Thank you so much for my video! Instead of spending tons of money at a shop, I was able to safely replace the clock spring myself on my 2016 Elantra for just the cost of parts.
I freaking did it Thx to this video. None of the buttons worked and the air bag light came on. This video helped me so much. Everything works great now.. Thx a lot..
Hi there, is there a way to know if is the clock spring? code reader? I have an airbag light on, the dealer will only cover if it is the clock spring since there is a recall
Yes, read the code if it's steering air bag stage 1 or stage 2 ( for USA market)that mean it's a clock spring, for non USA market it will be only one stage, make sure the horn is working if not that mean it's a clock spring
Question: After installing/replacing the airbag in 2015 Hyundai Sonata does the code reset for airbag control module be done through ODB2 or does the airbag Control unit needs to be taken out?
You can get it online very cheap around $20 , don’t buy this part used because it can be bad part as the ribbon cable get damaged more often, let me know if you need any help, it should be a quick fix
This is numbers on the box of the part, 93490 3S010. It is original part from Hyundai, but be careful maybe your car has diferent one. My 2013 Elantra only have board computer buttons on steering wheel.
IF YOU MESS UP ON THE CENTER OR IF YOU NOT SURE,,,WELL THE NEW ONES COME WITH A LOCK PIN TO KEEP IT CENTER,,DO NOT REMOVE IT UNTIL YOU INSTALL IT,,,BUT LET SAY YOU ARE NOT SURE,,WELL TURN IT ONE WAY TILL IT STOPS,,GO BACK AND COUNT HOW MANY TIMES IT WENT AROUND TO THE OTHER SIDE,,,THAN JUST DIVIDE SHOULD BE HALF OF THE TRUNS,,NORMAL ITS 4 ONE SIDE 4 THE OTHER,,,,

This video fixed my "horn not working, steering wheel controls not working" now all that works but somehow the airbag light is still on 😂
yeah only my right side of my steering wheel doesn’t work rlly weird figured it was clock spring hopefully no lights show up
Don't forget disconnect the battery first, before clock spring replacing!
How come?
@@Isabella-wo9bgair bag could go off
That’s why if you follow what he’s doing he’s deflating the airbags you don’t even have to disconnect the battery if you do it the way he’s showing.
I'm disappointed as it took me 12 minutes with a short bathroom break. :) Great video.
Thanks for taking the time to show how to do it step-by-step 👍
Thank you for your help! I don't like taking cars to mechanics. I always try try do it myself. Glad it wasn't too difficult!
Let me know if you need any help
