    Proud to see such combination of luxury and Engineering marvel as an Indian...but at the same time it is so painful when you imagine the fact that during the time the train passes through a village, there are two worlds...one inside train where people are enjoying lavish time and on the other side(outside the train) people in village struggle to feed themselves and their children

    Definitely a journey for the bucket list. Normal 1st ac travel will miss out the experience even if we travel with relatives. That's called hospitality. Golden chariot gives it to the affordable. Not sure if railways can come up with some exciting trains for middle class based on slots.

      pom dutta You can find examples anywhere in the world. Each country have excellent engineers. You can go back 4000 yrs to Egypt, Iraq, Rome, Greece, TurkeyJapan, China ( the Great Wall)and so on. For the modern world go to New York, Belgium, London, Paris.Moscow etc. Maybe you should travel a little Go to Spain and see the Alhambra. Go to Mali and see the forts in Timbuktu. The castles in Western Europe and Eastern Europe for that matter. Don’t be so insular.

    this is vey nice. but to see India by train take a 1st class AC cabin or berth or 2nd class AC. amazing. you sit with the TC have a chat open the door and stand by the door as the world goes by.
