Thanks guys. I'm about to rebuild my 150 Sprint veloce engine and all the tips and tricks you have shown are a massive help. I feel reasonably confident I can get a good result....so confident in fact, that I am thinking of cooking some sausages on the burner, simultaneously, whilst heating up the crank cases. That has to be a greener use of the gas heat energy, right? You rock my world!
hello, do you have a clearance issue with the brass bushing of crankshaft bearings? In mine (150 Super), the clutch side brass bushing feels too tight, than the flywheel side. So it is very hard to install the crankshaft bearing into the crankcase even though I heated the crank
I love your videos. There are many videos about certain aspects of engine rebuilds but none quite as concise as yours. Thank you so much for sharing! Greetings from Germany.
thanks,....especially for remembering to mention the washer right at the end, i just rebuilt my motor but my clutch wont disengage,...and i know its because of that dam spacer.(i did find that spacer on the floor after i assembled the motor but didn't think much of it because i replaced everything, but i can tell you now there's nothing between the clutch and seal) i was concerned i forgot a step inside the motor, thankfully that's not a hard problem to fix. i wouldn't want to take apart the motor again. the motor runs great though. thanks again
Guys really great video! You helped me alot with my restoration so far. But I'm having a Problem, I have the same motor like you with 2 big bearings, i cant get the halfes togheter until 1mm, Im heating alot and it still doesn't work. Are the bearings biting or could it be something different? Greetings from Switzerland!
I love your video for old Vespa. I,m from Indonesia. I have Vespa super 150. My problem is the noise engine came on when clutch has pulled/grasped. When clutch released, engine sound back to normal. Clutch had been replaced with ori part but problem still exists. Any advise for my problem. Thanks...
Thanks this video showed me everything I need to know (I think) to finally re-assemble my VBB engine, and use the parts I got from you a couple YEARS ago. I've done flathead V8, Mazda Rotary, MG's, but not having the "special tool" that you show can be replaced with electrical tape, has me ready to roll up my sleeves. May I ask how "Robot" got his name? I see in another vid he has a back brace. Peace and thanks, from this Cornfield imprisoned Vespa tinkerer.
My lml vespa engine will stall when I engage gear number one but when I remove the sideboard covering the engine it keeps on running.what could be the problem?
Help me please!! 😭👍👍
hice todo tal cual como ustedes y la moto prende pero no se mantiene encendida, y la unica forma que se mantenga encendida es con el aceleredor a fondo. que puede ser? o que puedo hacer?
What if the crankshaft doesn't spin freely? When I close my engine case the crank will not spin. I have tried floating the crank as suggested. It is a brand new Mazzucchelli crankshaft from scooterwest.com. Could it be out of true right from the factory? My scoot is a 1968 Sprint Thanks
@@VespaMotorsport do you have the video about replacing the brass bushing? mine is too loose, so the bearing can be installed easily with fingers without heat needed
Good work, but why dont you freeze the bearings and heat up the engine , the bearings would fit without a hammer . I like your videos 👍👍👍 Greetings from germany 😁
Worst method to install the main bearings, mine did not seat properly even though I froze the crankshaft and bearings assembly and heated the cases. It only takes a third of force to press the bearing on the shaft compared to the casings so do that last.
