I was about 6 and a half years old when this movie was released. Great movie, and great song. The critics generally did not like it, but it was a minor box office hit (which is what matters).
i watch it,goosebumps.i rewind,i watch it,still goosebumps.John Goodman is the only actor known for acting only,to melt my soul with song.thank you John
He also sang a great version of "Sweet Home Chicago" in Roseanne. Other songs he sang are "People Like Us" and "If I didn't have you" (Monsters Inc)... Love this mans voice! I highly advise you to youtube those songs if you enjoy him as much as I do
I'm pretty certain that's John Goodman singing. The only other movie I know of where he sings is "We're Back," where he plays a jolly tyrannosaurus rex. The song was called "Roll Back the Rock," and I think you can find it on UA-cam.
I love the song but Gene Chandler's version is the one and only version I am used to. No offense to John Goodman, but I'm very picky about renditions and arrangements.
I don't suppose a remake of this movie could work? Maybe an American commoner unexpectedly becomes Queen this time? Thing is though in real life I bet there's an official list of at least a thousand in the line of succession and I'm pretty darn sure there's not an American or anyone even remotely resembling a commoner anywhere on it.
Pity it's so short. Wish they had done a full version. He's good.
Ginea25 He sings pretty good in Blues Brothers 2000 with Dan Aykroyd.
There is no way that’s him singing
I love John Goodman
He really is A Good man
Mr Goodman❤
I wish John Goodman actually recorded the whole song, i liked his version, very happy :)
I love this version, shame it doesn't last long.

The movie is as average as it gets. This really is the best part.
John Goodman was Duke Earle in The Wrong Guys; another classic!
nice nod to this song and this film.
John Goodman should've got a Grammy for this.

ChalkiePerfect he sings in blues brothers two
He sang a little bit in Monsters Inc if I’m not mistaken. He voices Sulley.

Wow. I cant enough realize his singing voice.
My gosh what John Goodman kicks ass.Why does he have this fucking voice when his not using it?? Sing, baby, sing!
It switches to the original version for the high parts
Wonder could the Duke of Edinburgh sing this.
Amazing.

Alot of people dislikes this song. I def disagree! I love it :)
Those are the same people that like bieber and his autotuned shit. This is a great cover of a great song.
I love the song but Gene Chandler's version is the one and only version I am used to. No offense to John Goodman, but I'm very picky about renditions and arrangements.

Supposedly a while back Martin Lawrence was in line for a remake. But instead of England he finds out he's the new king in a county in Africa.
Personally, I like it better than Gene Chandler's original.
Same here.
Good golly miss Molly wasnt so good but he knocked this one out f the park. It really doesn't sound like him
Twashem duke de Warren 🤣
Troisieme!
There is no way in hell that’s him singing
IMDb trivia said he did all his singing
@@missyadams that’s interesting. Definitely doesn’t sound like him
@@MartyMcFly88 I watched King Ralph just once so I forgot how well Goodman can sing, until he sang a song from Monsters Inc. at the Oscars.
What’s wrong with this? Nothing your Dukeship
Auto-tune im afraid. But still a great version
Actually the movie came out in 1991, autotune 1997
No auto tune. That's all John and his pipes.
100% John there brother.. he sings in Roseanne and Blues Brothers lol
Autotune hadn't even been invented back then, fool. This is 100% pure Goodman.
People didn’t use auto tune bullshit when this was made. Auto tune is for todays shitty “artists” who can’t sing.
Do you trust me my little princessita. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
