I was not a big fan of the ending. I didn't mind where everyone ended up. I just think it would have been better if season 7 and 8 had full ten episode seasons so they could flesh it all out and make it less rushed. HBO and George Martin wanted ten seasons and they did have enough material.
Anyway having said that I totally agree with you guys. It was a hell of a journey and the fact that I didn't like the way it ended it doesn't stop me from coming back.
House of the Dragon is awesome. Hope you guys do it too.

Thanks for the journey! You were great!)
So glad that you liked ending. You have catched the point: Bran with no enemies with enyone and that's the key for peace after a long war between everyone and everything. Especially if he knows all the past events he can learn from it and became a really wise ruler.
Many people wanted their own ending and hated the way as its ended in the show, bc of the mistakes made by creators during the last couple seasons, but it doesn't mean show ended well. All the characters got what they deserved.
Thank you guys once again, see ya!)

I’ve watched so many reactors do this series and I’ve enjoyed most of them but I must say that I think y’all have really done the most epic reactions of all. I haven’t commented on any of the other episodes but I wanted to take a second to say how much I’ve enjoyed watching this with you. I especially loved your reaction to Arya killing the Night King. Your reactions to the deaths was really touching and I loved the idea of The Night King and Bran being so similar in some ways. I’m writing this before I see you actually watch this episode so…. Let’s go!!!!
After watching the episode with you::: I’m not sure about Bran being king but I absolutely love that Drogon destroyed the throne. Drogon got it..he was done… he had just had it. Drogon understood that it was the throne that destroyed his mother. He understood it more than anyone. I LOVE that Ghost got a cuddle in the end. And the very end with Jon going out with all the people and the music coming up…. Chills!!!
Another very well done reaction. I really like that you’ve chosen to see all sides of Bran becoming King and not just the negative. I’m not sure how I feel about it but I love the options that you’ve opened up as far as ways to view it…. Well done…

Idk man. Same feeling about it all but Dany was always a bad mood away from losing her cool. And her burning it all does make total sense to me -
She’s been fighting for her seat for 8 seasons thinking she was the only Targaryen left, now she knows that not true - someone else has a stronger claim, plus she lost two kids, Jorah, a best friend within a few weeks and no one in Kings Landing respects her despite her sacrifices and her dragons. She’s been taking L’s all along the way, and big ones lately so she NEEDS the throne, it’s all she has left to live for. She’s done being good before she wins, she wants to win now and be good later

Can't believe you started your GoT reactions almost exactly a year ago and it's finally come to an end! It's been quite the journey. They did Dany, Jaime, and Cersei dirty, and Bran is such a boring choice, but I'm not one of those people who say the finale ruined the entire show. There are way too many incredible moments throughout the series for that. And of course it gave us my fav character of all time, Lady O, so I'm satisfied.

The whole reason why people, including myself were soooooo disappointed was because they spent 7 seasons building towards a particular ending….and for the sake of wrapping things up quickly so the creators could jump ship to their Star Wars project, they completely screwed it up. I freaking love the bait and switch George RR Martin, the notorious Lord of the Rings fan, pulls. He wants you to think Jon and Dany are Aragorn and Arwen, but they end up being Frodo and Gollum. The lust for the throne/ring leads Dany/Gollum to their doom, and Jon/Frodo embark on a great adventure in lesser known lands.

Learned to love the ending: John never had ambitions being king, he loved being with the Wildlings and normal folk. Bran was that important that the Night King was only interested in him, so fitting to make him the ruler, and he will be just. Sanza dreamed of being Queen since childhood and Arya alwas wanted to be independant. And Daenarys... as much as I would have loved her to live with John. .. She always showed signs that she could get mad. I just didn't want to see it. But THAT exactly IS GOT: we never got what we wanted, always the unexpected. So in the end - okay for me.
Of course more money, more episodes, more years of committment by the actors... the plot could have been refined.

The worst ending to an EPIC series. Witty and intelligent Tyrion became stupid and outwitted at every turn. Jon became a 13 yr old boy in lust and you are my queen got very old....Dialog and the awesome interactions went away and we got short one liners to rush people getting places and getting major events done. The boy who said he couldn't be lord of anything become the king of the seven kingdoms. The show was so dumbed down from what made it awesome just to get the show completed so the people doing the show could do the star wars series! If it wasn't for the cinematography of the fight against the dead, the end of season 7 and season 8would've been the worst of the entire series IMO. The only consolation is that they rushed the ending to finish the series so they could do Star Wars, and after the backlash of the rushed ending, got dumped from the Star Wars series.

For a series that has felt like an A almost all the way through, I feel like the ending grade has to be a C-C+ for me. A rushed story at the end, both Jon and Bran’s conclusions fell flat in my opinion (though I can’t say it doesn’t make sense).
On a personal post-viewing cinematic note, a final shot of Jon on the throne absolutely dispirited & shattered over what he did to get to the position he never wanted to be in would’ve been insane (zoom in on his face as opposed to the “Targaryen Reveal” zoom out that happened at the end of S6).

So Jon got sentenced by his brother (really cousin) to spend his life with the Night’s Watch. Asa man of honor he of course immediately deserted to instead go off with the wildlings. Bronn who was notoriously untrustworthy, did not contribute to defeating the Night King, had no connections in the Reach, no bonds with the new administration save being a buddy of Tyrion, is confirmed as Lord of Highgarden and the Reach, and is also appointed Master of Coin (despite being notoriously avaricious). Sansa was able to bring “thousands of Northmen” south, enough of them to be a threat to what remained of Daenerys’ army. Robb was only able to scrape together 20 000 men, yet Sansa could bring thousand south after the armies of the North being devastated in the War of the Five Kings, and their minimal forces undoubtedly being decimated by the Ray of the Dead. How were Jon and Tyrion even still alive by the time this council was was convened? Greyworm and and the unsullied had no problem summarily executing all enemy forces after they had surrendered, but somehow let them live? Speaking of the Unsullied, Daenerys (and the show runners) never really treated them as free men if you think about it. Yers she ‘freed’ them, but only AFTER ordering them to kill their masters. Did any of them except for Grayworm ever even have any lines, let alone a character arc, or any indication that they functioned as free individual; people, with opinions of their own? In the end they all just blindly obeyed Grayworm and went to Nath just because he had some vague idea of having wanted tk settle there with Misandei? This warrior caste, who have never experienced anything but war or training for war, en masse decided to settle on an obscure island known for its pacifism, vegetarianism, and and a disease that kills off any invaders within a year of settling there? A disease only the native population is immune to? Such a week ending to this series.

There’s a really popular video (10 million views) where a fan comes up with a different ending that a lot of people liked more. Be cool if y’all reacted to that. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/G0mncEl4nVU/v-deo.html
Definitely a lot of controversy with the final season. I remember being fine with it until people started pointing out a bunch a unanswered questions and why certain decisions didn’t make sense. Lol You can find hella content online about how one of the best shows ever created was ruined and why people just stopped talking about it after being one of the most talked about series. Two things I didn’t really like was I felt like John deserved the Night King kill and Cersei deserved a better death. She was an amazing villain and I think she went out kinda sorry. I didn’t like the direction they went with Daenerys at first but I think her villain transition needed some more room to breathe. The final season was rushed and you can tell in the story telling and plot holes.

I really enjoyed watching your reaction to the whole series! Thank you. And I feel vindicated for actually liking the ending. There was SO much negativity when the final episodes aired but I felt it made sense. And since George R.R. Martin left the producers without source material to finish the story (it’s 12 years and counting since he finished the last novel - and with 2 more due, I doubt it will ever be finished), I think they did a decent job.

I can't stand Sansa.she was glad Jon got sent to the wall. She got what she always wanted, to be Queen. She didn't even really want Jon to be King of the North. John is going to go live with the wildlings.

this ending sucks so bad and i feel like the writers real misunderstood Daenerys, or failed to execute exactly why she burned down kingslanding. Sure they did great with Tyrion, he had the most screen time in the show- Much Tyrion was the first downfall of Daenerys. Tyrion was so fixated on keeping his family safe, even Cersei, that it cost Daenerys the most. She lost a Dragon and her best friend, because of Tyrions unwillingness to maybe just let cersei die! she didn’t like him anyways. If Daenerys had flown Rhaegal, Viserion, and Drogon to the red keep before Cersei had time to build/get ready the scorpions Daenerys would’ve successfully taken the Iron throne, with minimal casualties. Instead Tyrion advised her otherwise because he wanted her to make “peace” with Cersei as if that would EVER happen. That’s why Daenerys snaps at him so much- he was never really advocating of her or trying to kill her enemies- “your family you mean. Perhaps you don’t want to kill them after all.” that line explains everything. Let’s not forget how Daenerys whole goal was the Iron throne. He birthed dragons- liberated slaves, the whole 360. She even aided the north with recourses and troops for the battle against the white walkers. Now i’m not saying that Daenerys deserves their lives because of it. But Daenerys would’ve had a better chance at killing them than Jon or sansa would’ve- which is why is sad that she doesn’t even get respect or a thank you? Of course through this Daenerys is going to try to make allies, and connections. But Sansa insists she has an alternative motive. Like Sansa- weren’t you doing the same thing when try to get YOUR home back? what’s the difference? Daenerys doesn’t deserve her home back? even after going through worse things than Sansa? She lost Jorah, her best advisor, the man she’s trusted with her life since day one or her mission, she lost viserion, A child. And she did it for jon? After the war Jon got praised for riding a dragon. Didn’t Daenerys do that too? She was the only reason he could get near Rhaegal. Didn’t she help turn the tie in the war? where was her thanks, or appreciation? Somehow she is still unworthy of the north? She lost Rhaegal, she was so happy to see him recovering, only to be shot down and killed. She lost Missendi, her best friend, all to help the north, and be patient like Tyrion and Varys advised her to do. She lost basically all her family she has left and support. Grey worm wanted what Daenerys wanted. Revenge. Now Daenerys burning KL down wasnt right, but through these details it’s understandable. Why would she want to save a city, or a country for that fact that didn’t love her? she had no love there, she only had fear. Remember the people could’ve declared for Daenerys if they wanted to. they are more powerful than Cersei ever was. the worse up against Joffrey and almost won, the Sparrows almost took over KL, so saying they couldn’t isn’t actually true. Let’s not forget how the people of KL kill, rape and steal from each other. they aren’t all innocent. some deserved to be burned. Maybe if the show runners decided to put more time in showing the decline in Daenerys humanity than it would’ve been better. but her just randomly being “the mad queen” doesn’t make since and it ruins what’s ben built for, the entire season. Daenerys didn’t deserve to die, or at least the way she did. Jon didn’t deserve all the hype he got, and it’s understandable why Daenerys seen him as a threat. He was being praised for all of her hard work. Tyrion was a terrible hand and played just as much in the burning or KL as Daenerys. Bran replacing Daenerys as the ruler is also the WORST decision a show has ever made in the history or show making. After the death of id say, the main character of GOT your going to make bran the broken the king of the 7 kingdoms? sloppy writing. Non or the starks should’ve sat the throne and that includes Jon, although he would’ve been better than Bran. Justice for Daenerys and Drogon. I hope she’s somehow Resurrected for the new series, and even if Emilia does decide not to return, that they resurrect her off screen, and let her have 2 kids with drogon revamping the dragon blood line. It would be the only reason i’d continue watching the series. (of course it would be cooler if the kids were Jon’s and Daenerys together)

@@House0fHoot Yes but this is game of thrones let’s be real. And Jon’s show isn’t going to be interesting without a presence that can replace Daenerys or Daenerys herself. And the only way to actually replace her is through children. Jon isn’t going to take drogon like many people think he will. that’s not how dragons work. Drogon won’t be tamed by a person who killed his mother. So it could be possible Daenerys lives, just never makes an appearance or something that results in them having kids and for some reason she isn’t in the show. Jon and Daenerys have done it show wise. it’s not out of the blue for them to have secret kids if Daenerys lives.

Decline in Dany's humanity began in S1, when Dany burned Mirri Maz Durr, a rape victim who watched her entire village be massacred, and was now somehow supposed to be grateful just for being 'saved' which in reality meant serving the same people who did this to her and her village in perpetuity.
Dany was a tyrant. Sooner or later her tyrannical tendencies would have won out even if she had captured Westeros without bloodshed. It would be like in Mereen all over. She'd be uninterested in ruling, disillusioned about the squabbling houses, distrustful of her former enemies and even more distrustful of people close to her. These things would eventually reach a breaking point where the number of people concerned starts growing in tandem with her paranoia, resulting in more and more people being 'purged' until there's no one left.
And the message of the show is really on point: people prefer someone like Dany or even Jon to be a ruler rather than someone like Bran. People like Bran do not care about being admired, worshipped or glorified. They're simply content to sit by and do their job. The realm will have a Small Council that builds sewers nd ports instead of cleaning up the messes of a drunken king who whores and drinks his way into bankrupting his realm, or worrying about the mental state of a volatile queen. Being a ruler shouldn't be a 'prize' you 'deserve', but a tireless duty.

@@SerbAtheist Id have to Agree to Disagree. Daenerys for most of her life she has been helpless. It’s only in season 1 when she starts to become less forgiving- and more hypocritical. She isn’t not becoming Tyrannical at that point though. Mirri Max Durr, even though helping Daenerys when asked- was better off being a slave for Daenerys than being one for the Khals. Let’s not forget that Mirri Maz Durr also lied to Daenerys when using her child’s life for Khal Drogo, and brought him back as a veggie. Something she could’ve warned Daenerys about but didn’t.
During season 2 we see more of Daenerys love for the common folk (the Slaves) something most Tyrants don’t do or show. We also see Daenerys hatred for slavery and Noble slavers. It becomes Hypocritical when she obviously excepts Jorah a known slaver- and kills the noble slave masters. Still though, many people see this as justice and it was good for the slaves of Meereen- showing she was doing it for the people. Not quite Tyrianical yet but we are seeing more of that hypocrisy and cruelty.
by the time the show ends we see this side come out many times but it’s when Daenerys demands her subjects to bend the knee and follow her ruling we’re id say she was a tyrant. So endish season 7- beginning s8. I love Daenerys and i know she was a Tyrant by the end of the show. It’s just something the books and Daenerys original character wouldn’t agree with and made no sense. If the decline was slower and not just hypocrite to mad tyrant. I think the best description of her Character comes from Tyrion lannister. “everywhere she goes cruel men die, and we cheer her for it. And every year she grows more sure that she is right and knows what’s good.”
