Forget about it. The world is not changing. Don't get me wrong. I love this car. But DS, Cupras or Genesis are premium "wannabe's". Cheaper than premium cars that, not achieving what a premium really is, they make you feel good and the quality/price ratio is decent. The world will keep being BMW/Mercedes/Audi+Lexus, Land Rover, Jaguar, etc. By the time they get a premium price anyone will buy these mentioned brands instead of them. They want to sell to the people that want a premium but can't really afford them.
Some people are complaining at the lack of power in the motors do you find that it’s zippy enough to move you through traffic?
Ciao Chris! Tbh the 231 hp model carries a bit too much weight (approx 1800kg) so yeah, you cant really expect too much power but it’s pretty good in traffic and it has a decent acceleration (imho).
@@Turbo_Dogma If you referring to the larger capacity battery I think you are trading of range for performance but that would be the same for any car. The Cooper does come with a e-boost button which understand does performance noticeably. the other option is that the company upgrade the motor to a high performance spec and certainly that would address some peoples issues. But obviously it would have a knock on effect on the range.
@@chrisnewman7281 I don't think the Born will ever see an upgraded version, when I drove all the Born versions at the press presentation in Spain I got a bit disappointed by Cupra since they called thier new EV "hot hatchback" which is really not in my opinion. Ok, it drives better than the iD.3 but the overall balance is "meh". As I said before che curb weight it too much even for a C Segment car, brakes are not keeping up with the weight and the steering is not really communicative. It's much much better as a daily commuter

@@chrisnewman7281 exactly, 330mm in the front and a 280mm drum in the rear
