and grille, atmosphere is good too( if you don’t want all the TVs lol try a seat near the open windows ). Glad to see you try Universal.... I’m a Disney girl but my husband and kids like Universal too so we go but not as often as Disney lol I do love Harry Potter world!
Very happy you came over to the dark side Michael lol! I love Disney but have been a Universal fan forever!! Harry Potter is one of my favorite s!! You will really enjoy Rip rock rollercoaster Transformers The Mummy and ET is adorable. Cant wait to see more adventures from there. Also you must buy the large doughnut from The Simpsons. Great vlog as always!
I’m excited you are trying new things!!! 😍
is it just me or was that an eggo toaster waffle on david’s sandwich?
It looks like it 😆
It looked undercooked
It’s a chicken and waffle sandwich. It’s a good sandwich.
Amanda Casey I know that, just don’t think a toaster waffle makes for a good sandwich in my opinion😂🤢
LOL.... As guys searched for Diagon alley and Michael's face as he walks in.
Been to Universal once..
Disney for me 💖
You need to try the fish and chips at The Leaky Cauldron/Three Broomsticks!
I wouldnt say i dont like these universa vlogs but i prefer the disney ones it just feels more magical
This is honestly the best. Love seeing your reaction to these new experiences!
Love your first impressions but IMO Universal is not a place were you can find amazing food AND keep in mind you cannot compare the parks is a totally different experience, again IMO. Hope you can enjoy the Christmas decorations and shows and passholder events, that I truly miss.
Clearly muggles, straight out of Disney
That makes me want to go back to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Butterbeer is amazing!
You need to eat in either Diagon alley or Hogsmeade. The food in Wizarding World is amazing!!!!
Omg i totally agree. Soooo good
Michael!!!!! YOU NEED TO GO ON ET
"Maybe I'll get a Krabby Patty"
Sweet summer child
Rope Drop Disney 🤣🤣🤣
Rope Drop Disney 🤣🤣🤣
It’s a whole new world! 👍👍👍👍
YES!!! It’s like a bizarro world but I like it. Glad you guys went!
This is awesome Michael! So glad you opened your heart and mind to have this experience. I look foward to you going more and more. So glad you buth had a great time!💖💖💖
This is fantastic seeing you trying new things. Hope you have a special place in your heart for all things Universal. Fabulous.
Michael I am with you on the horror stuff. The real world can be scary enough .Give me Disney any day.Keep up the great reporting.
Oh my,I’m so excited for you! Hoping this means we will be getting your insight shared across many Florida attractions in the future.
You said you have an emotional connection to Disney. We all do. That's why we are here watching your channel. That's why I never go to Universal when I visit Orlando. 😊 But I thank you for showing it to me as it really does look amazing and I'm sure my family would have a blast there. As you build your life and maybe a family in the Orlando area, you will memories and one day have an emotional connection to Universal too! Thank you for this great vlog.
So glad to see you both trying new things. I remember when Universal and Hollywood Studios was one theme park.
Thank you for covering this. I love Harry Potter. I need to visit Universal
So you gave away that you are an annual pass holder when you said you got 20 percent off you meal
One thing you should try, breakfast with the Grinch! The food is basic but the character interaction is top notch. We had one of the later reservations and we got extra time with the Grinch
You will find some of the best food at Three Broomsticks and the leaky cauldron.also the theming in those restaurants is phenomenal. Give it a chance.
Good to see you experience new things! Very worldly 😉😎👍. David’s video and camera shot for the wand show was not as dark in the dark. Did you use the GoPro 8 with that dark shot also?
Also thinking the long wait time for the Hogwarts Train between parks was maybe also due to park closing for everyone going to Islands of Adventure at the end of the day. Maybe try checking wait time at other day parts ?
Loved Harry Potter and Vudu donuts!! Sweet you tried something new and had fun😁
Finnegans is my favorite food spot inside Universal, it's an Irish pub across from the Mummy ride.
You should have gone for the Simpson ride, so much better than MIB (especially if you've done Buzz or Midway Mania) and I'm sure you'll like the makeup show :)
I’m so happy you went! I went for my first time this year! Universal just landed a spot in my Disney adventure rotation of parks!
Brilliant vlog guys. It's great to see your reactions on a new park
Don't be scared to try the Horror Makeup show! It's actually more funny and entertaining. I'm with you though - I have NO interest in Halloween Horror Nights.
The Horror Make up show really isn't that bad. I went with some family and they all wanted to watch it, and I definitely don't do anything horror or scary. I was super anxious, but it wasn't that bad. It really just breaks down a lot of the different effects that are used in movies.
Make sure you go and visit Suess Landing during the next few months. It becomes Snowflake (Whoville) from the Grinch and they have whos running around and a full stage show in one of the soundstages. Their character breakfast for Grinchmas is pretty fun too!
Have to agree with you about Universal Food, it’s sub par. All “quick service” type restaurants fall short of what you would expect them to be. I would rather eat at Cosmic rays, then any universal restaurant
I need to go back to universal. I haven’t been since 2017. When i went, i enjoyed The Simpson’s ride and the ET ride
Surprised when I seen the title, but again you didn’t disappoint. You were very detailed I actually didn’t know the simpsons food area they had a ton of variety’s.
I'm happy that you decided to go. Open mind is the way to go :)
Yehey!!!
As a potter head. Butterbeer is amazing
I've seen videos of Horror Nights, and I know you will NOT like it. I'm afraid of scary things, and I would never go. Actors come up to you on the street and try to scare you. In the houses people pop out at you. I don't think they actually touch you, but people looked terrified walking through. I don't know why people like being scared. It would be like a nightmare coming to life. DON'T DO IT, MICHAEL! 😱
Hey Michael! The food at Springfield isn’t the best but I recommend the food at Diagonally
I visited Universal for he first time this year, I’ve been back a good handful of times since. I have an AP and I really do enjoy it for what it is. There are some truly exceptional attractions here: Forbidden Journey, Spider-Man, Escape from Gringotts, The Hulk, Doctor Doom, and The Mummy, but for every great ride there’s a lesser counterpart. For every great theming there is a giant rollercoaster sticking out above New York. I think they are moving in the right direction with their most recent additions though and I’m looking forward to experiencing Hagrids. I still think WDW is the superior resort. You were talking about emotional attachment, I can confidently say I don’t have any emotional attachment to any universal ride except Spider-Man because his movies are so nostalgic and the character is dear to me.
The camera you used made the colors seem so vivid. Love seeing Universal Vlogs but do wish you were more open minded. You said you had an open mind and open heart but I didn't feel you fully did. You even said you are emotionally invested in Disney. I would love to see you try ET, The Mummy, Simpsons, etc, plus some of the other food options and snacks too, but please just enjoy it and stop comparing back to Disney! #moreuniversalvideosplease!!!
Awesome! Love Universal! Pizza at Red Oven Pizza Bakery in Citiwalk is outstanding, you have to try it someday! It is a family favorite of ours!
I've never been to Universal and I'd be lost if I did so I find your videos extremely helpful (as always). Keep up the good work!
Excellent! I'm glad you were able to experience Universal Studios.
Great vlogs Michael! What a great way to explore Universal into your magical life!
On the kings cross station board it says theirs a train to Doncaster uk. Our home town 😊
Favorite part about this video is that you wore a Disney shirt lol!!
Micheal good to see you and David trying universal for the first time
One big thing that’s stands out to me personally between Universal and Disney, is that Universal has more non family rides. Such as I know my family can pretty much go on almost anything at Disney “together” which is a major point. My husband and daughter were sitting out for many of rides at Universal because they were simulated to a high paced degree, where it made me even slightly Queasy and I don’t get like that. Regardless good to try new things but as we know Disney is Disney😀😀
The train has two different experiences. It all depends on the direction you are traveling.
I am glad you had such a great time at universal! Now i want a 🍩. Lol 😂 Great day! ❤ it.
Do take the train the other way back...the trip is different.
Hey guys, FYI the best quick service restaurants at Universal (non-citiwalk) are at the two Potter locations. Definitely check those out.
Great video. ET is a fun old school ride. Simpsons is awesome! I am not really a horror movie guy, but I really do want to go to Horror Nights. Not everything at Horror Nights is scary. They have a Ghostbusters themed maze. Also, Killer Klowns from Outer Space isn't meant to be scary. It's a cheesy, funny 80s "Horror Movie" which is goofier. The Klowns are more playful and characters are more geared towards photo ops. I think you should try it once. The Mummy ride is awesome. The effects on that one are cool. It is a roller coaster. You might like the Jimmy Fallon ride, too. If you are at Islands of Adventure, you gotta muster up the courage for The Hulk. That roller coaster is so much fun. I don't think it is any scarier than Aerosmith or Everest.
I would love to see you take the Hogwarts Sorting Test. I would love to see what house you are in.
The Horror and Makeup show isn't scary at all. It's quite funny as they show how they do different things.
panth753 agreed! Horror and makeup show is awesome!
panth753 I feel like he’s a Ravenclaw!
Horror makeup show is actually a comedy. You may just like that one. I did and I won't go to Horror nights.
Glad to see you branching out to new places...Orlando has so much to offer. You won't ever see me at HHN, either. Also someone probably shared this already but the big lard lad donuts are the same from Joffreys at WDW & they come from a bakery a little up the road in Central Florida. Also, the quick service burger and chicken sandwich are probably the same the generic food from Disney & many other theme parks.
Very good to know. Thanks
Hogwarts Expeess is always busy on Halloween Horror nights
YES experience life! So awesome!
I suggest you check out the horror makeup show its actually not scary it's more of a comedy show I think you would enjoy it! It happens year round.
This was a fun vlog seeing a new park with you. The camera quality is really nice as well.
The food in the Wizarding World of HP is the only good food at Universal. I wish you could buy a whole cup of that topping they put on top of the frozen butterbeer.
I feel like you guys are to critical to enjoy anything, just sayin. I feel like you guys are negative ab some of the best stuff.
I was and still am very scared of horror things but I went to horror nights this year and had a blast it's a really fun event. Some houses are scarier than others so only did 3 but still had a tone of fun would definitely encourage you to do it.
The Tim Trackers wife Jenn doesn't like scary either so they go to one of the early days when they have the lights on and it is run earlier so you can see everything in the daylight.
Halloween Horror Nights is a must do (even if you don’t enjoy scary things)! My husband and mother both dislike horror movies and had the best time at Horror Nights! However I do suggest the splurge on the RIP tour to eliminate the long waits for haunted houses. Ive been the last 2 years and am already hustling to be able to make the trip next year for HHN 30!
As an annual pass holder I have to say that the food at Universal is ok at best. The Mummy and Transformers are a must ride as well as Jimmy Fallon.
Phil Baxter we always eat dinner in city walk and lunch in wizarding world.
bacon maple bar is where its at
I know it’s not inside a park, but if you happen to be out towards the Clermont area, look up DG Doughnuts. They’re absolutely incredible!
Express pass reduces the wait but it's worth it to ride HE in both directions.
You should really see the Horror Makeup Show...not scary, it's a blast...it is really amazing..
We went last summer instead of Disney. IMO, Wizarding World is as close as Universal gets to Disney Magic. Their Marvel area is not so great. Disney would do it MUCH better. Still they have great rides. Love the Hulk Coaster!
You have to remember, Super Hero Island opened in 1999. Now they can't make any changes to improve it.
I like your other cameras as a first choice. The go pro seems to have a distorted look.Ill be at WDW Nov 5th From New England for 7 days, I have never tried the Night Blossom being it seems to be a high #1 for David, Now I'll have to :)
The mummy is the best ride at studios
Digging the new openings!
So glad!!
Night Blossom is my favorite Disney snack I had 4 in one day at Animal Kingdom!
I feel the same way about scary stuff as you, Michael! Great video!
Rebekah Bell 😊 so glad you agree
