Freddie and Roger had a similar temper. both were explosive and really cheery. whereas Brian and John were calm and modest. I think that's why they had a lot of common things like dressing up in drag for fun. they really were good friends.
Roger filling in for Freddie is the sweetest thing ever. Singing when your voice/throat is telling you to stop is _painful_ so it's very kind of Roger to step in and let Freddie take a rest, especially while he's in the middle of drumming like that. And for him to focus on how Freddie sounds and being able to hear that he needs help while he's doing his own part already... it just shows how much they all truly, honestly cared for one another. And Roger didn't sound _great_ his voice wasn't made for that kind of song, but he did it anyway to help out his friend. Help that Freddie immediately accepted, as he went on to do lower harmonies which were easier. There was no jealousy on Freddie's part, either. No feeling of "why is he doing my part now?" Just gratefulness. They are one of the only bands I can confidently say was a family. P.S. anybody know which show that was?
This is exactly why Queen were the best band of all time. They looked out for each other, and were completely in tune with one another even when they didn't always get along.

He considered Mary his common law wife. In an interview with Roger he described the kind of women that got Freddie's attention. Somewhere I have a couple of examples of him checking out women.
Jennifer Stine Doesn‘t make him any less bi
@@jenniferstine8567 What kind of women did he like, perhaps Mary like?
Lora Miranda Freddie liked FAT BOTTOM GIRLS. That’s why Brian wrote the song.
@@jenniferstine8567, which interview?
You should know Roger has a song dedicated to Freddie called "Old Friends". thumbsup
Just listened to it,and bawled My eyes out.
It's a beautiful song. You can tell he really misses Freddie.
they were the two with the best senses of humor....I love them! there is a reason why Roger has that giant statue of Freddie in his garden at home.
I think Freddie would think it was hilarious that Roger did that, but love that he did it just the same.
One of the most powerful, distinctive, beautiful voices, that I ever heard in my life. His showmanship, his presence, his style, he was the ultimate Rockstar. We will love and remember you forever beloved Freddie. 11/24/22.
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT DEAKY AT 1:40
Lil cutie did a lil wave
AWH HES SO ADORABLE-
DEAKYYYYY
The frequency of the o o o in between is irritating
Exactly
YEAH IT IS😂😂😂
hahaha i thought the same
I agree
What music video is the o o o ??
Best 13 minutes ever! Thank you so much for this compilation. ♡
11:48 literally every stoner conversation
😆
These two are so right with each other and I feel they were much closer than the others. Freddie got a real kick out of Roger and seemed to love his humor
Roger said they would meet at sunset to have a drink when they were on tour and then go their separate ways for the night's partying, of course.
roger was always and still is very protective bout freddie. the whole band were protective with each other it was a family love
I love that they were not afraid to show their affection for one another, I get such joy from videos and scenes like this! I LOVE all the out takes from Radio GaGa, Brian and John are like the dads wanting their bad boys to behave! Also love whenever Freddie put the crown on Roger! Thanks for this great video, I don't have to look all over You Tube for these wonderful moments!
I love that Roger was such an affectionate guy. Must be a great father!
@@t4txt4tn69 I agree with you! It's nice his son is following in his footsteps on the drums. I'm sure they are spending a lot of quality time together and hopefully behaving themselves, lol!
@@kimemerson5732 Rufus has his own band called The Darkness. If you have a sense of humor like his family, a different son wrote a book that's hilarious. I think his first name is Felix. It's available as an ebook. It's called Just Desserts.
@@jenniferstine8567 thanks so much for the information, I will check for the book!
@@jenniferstine8567The title is "Serve cold"
Their grins at each other when Freddie changes the lyrics to Tutti Tutti is adorable ♥
I love when Roger fills in for Freddie, it’s so sweet. Their friendship is amazing, cute, and true ❤:)😀
I wish I could remember which concert clip I saw long ago that had Freddie and Roger yelling and laughing after the concert, "Wanna get paid, wanna get laid, lol"
13:03 was one of my favourites.. Freddie's face was hilarious 😂
They went through thick and thin together. Their friendship was based on acceptance and respect for each other, not money and fame. So it last.
Love how roger fills in for Fred in don’t stop me now
Oh my gosh...when Roger filled in for freddie. I'll be fine..I just need a moment to COLLECT MYSELF.
😢
Awwww so sweet, Roger filling in for Freddie during "Don't Stop Me Now". Also, where did you get the clip of Roger and Freddie singing "39" together?
39 live at Hyde park 1976
@@rohanr.9714 OMG THANK YOU!!! :)
Yes I agree that was so sweet. Having a freandship like that is goals
Now that's a friend. He just started singing so Freddie Mercury could rest his voice. Even though he wasn't making the notes Freddie wisely stopped singing and let him have it. A lot of Superstars would have tried to push through and would have gotten upset, but Freddie even being the Mega Star that he was didn't even get upset. Now those are friends and Band Mates
2:34 You must appreciate not only Roger's vocal skills but his ability to fill when the situation is about it
4:52 - 4:59 Roger is the only person who was allowed to strangle Freddie even if it was only for clip 😂
7:40 I lost it when Freddie did that 🤣🤣🤣
*_the most beautiful friendship in the world_*
I love that even back in the 70s when being gay wasn't ok, his band mates let him be who he is.
the bit where roger starts singing so freddie can rest his voice is the most wholesome bit i think
Their voices complimented each other. When Freddie was hoarse, he had to sing in baritone and Roger’s voice blended in nicely.❤️❤️
It's hard to believe that Freddie has been gone for 31 years but really legends don't die. Freddy is still telling Roger "C'mon Blondie" from wherever he is.
😢
im sorry but who is freddy? i only know freddie
Ugh you're right they are literally friendship goals and so underrated. Would love a part 2 ❤
THIS IS SO PURE I CAN'T
Tysm for this
Roger and Freddie’s friendship can cure my depression and clear my skin ✨
Roger was the brother Freddie never had. What an awesome duo!! Best ever!!! Miss and love you Freddie!!
The moment when Roger fills in for Freddie, so he can rest his voice........ that’s not only professional, considerate and cool. That’s LOVE!❤️
