I really, really love these videos with Mick and Peter. I really enjoy the friendly banter and amazing playing on equally amazing guitars! Andertons really know how to make great review videos! Best on the interwebs!
You guys have an incredible dynamic when you play together. Really awesome. I would love to hear an entire record of Anderton's dudes jamming like this with a full band.
Es330 has a vibe, old school, es335,are great, but if you have a Les Paul, then you don’t need a 335, but you, will want the 330, because it’s like playing a acoustic, but electrified, and the feedback can be used in a very useful musical way, 330 is a sleeper, been around for years, but never got the respect it deserves? It’s much more fun to play than a 335, lighter, and p 90s are great sounding pickups, more pleasing tones than a humbucker.
Great guitar players. I own in a 1963 Gibson ES 330 TDC that I paid $100. for in 1977. I only had $100, and I had my choice between a Gibson or a 1961 stratocaster.. I picked the Gibson because the guy did not have a case for the strat.. I still have my 330...Nothing has ever been changed on it, it’s never been set up, I’ve never even had the pick ups off. It plays and sounds the best to me.This was the guitar I played in all the garage-bar bands back in the 70s and 80s until I got tired of getting home at 4AM smelling like an ashtray , and then I had to turn around and go straight to my real job at 7 AM.. The case still smells like cigarettes, and I don’t smoke. Of all my guitars, which I still collect, my 330 is still my favorite. Something happens when I play the 330. I’m more accurate, more creative . It just makes me want to keep playing
Nice review guys. The ES-330 is a really special guitar. It is on my long term wish list ever since getting into Grant Green who, to me, ios the quintessential 330 player. The guitars are so good sounding.
Boys, that was something special. Mick is spot on about classic guitars. I have the first 3 and I was emotionally pushed over the edge today... a 335 is next for me. I know this was published 1 1/2 years ago; don't know why I had not seen this video before but very happy it came up in my feed.
Both these the guys are excellent guitarists but I could listen to Pete all day. I don't know how he comes up with so many riffs of differing genres. Keep up the good work you two
Gary Clark Jr would disagree with EVERYTHING you said about the 330. The P90s have a real vocal quality to the midrange. Also they are highly responsive to the right hand.
Could listen to these guys all day. Not only are they monster players, they know their guitars. Electric or acoustic. Mucho respecto. Or something like that.
I wonder why then usually don't use P90's with the 335 semi, or Humbuckers with the 330 hollow body (maybe Epiphone?)? I prefer the 330 in general, because it's tone has more dimension and sustain, and I like clean, pretty music, with harmonics, rather than distorted rock and roll sounds (getting old I guess). Interestingly, Ibanez Artcore guitars use two thick layers of maple sandwiching a thin layer of mahogany, and they seem to sound better acoustically to me than the Gibson maple-poplar-maple. I think Gibson uses poplar for the center thicker layer, sandwiched between two thinner maple veneers? Ibanez likely did a huge amount of research on the sound of wood laminates, before using that formula, and it works When you think about it, having thicker maple sandwiching a thin layer of mahogany makes sense, because that creates a harder, denser laminate, hence more volume and sustain. Ibanez Artcore guitars only cost a few hundred dollars, instead of a few thousand for a Gibson (or well over a thousand anyways) - change the pickups and hardware (not always necessary), and they are almost better than Gibson's - I supposed Epiphones are inexpensive too, but they usually don't impress me as much as Artcores do. Although their finish isn't nitro - that isn't as important on a laminated guitar. Just saying, us poor people can still afford to buy great guitars these days!
Being an ole fart I can remember in the late `60s and early `70s that 330s were so unpopular that you could pick one up for £70 - £80. People would stuff them with kapok to try and ease the feedback problem. P90s have been reckoned to be excellent pick ups for playing the blues and Pete demonstrated that beautifully. I`ve never been a fan of the 330 but thought this one sounded gorgeous. These two guys get such wonderful tones.
Lovely Guitars, I'll take the 330 thanks a lot. Love the new videos! By the way I thought the Mickey Mouse ears were still present during early '63. As a mater of fact, me and my friend have Epiphone Professionals, mine is from '62, his is from '63, and I also have a '61 ES330 - they all have the MM ears. I also always thought the Claptons ES335 was a '64, not a '63, but I can be wrong.
Was in a store looking at an amp a few years ago. Salesman knows me, says he has a guitar I should try. Brings a 330 in. I play for 40 minutes. Best guitar I’ve ever played. Finally look at the price tag: $6500 of our dollars. I still have very mixed emotions about walking away that day.
Magnificently! Love the sound of that 335! I would invest in one if I could just get comfortable with its lower bout size especially sitting on a couch. How does the Collings SoCo that Mick plays in other clips compare? More like a 339?
330 has more bite and is clearer than the 335. But 335 is more versatile overall. 330 in the studio cause it's wonderfully dynamic and 335 in a live situation cause it's easier to control and has more midrange to cut through, in my opinion. Really Nice review, well done
I find it a little humorous that Mick attributes the midrange difference to the construction more than the difference in pickups. I’m not saying construction makes no difference, but that magnet that generates the electrical current has to make the biggest difference
I love how they gaze into each other's eyes whilst playing.
+Bob K True bromance
Can you play a Gibson B. B. King Lucille guitar?
I've been asking them that for AGES!
That 330! Really outstanding.
IMHO that's how a guitar review should be done. Thank you gentlemen.
+Ali Boyacıoğlu Thanks Ali :)
I really, really love these videos with Mick and Peter. I really enjoy the friendly banter and amazing playing on equally amazing guitars! Andertons really know how to make great review videos! Best on the interwebs!
I could listen to these guys play all day. Absolutely brilliant
You guys have an incredible dynamic when you play together. Really awesome. I would love to hear an entire record of Anderton's dudes jamming like this with a full band.
Love the 330, Grant Green used to play one.
You two guys are perhaps the best duo to do guitar videos on UA-cam. Also, those shirts.
I have a 1960 ES 330. My wife got it for me as a birthday present.
It plays beautifully.
It should be worth as much or more than the 335.
It is to me!
Startend 50 years ago with a 330,after 40 guitars now playing a 335 clean on fender deluxe.heaven!!!
Everyone needs to stay to the end and watch the last jam unfold. It is truly magnificent.
I'd pay to sit in a bar and listen to you guys play all night
+shfnderrock +Mick Taylor, shall we arrange that ? Lets :)
Absolutely :))
+Peter Honoré We feel an in store event coming on :)
Yeah cool! I better learn some new licks. (Fat chance)
+Mick Taylor Na, we love you, you are amazeballs :)... You in? We will ask Peter....
Both phenomenal sounding! Sometimes I tune in just to hear Mick & Pete's tasty playing, loved the jam at the end!
the jam at the end sounds lovely

Nice history :) I want one too. Have a 335, 345 and 355 but with p90's should be a new sound.
These are a great series of demos. Literally the best on the web.
this and 'That pedal show' are my favourites
I love that 335 midrange. Got to have one someday.
If I was a woman I would ask Mick & Pete to marry me ;)
+CaptAnderton unfortunately you'd have to choose only one of them :(
+matebary I would become a bigamist
+CaptAnderton Oh god, I bet Andertons slash fiction is out there somewhere in the dark wilds of the internet...
+CaptAnderton I'll have the 335 instead of an engagement ring if that's cool?
+CaptAnderton polyandrist ... when it's a woman. ... bigamist/polygamist is for man :-D
The outro jam was simply magical, thank you
When Pete knocked on the guitar body at 4:07 my dog freaked out and thought someone was at the door. I rewound the video 4 times. So funny.
🍻😂😂😂😂😂
Classic !
After Covid, please bring back Guitar Paradiso with Mick and Pete. One of the best series on your channel.
PS; with Hawaiian shirts!
Nice review guys. The ES-330 is a really special guitar. It is on my long term wish list ever since getting into Grant Green who, to me, ios the quintessential 330 player. The guitars are so good sounding.
awesome. fantastic players. i'm impressed how good guitars in the right hands can sound. for some reason i dig that 330. need to watch it again.
Danish Pete is a Shit hot blues player, genuinely speechless from that first jam,
+William Stanway last jam was even better!
He really gives it a proper rip in the Milkman Amps demo.
Your chops are second to none. You have figured out a thing called style. Thanks😎
That 335 top looks very similar to the top of a old Epiphone i played in Italy.. Nice looking top.
I like the sweet crunchy sounds these guitars make
loving that 330 ...
Two thoroughly good players, not too much chat, good vids - keep them coming...

+Jeff Stephens Thanks Jeff. To be honest, I don't know either hahaha. But one this is for sure, I will be needed a drink over christmas :)
+Peter Honoré Right side of the brain ,the unconscious, the decoding of the body's subtle energies (chakras,e-motion=energy in motion).
:D
The Es330 is a great sounding guitar.
The ES330 is one of Gibson's under-ratted guitars. They also did a single pickup version. Great Guitars.
he means a version with only one p90
Modestoney ok sorry. Correct!
no problem, dude
Many thanks for posting this, seems like it's the only side-by-side comparison of the two guitars on UA-cam
vikingfortiesfaeroes ua-cam.com/video/yBbPv1j0MGQ/v-deo.html
The '61 is my favourite guitar in the shop at the moment... I play it probably two - three times a week! Great video.
It’s great to hear you guys jamming together with both guitars! We get a better sense of the the tonal difference between them.
Sublime playing at the end there guys...lovely.
I liked the 330 both clean and driven, superb :)
Both of your playing is captivating. Superb review
Sweet playing and beautiful guitars. Always had a soft for this type of guitar.
I'm in love!... with that 330
Gary Clark Jr would disagree with EVERYTHING you said about the 330. The P90s have a real vocal quality to the midrange. Also they are highly responsive to the right hand.
Mick and Pete killing it! Great video! I love the educational bits!
both great players and communicators, well done and keep up the goodwork
Excellent review by two guys that can really play!
I own a 2014 ES-330 & I can't stop playing it plugged in or un plugged I AN IN LOVE with that guitar I call her Alex (after a famous NYC chef) #Butter
Since I got one, the 330 became my "around the house" guitar. Unplugged it is very sweet sounding too. It vibrates a lot.
Another great video gentlemen! Really shows off the features and sounds of these guitars. Also: Pete is a ridiculously good guitarist.
The jam that starts at 21:14 is just amazing!
Pete makes every guitar sound like the best guitar in the world
+PeterHonore just have to applaud you sir. Simply amazing.
If possible, I'd like to see this revisited with the new LE1 ES330, it's a limited run 330 with dual burstbuckers and modern Grover tuners.
Could listen to these guys all day.
Not only are they monster players, they know their guitars. Electric or acoustic.
Mucho respecto. Or something like that.
This one with p90s is gorgeous 😮
11:48 vs 10:07
That 330 is such a tasty guitar. Great video!

Guess I need a JRAD Dude now...
+Christoph Bach Everyone needs one of those.. :)
+Christoph Bach Same haha

Love love love it guys :-) and the little jam at the end......sweet!
Best video review series, thanks a lot! keep up the amazing work!
oooohh, I already got the HRD and the Archer, all I need is a 330 :-)
Damn Mick's tone at the beginning was incredible. Very Larry Carlton.
You guys always have such fun!!!!
Woow both you guys are fantastic players
Loving these videos guys! 2016 might be the year I get my semi holllow!
Lovely Guitars, I'll take the 330 thanks a lot. Love the new videos!

That 330 is a killer!
Guitare tones :
p90 = 6.04min - 11.39 - 16.42 - 16.53
Humbucker = 8.19min - 8.52 - 9.37 - 10.16 - 12.44 - 17.20 - 17.31
6:04 11:39 16:42 16:53

This is my favourite thing Andertons do.
Really nice, guys. Congrats!
Hi guys really really enjoy your demos here!
By the way you just sold me the dude
I'm sure I'll enjoy that one
Cheers
Thank you Besnard. You will love it, it is a great pedal. Thank you for watching.
Tasty playing
ya baby The reason I bought a 339 right there what tones and those guys have the fingers
damn dude that 330
Magnificently! Love the sound of that 335! I would invest in one if I could just get comfortable with its lower bout size especially sitting on a couch. How does the Collings SoCo that Mick plays in other clips compare? More like a 339?
The es330 sounds so filthy. Love it
The last Jam was the bees

wow, epic video and demo... just so good.
I've reached a point in my life where I cannot live without my daily fix from Anderton's
christ, you 2 should make an album together!
330 sounds so much nicer to me but I prefer the look of the 335. 🤔
Now, this is the tasty side of Andertons! Playing that's appropriate for the equipment, knowing glances...haha. Great demo!
Very nice phrasing at 5:50
Is there a sound or tonal difference between the es-339 studio and a nicer one with binding. Pickups, electronics? Just lookings. Cheers..
I've always known Danish guitarists are the best.
Is there a Gibson centre block 335 type guitar with P90s ? I can`t think of one .... but the combination should be very usable.
John Buxton Luther Dickinson es 335 model?
John Buxton yes, there is a 2020 model p90 335
Hi is the 1961 still available?
Great vid lads 👍 Dot inlays spoil the look of the guitar slightly but great great tones... Nice one
Bridge 10:07 Vs 11:48
Neck 10:17 Vs 11:39
335 9:59 10:16
10:06
330 11:48 11:39
so good
Danish Pete could play a saw horse with strings and make it sound great!
Es330 - very, very "cleanish" and skinny
Es335 - *_T H I C C_*
Did Mick get to keep the 335? 🤔
Great duo!!
+ebbulk Oh wow, now see i'm the 10101'st viewer haha
I find it a little humorous that Mick attributes the midrange difference to the construction more than the difference in pickups. I’m not saying construction makes no difference, but that magnet that generates the electrical current has to make the biggest difference
That 330💙
sometimes i make bad decisions and sometimes i make good ones, the day i decided to go with a 330 was one of my better decisions!
