The Maharaja Express train is a good example of how you can organize a tourist vacation in India. All guests of this wonderful hotel on wheels are surrounded by the attentive attention of the staff. In terms of their decoration, guest compartments are not inferior to the palaces of maharajas or five-star hotels. The train, designed with the latest technology, is India's most luxurious express train. It was launched in January 2010. The Maharajah Express consists of 24 guest carriages, which can accommodate 88 guests. Equipped with an advanced pneumatic and hydraulic suspension system, the train travels especially smoothly. The nobility of the interior is emphasized in every detail. The interior decoration is dominated by expensive wood. All compartments are equipped with an individual climate control system. In addition, the compartment has LCD screens, direct Internet access and telephony, a spacious wardrobe, and an electronic safe. For the convenience of guests, the compartment has a good-quality bathroom with a shower or a full bathroom. In a special luggage compartment of the train, an acceptable temperature is also maintained so that the things carried by passengers do not suffer from the heat. Panoramic windows installed in each compartment allow you to enjoy a magnificent view of the most beautiful landscapes of India. Each carriage of the train has a personal butler who makes sure that the lives of passengers are not overshadowed by everyday problems. In case of emergency, there are qualified experienced doctors on the train. A video surveillance system is installed in public areas for greater security. The cost of renting rooms on average is approximately equal to the cost of rooms in a five-star hotel. A day of travel in the simplest compartment will cost about $ 800, and in the most expensive, presidential suite, $ 2,500. Within a few days, this amazing train will carry passengers throughout the country, stopping at the most interesting and famous places. On the way to the next city, you can enjoy a visit to one of two restaurants, each of which can simultaneously accommodate 42 people. Unique dishes of European and Indian cuisine, soft drinks and the best wines await the guests of the restaurant. You can go to the bar or just play board games in a cozy atmosphere. In total, the train follows 5 routes. For example, while traveling to the city of Jaipur, you can see the beautiful Palace of the Winds. And in the city of Agra, you can enjoy the snow-white Taj Mahal, which, like a fairy tale, appears in the rays of the rising sun.

Its really an achievement to hear that this is the world's number one luxurious train. If the government keeps all the trains clean then it would be good by not just saying we have one train that is luxurious, foreign visitors should say all the trains in India is clean.
Very true. I hear that public Trains in India are utmost filthy and smelly and are never washed,just like most of the passengers. That's what my friend who lived in Bangalore for fifteen years once told me.

Cant you just shut up and enjoy the video. For this luxury you have to pay a premium...you dont always go and dine in a 5star restaurant everyday do you? With a population of 1.5 billion people its very easy to blame the govt for everything.

Sure, I also enjoy a number of wonderful Indian dishes in many western countries where hygiene is taken seriously, recognizing of course that the cuisine differs in different regions. But I'm not so sure about on a train in India. Why? On several business trips I've stayed in a number of 5 star hotels across many Indian cities and I got serious food poisoning in every hotel. In 2 hotels the in-house arrogant doctor unlocked my door and walked in and immediately proceeded to give me a lecture about my personal hygiene. Since then I've done 3 quick trips (planned to be over quickly) and took my own water, cup, bowl, spoon, fork, can opener and canned food, enought for every meal. And I made excuses to not attend business dinners.

Inside of the coaches is awesome but engine looks very odd i.e. the engine is so dirty and so oily does not match with the reck. Should be very careful about this matter.

Tea 5 rs ka bhi bikta hai aur 500 rs ka bhi....kaunsa tea lena hai ye apni apni choice hai. Same thing goes to this. Jo afford kr pata hai vo travel krta hai, jo nhi kr pata vo video dekh k tarif krta hai.

It could be made a lot better with simple changes at same price. Nightclub, single big window, glass roof with changing shades, delicacy of different state, announcement for prominent places, special station with hotel rooms, live music in bar, etc etc. Number of coaches should be increased and price should be lowered. Such Trains should be used for creating brand image of India, not petty money
