Queen, and Freddie Mercury took the world by storm. No matter wherever they went on tour, in the UK, or abroad, they had audiences, in the palm of the hands. Queen delivered show stopping performances, with the late, great Freddie Mercury's million dollar voice. Although, Freddie Mercury is no longer with us, and John Deacon has since retired, Brian May, and Roger Taylor are still performing as Queen today, in 2018, Queen's legacy will live on, forever. RIP Freddie, Mr and Mrs Bulsara, and Freddie's partner, Jim Hutton. 😥❤
Michael Asquith Oh yes! I was a poor girl from a poor family (born in 1948) and being from that family meant that the only noise that I ever heard that was called music was that of a small town evangelical church choir. It’s no wonder that I developed my interest in music only after I escaped the family in which I was abused (of which I seldom speak). Then came jazz, blues, Elvis, women’s music and at last British Rock-from the Beatles to Bowie & Queen & many more. Yes it’s a tale of deprivation but my rebellious spirit saved me.I am ever so grateful!

This picture of the Queen chopper with the Knebworth Park crowd in the background...well you know the old saying a picture speaks a thousand words. And it was the best because it was the 80's. Back when everyone got along. Going to a concert back in the 1980's was a rite of passage. There was no RACISM. There was no cellular phones. I get chills down my spine Everytime I hear Freddie Mercury sing.
@@talltree3941 It wasn't something commonly seen at concerts. It wasn't as if people were denied entry based on their ethnicity, or told they had sit in the back if they were "persons of color." There weren't separate water fountains. And there was no confusion about which bathroom to use!

I was working on the show for two days, and then managed to get the best seat in the house on the FOH tower for the whole gig.
Great stuff.
You lucky bugger
You lucky liar.
On the Fuck Outta Here Tower??
@@nebojsa1976 You moron.
Yup, I was there too. Phenomenal experience. Didn't realise at the time it'd be his last live gig, of course...
Chris P he performed in 1988 aswell
The man, the band, the legends...never again in my lifetime.
What a GREAT band , in my opinion the most creative ; unpredictable and so original 😍🤟🏻🤩
I saw them in 82.
They were a hybrid to say the least.
No governor on the engine
They played - music, not specified to one category.
Just a really great band..
They were also the TIGHTEST group of rockstars I've ever known... not a drop of ego among them.
Sadly, the last time they would ever play together live. And equally sad there is no high quality footage of this last show.
QUEEN FOREVER AND EVER. Freddie is a Legend and Legends NEVER die
Only Queen can do that. Fastest sold out tickets. They’re legends. 😍
At the time, but now michael jackson holds the record.!
Brian My wrote the Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo
@@RoverWaters Indeed he did, said something was needed...
i saw them at live aid and knebworth, wonderful so lucky
Live aid ........dude dammmnnn
Me and the wife at Knebworth compliments of Harrier Films who were filming “Full Metal Jacket” at Bassingbourn for which I was the Liaison Officer.. My Mrs was lucky enough to see them in Hanover in 1984 for “The Works” tour when we lived in Germany. At Knebworth we didn’t bother to go in to see Quo or a Big Country. What a fantastic memory for us. Freddy and Queen were magnificent. RIP Freddy. You will always be in my heart.
The last concert- 33 years ago today! Still one of the best ever!!
Miss you , Freddie!
Thank you for your words. He will never be " one of.." He is not the best. He is UNIQUE. No one compares..
oh I envy these people who had seen Freddie in life! I'm just 24 but I love the Queen band especially Freddie!
i was there as seven year old boy mum dad took me there
How old r u now?
Damn
Alex Dee fuck off
With the maths they are 82
Edit: I am disappointed in myself. They're 67
Edit: Still disappointed. They're 42
@@i-me-myseLf_ hello internet troll how are you
something about the 80's that i'm glad i was there
You and me both! Feels like it was another world now. Would give anything to go back
An incredible showman.
I was there 50 yards from the stage.
Best gig i've ever been to in my whole life and i've been to loads 54 yrs old now
Me too, and about the same distance away, but I'm only 53 now :)
..and nobody filmed the concert, travesty
Это такая тяжелая работа...Freddie,но ты ни разу не жаловался - все хотели шоу.. и ты это делал...дарил свой собственный мир,чтобы каждый мог задуматься и подумать о своем...ты БЕСКОНЕЧЕН...поэтому Show MUST!!! Go On...!!! ❤🙏🇷🇺
Me, born in 2003: Wow I miss the 80's...
pretty much
Same😭😂
Same lol
Same 👌

I still miss him
Damn it Freddie. It’s been so long. Miss you 😘

MsHillbillychick me too! 84’ baby 🤗
‘96 baby 😅
Very nice atmosphere and thanks for uploading this video. Happy to see the legends 🤝
He was an amazing star .god rest his soul
My heart skips a beat ANYTIME I see Freddie Mercury/QUEEN in all their glory!!!! What I wouldn't give to have seen them live!!!! And if im being honest it makes me incredibly sad to have missed out on something so wonderful! 😭😭 I think I was only about 5/6 when Freddie left us to start singing for the heavens instead. One day Freddie Mercury! ONE DAY!!!
I went to this gig. I've also seen Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and the Stones. One benefit of being old.
Lucky!!! Which band gave the best performance?
I've always loved the picture of the helicopter over this crowd in the 1992 Classic Queen CD booklet.
i had the luck to see Queen with paul rodgers live on my island aruba 🇦🇼 back in october 2005.
one of the best nights of my life!!!!
Remember sitting outside the gates drinking our beer while Belouis Some were on. It was a red hot day and there was no way we were leaving the beer. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. Nobody knew at the time it would be the last live show ever for Queen with Freddie at the helm. Fantastic memories.
One of the music businesses greatest tragedies to loose such a talented man like Freddie
This is unreal and totally fascinating ...as usual , QUEEN..The pursuit of exellence begins and ends with them..regardless of musical choice.
Slane Castle 5th July 1986. I was there. When Freddie first came on stage I swear the earth tilted. Changed my life. What a band, what a performer
Oh amazing! You're so lucky! Did you happen to tape the show?
What a day, five people in a mini metro we never got out the car park until 6am the next morning and no body on bloody mobiles, time machine please, RIP Fred
Steve Salt often say the same mate, love to relive that day again
remember the end of the show? no fireworks, and it was dark, dark..only a few street lights, and everbody singing , 'you never walk alone and still remember the ambulance passing......and the trowing bottles....
I think the bottles were heading for Belouis Some poor guy why was he supporting Queen? no Health and Safety the car park was bottle necked until the next morning, but I would still go back....
O dear .. I guessed everryone in this video commented the same. Stuck for hours till the next morning.
However, I bet it was worth every second of your lifetime.
You think if mobile phone was around at that time nobody wouldn't be taking pics?stfu
How can anyone give a thumbs down on any video about Freddie? Poor excuse for human beings!!
omg when he waits roger, love them so much
This picture of the Queen chopper with the Knebworth Park crowd in the background...well you know the old saying a picture speaks a thousand words.
This is exactly one of those pictures, the sheer number of Queen fans waiting to be entertained by Freddie & the rest of the group. Just mind-blowing the vastness of the crowd and the helicopter just helps to give you an idea of how many people must be there. Absolutely unbelievable.
My dad went to this concert! lucky! someone was stabbed in the car park to six hours to get out of said car park. He said doing radio ga ga with all those people was just incredible!
Freddie mercury was a Cole Porter he loved women but he was gay and that doesn't make him bad he was an excellent wonderful performer and I miss him terribly
I watched his Live Aid performance last night and Radio Gaga was magnificent
emma wolton it was actually inside the concert I was six rows back from it and your dad was right it was amazing :)
What a showman, just incredible
I was there - so lucky to be backstage too - and too meet Freddie and all the guys too - was a surreal evening
How?
@@henryj8363 my friend Steve won a smash hits competition... And took me as his guest
@@lamornababe awesome did you meet the band before and after? Did you watch the show from the stage? I hope you have pics. :D
@@henryj8363 I met the band after - watched from the VIP area - an amazing show - backstage was amazing - met Lemmy and Animal from Motorhead - Some of Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet were there - I remember John Deacon doing some awful dad dancing at the bar ... and a certain drummer of a v famous act trying to chat my mate Steve up - sadly I never took any pics at the time as I was 16 and thought I was too cool for school - Smash Hits did print one pic that i have but I dont think its possible to add them on here
@@lamornababe how did John Deacon seem after the show? After playing Radio Gaga he angrily hurled his bass into the amps and ran off stage.
I was front row , Freddie was electric , his sweat was nearly hitting our faces , something I’ll never forget .
How many are u actually now ?
Queen sold out everytime and everywhere they played.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I was there too so lucky I went as it was my first time and their last time together live. Will never forget that summer and was also lucky enough to be on the Friends Will be Friends Video shoot a couple of months earlier under part of that lighting rig.
I was an average Queen fan, I liked all their hits like everyone else... we cranked "We Will Rock You" before H.S. football games! However, after seeing the movie... I would love to rewind time to see them live! Goes to show quality PR sells. A good story always sells!
My husband was lucky enough to be there he said it was amazing he had to climb a tree and stayed there along time before he could get out of the car park
Fantastic day, we had to dump the car on side of the A1, traffic was at a standstill for 4 hours we sat there stationary, nah, dumped the car and walked, weren't gonna miss the gig. great night 🙌
Reading all of these brilliant posts about everyone who got to see this concert, and watching Queen live elsewhere. I just want to say one thing,
You're all a bunch of lucky lucky Bastards
And it was the best because it was the 80's. Back when everyone got along. Going to a concert back in the 1980's was a rite of passage. There was no RACISM. There was no cellular phones. There was no internet. There was no Rioting. There was no BLM. There was just a large group of strangers smoking, drinking, talking, laughing, and just plain having fun. I get chills down my spine Everytime I hear Freddie Mercury sing.
Lol, there was no racism he says 😂
@@talltree3941 It wasn't something commonly seen at concerts. It wasn't as if people were denied entry based on their ethnicity, or told they had sit in the back if they were "persons of color." There weren't separate water fountains. And there was no confusion about which bathroom to use!
@@kurtkensson2059 oh yeah, in the confinement of the concert i’m sure if was all nice because it was a bunch of fans listening to one of their favorite bands. In fact, concerts these days are the same. But in the comment he appears to be talking about how it was everywhere, not just the concert arena. At least that’s how I understood it. Anyway, thanks for your comment ✌️
@@talltree3941 I read it differently. It seemed to me that "Going to a concert back in the 1980's..." and "There was just a large group of strangers smoking, drinking, talking, laughing, and just plain having fun" made it clear that the comment was about the concerts themselves. Oh, well, opinions vary. Thank you, too, for your reply.
I love how he loved having big crowds❤️
RIP TO A LEGEND
Such a shame that they forgot to press record on the camera for Queen's last ever concert. Wish I was alive to witness something so truly beautiful
Increíble que no haya sido grabado. Tremendo 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I am gutted I never got to see Queen live
It's amazing how performers can go out there to face what is literally an army of people. even though they have paid to see you and you know they love you it must be very daunting.
Happy 70th Birthday to you Queen Legend John Richard Deacon, Hearty wishes from Hyderabad, India 19/08/2021
No smartphone no internet just precious conversation
Amazing video So beautiful Freddie Mercury thanks for Sharing!
That’s the end of Freddie right there. Nobody at that gig would have known they were witnessing history.
Ali74 none of us knew that this was the end, I feel so blessed that I was there
Status Quo + Queen= The perfect concert!!!
God how I wish I would have seen them live
I was there. Fantastic show.
Great great history.
I was there. What a monumental day that was. it was all down hill after this gig
I was 16 at the time and lived in Stevenage, we could pretty much hear the concert from there lol
Excellent video thanks for sharing.Good Job!
