I don't comment on videos often but my god, these noodles were delicious. I made this for a dinner party and used pork belly and baby bok choy and everyone begged me for the recipe. I happily introduced them to one of the best cooking channels on the platform.
I’ve watched a few episodes of your show now and while I haven’t tried any of your recipes yet, I definitely will because they look delicious. Right now though, I’d like to comment on your show in general and tell you what keeps bringing me back. It’s stylish, it has a structured format, it’s filmed very well, the angles are beautiful, you make cooking look fun and the food looks delicious. That aside, YOU are infectious. You’re have a like-ability about you, a muted confidence, and a smile that makes me smile. Keep doing what you’re doing. Your channel is a rare gem.
I tried 2 of her recipes randomly & everything was fire 🔥. There are a lot of recipes on the internet that are mediocre, but the recipes from this channel are 100/100.
I made it tonight. It’s SO good. Delicious, easy to make, and quick. If you prep everything first, the cook time is about 7 minutes!! Great for a busy mom like me who loves quick easy recipes that don’t compromise on taste.
Well Marion, you've done it again, I'm blown away! I made this recipe last night for my husband and I, omg! I had some fresh rice noodle rolls so I used those instead of udon, great chewy texture and of course the flavors from the sauce, oh-so-amazing! Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration, you're the best!
Shanghai noodles were my favourite dish in my favourite Chinese restaurant in Toronto in the 1990s. I've moved away, so my periodic trips back to Toronto require a visit to King Noodles on Spadina. I went there in January of this year, though, and was disappointed to find out that they're making their dish with udon - is just isn't the same. I managed to find some fresh Shanghai noodles in a local supermarket (wow!!), though, so tonight I'll be making them myself following your recipe, can't wait...
Those noodles made me fall in love, you are the first person channel I have ever subscribed to. I will also be trying this really soon and let you know 😊
I brought fresh udon from the market and froze it for later but later skipped the step of putting it in boiling water and yes it wasn’t as moist so they next time I made sure I followed all the steps and yes nailed it . In the sauce I did add about 1 tbsp of chilli sauce for a little punch . These were super good got a thumbs up from my son and hubby. Just watching you cook gives one a high and stirs ones tastebuds. Thanks Marion
Great-looking (and super easy) recipe, explained well. Thank you, Marion! I can't speak for all of your fans, of course, but I think this is a great example of the sort of dinner recipe many of us would make again and again: 1) Just a handful of easy-to-find ingredients; 2) Simple, fast and non-fussy preparation; 3) A finished dish that is beautiful to look at, tasty enough to serve to friends, with a good balance of protein, veggies and carbs (I personally go heavier on the veggies and lighter on the noodles or other carbs). More of this sort of Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese recipes, please and thank you! 👏👏👏
I just made this recipe for the first time today, and OMG what flavors! It is deceptively simply to look at, but what a mouthful of joy with every bite! Thank you for this recipe. I just added 2 thai chiles that I bruised with the knife before thinly slicing them and added with the garlic. Delicious!
I made this last night. First time cooking Chinese at home. I usually go to restaurants to eat things like this. I substituted the pork for beef and it was heavenly!! 🤤 me, my 11 year old brother and my dad loved this dish 🤤🤤
Greetings from Washington DC. I have to admit your videos have provided great comfort over this terrrible 2020 year. My dearly departed mum was from Bangkok. Just she was probably the worst cook in the world. Im glad your setting the world right. Impressed by your production level. Lights sound photography are on point.
Oh Marion! My queen! 😊 I just made your recipe and it came out as the be stir fry I have ever made! Great tips! Tender meat and flavorful noodles! I really love the form of your videos and their quality. Best regards from Poland 👍
Thanks! I had some Chinese lo mien egg noodles and wanted to do something different with them. I do so many peanut sauces or szechuan peppercorn recipes including several of your recipes. This hit the spot! AGAIN!
Hi Marion, I've been a long- time fan since your Masterchef days. You've come such a long way. Love you so much and your Asian food channel. Also, the camera- work is unreal. I'm crying. It's SO good. You have a phenomenal team. Much love from Australia, xxx
This was so lovely despite my being a totally unprepared busy mom cook and subbing quite a bit. It allowed me to satisfy and impress my entire family but more specifically two sons who didn’t care for the curry (oh, so good!) I made the other night. I was limited to what I had on hand and in the garden. So, I used fresh snow peas, kale, broccoli leaves, onion tops ...and carrots and cabbage from the fridge. I also didn’t have oyster sauce so I (googled) used miso paste instead. I’d really like to find some dark soy as I’ve never cooked with it. Should I also admit I had to use spaghetti and chicken as well (cringe)? As soon as I can source the ingredients, I’ll try again properly. Thanks so much for my dinner win. -J
Mmm looks beautiful and delicious!🤤🤤🤤 Marion you and your mom makes good food and even if you didn't get to win in masterchef everyone who watches your videos see compassion and potential in you keep this up and have a good day ma'am!!❤
I really enjoy your videos and have cooked some of your recipes. I landed on this video while searching for "Marion's Kitchen lo mein", but no luck. I'm searching for an authentic restaurant quality lo mein recipe with that smoky or slightly burnt taste that I'm unable to recreate at home. I hope you'll make a video about lo mein soon. Thanks!
Marion your so great! Your recipes come in clutch for new dinners in my home ! One question though, I see in a lot of recipes you use “dark soy sauce “ is there anything else I can substitute that for?
forgot to add- it’s a little bit deeper/richer but shouldn’t make too much of a difference if you use the regular stuff. if you can find it it’s great but if you can’t light soy sauce is fine in a pinch
Your videos are life-changing! I am eating better with tastier food! I even just play your videos as white noise because of your calming voice :) For me though, adding the background music is unnecessary as I also enjoy the sound of Asian cooking. Thanks for all your recipes!

Greetings from me, an Indonesian worker. Thank you for sharing the recipe. I always try it and my boss's family loves it, so delicious..

I am from Houston Texas and found your coconut sriracha at Walmart. Got one and went back the next day to get another! Because it is so good!
This looked like a version of a filipino dish called Pancit Canton. I definitely give this a try. ❤️😊

I love how Australian accents sound to North Americans. Like how the word "home" sounds like "hoyme" :)

Love your recipes!
Marion your so great! Your recipes come in clutch for new dinners in my home ! One question though, I see in a lot of recipes you use “dark soy sauce “ is there anything else I can substitute that for?
you can use the same amount in regular soy sauce. dark soy sauce isn’t much different aside from the dark color!
forgot to add- it’s a little bit deeper/richer but shouldn’t make too much of a difference if you use the regular stuff. if you can find it it’s great but if you can’t light soy sauce is fine in a pinch
