Chris Cornell was the singer of Soundgarden so it's an unplugged version of his own song. Great reaction though man! RIP Chris. Best Rock Vocalist of all time IMO.
I am 62 years old, and my son always told me "mama, you need to listen to Chris Cornell" After all these years, I have finally "discovered" him. WOW....What a strong voice and his tone is beautiful. Thank you for your reactions, I probably wouldnt have listened to him if it hadnt been for reactions...
Chris voice was beautiful. It was also heartbreaking, like pain distilled into pure sounds. His lyrics were inspired and poetic. What a loss to the world.
Chris cornell was also the lead singer of the band Audioslave, if you listened to their song "show me how to live" or "i am the highway" his vocals would blow your mind!
He was one of the best ever. It’s funny how he started out as a drummer and became one of the greatest rock singers of all time. I cried 3 days when he passed away. What a loss. We love you Chris.
That sustained note on "change" = B4. When he went up on "how would I know" = D5. So yes he danced around that C5 like it was nothing. Chris had range for dayyys. RIP
That moment when the cello took over then the guitar joined it... wow. Not sure why I hadn't watched this version before. It's amazing. Thanks for bringing it to my attention n once again, great job on your reaction 👍🏻
I see how much you enjoy Chris’s voice just like me so I know you will love a solo song of his When I’m Down live at the Troubadour. Pretty please! Goosebumps guaranteed. The notes he hits in it are just amazing! Really shows his range. And Chris had 3 bands Soundgarden and Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. He hits way higher notes in Hunger Strike too by the way which also features Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.
When I got the album Euphoria Morning, I listened to When I'm Down so many times. In addition to his mastery of singing, he such an amazing lyricist. His words are so emotionally evocative.
Chris's voice was so unique and of his own doing making the most of his meloncoly voice he could single out a room with just 1 vocal sentence. Chris is still missed among his family and those who related to his songs. His songs still evoke so much power and so much soul that even new listeners would be so moved by his abilities while he was alive. Chris Cornell a great vocalist and performer loved by many and missed by all who have known him or known his music. Rest well my brother we will meet again on those golden shores.
Soundgarden needed Chris but Chris with other bands could never be Soundgarden. Soundgarden is my favorite band but every player is absolutely great song writers and contributed as such.
And this was when he was older when he was younger with really long hair early 90s his range was godly listen to Say hello 2 heaven live or Birth Ritual live and it will blow your mind the best Rock front man to me and alot of others R.I.P Chris Cornell.
I agree but i think his warmer timbre came out around his 30's, which i personally prefer over his absolutely godly ranged voice. I love his younger voice too, don't get me wrong but it was a little colder than how it became later (from Superunknown on), he got a lot of lower harmonics that made his timbre even more unique and soulful in my opinion, despite losing some range.
Your correct I’m gen z 1971 and when I didn’t have any one I had Chris,, tough world tougher times. I grew with him from 80s up love that you love him.; LLC
For some reason, it was an era when great sing-songwriter-musicians felt the need to cover themselves in bands. Lot of them. Chris, Eddie, Billy, Kurt, Trent, etc.
Disagree 100%. The rest of Soundgarden was amazing and pushed Chris to reach the heights that he did. Kim Thayil was the main creative force for most of Soundgarden's material until Chris found his feet as a songwriter, and even then a big part of their unique sound was Kim's playing.
@@dudermcdudeface3674 your comment might have held weight if you hadn't included Eddie. Most of the music for Pearl Jam's first album was written before he joined the band.
@@DemBones7 it's amazing that they had only been a full band for about 6 months before they released Ten.... such an iconic album and they just blended musically and lyrically... to think Eddie just did a few demo songs because a friend of his had been asked to is pretty mind blowing... they knew what type of sound they wanted from the vocals and essentially learn from Mother Love Bone about how to reach their full potential. I kinda love the fact that the rhythm section f the band was the true driver, not the vocalist or lead guitarist. Sorry for geeking out on Pearl Jam... just been going through their catalogue and remembering when I first heard them as a 12 year old. Such great.music that completely locked me into alternative bands. I already preferred hard rock over hair metal, then the grunge era began
Love your reaction.. You are spot on with your attention to details vocally. Chris Cornell is by far my favorite vocalist of all time. He puts so much feeling into his music no matter what he sings and the way he re-arranges the songs when he does covers to make them his own. He is awesome. I would react to Chris when he was in the band Temple of the dog, the song is called "Say Hello Heaven" please review the song from the album. The live versions are poorly recorded because the band was formed in the early nineties and none of the video recordings do the song justice.
Chris was amazing and very talented. He wasn't covering this song he wrote it. He was the singer for soundgarden. Depression is a horrible thing. I wish this man was still here making music.
It's his song bro...he is the Soundgarden lead singer, song writers.... 👍🏼😁🙏I remember when I watched Chris Cornell Euphoria mourning live concert in Berlin in 1999 when I was still in college there, the place was not big and I was standing in the front row, so I was only 1.5 meters away from Chris and at the end when he said thank you guys etc i called his name loudly and he turned to me I held out his hand he came over and we shook hands...oooh my god...i was very surprised and happy ❤️👍🏼RIP Chris
He surely did. His late releases where, more haunting like this. Such a loss. He wrote amazing music, sung it so so amazingly. So many demons with his deprsion.
Chris Cornell, my all time favourite vocalist. Soundgarden, my 2nd favourite band after Tool. A humble request to see SOMEONE react to another incredible vocalist from the 'Grunge' Scene. Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees). Totally overlooked by all. Doesn't have the range of Chris, but the soul in his voice is impeccable. Blues for the Apocalypse Would you please consider reacting to Mark Lanegan & Duke Garwood - Pentecostal (from The Black Pudding Album) please? I think it shows off his vocal talent superbly and if that grabs you, then you will get plenty of requests from Screaming Trees fans to do others. Dust and Sweet Oblivion, the 2nd and 3rd albums from ST easily stand up alongside the recognised Classic Grunge albums like Pearl Jam - Ten & Versus, Alice In Chains - Dirt, Nirvana - Nevermind & In Utero
@ThatSingerReactions sooo thrilled you discovered Chris. He was Soundgarden and Audioslave. He wrote over 300 songs and had a vibrant solo career before he left us. Loud Love 💜 ps his cover of Nothing Compares to U makes me cry every time 💔
You have to listen to the official video of LIKE A STONE! my favorite song AND my MOST favorite and BEST guitar solo by Tom Morello that you’ll ever hear!!!
I think Chris poured out every bit of his soul til there was none left .. like Hendrix .. even Marvin Gaye.. was just time for them to go .. the left us their gift.. and yes thank you my brotha for showcasing this tune 👍🏻👍🏾
Also suggest for really good vocals, another original sound that NO ONE can replicate is layne Staley from Alice In Chains! You’ll be blown away!! Rooster, Man in the Box, down in a hole, heaven beside you!! If you’re looking for the best acapella group listen to Home Free and I guarantee you’ll become a Home Fry like me…butts, Elvira, ring of fire, travelin soldier, and pretty much anything man!! Tim Foust has the best and most dreamy BASS voice that you’ve ever heard. In fact listen to the live performance of ring of fire in the sing off competition but also listen to the official video featuring Avi Kaplan!!!!
Thanks for your reaction from Bulgaria Europe, but please, please react to When I’m Down live at the Troubadour!!! And when you mention his range, I'd like to recommend to you Soundgarden Beyond the Wheel live.
Bro Chris was was the lead singer of Soundgarden in the 90’s than after Rage Against the Machine broke up he fronted Audioslave with the Rage band when Zack De La Rocha went separate ways when they broke up.
Chris Cornell was the singer of Soundgarden so it's an unplugged version of his own song. Great reaction though man! RIP Chris. Best Rock Vocalist of all time IMO.
Yeah right! So it's not a cover!
Lol
Yeah it's definitely a poorly labeled video
Absolutely ❤❤
Are you a baritone? Chris: yes.
high tenor? Chris: yes.
What about sultry jazz? Chris: yes.
What about scream metal? Chris: yes.
🤯
That 4th octave vocal range is godlike
Can you be Silence?........ i guess in the end he could😭😭
I am 62 years old, and my son always told me "mama, you need to listen to Chris Cornell" After all these years, I have finally "discovered" him. WOW....What a strong voice and his tone is beautiful. This isn't a cover. This is his own song..
He was the greatest rock singer(singer) period.. greatly missed.

I get it yall he IS the lead singer of sound garden the video had him "covering Soundgarden" like he wasn't the singer lol
Please Nick listen to more Chris Cornell, Soundgarden, Audioslave & Rage Against the Machine. He was in all three. Do yourself a favour!
He always did his own version of everything in a more bluesy way. He was a rockstar with the blues.
That sustained note on "change" = B4. When he went up on "how would I know" = D5. So yes he danced around that C5 like it was nothing. Chris had range for dayyys. RIP

Yessss, that one for me is one of his most impressive performances at his late age.
His acoustic cover of "thank you" by Led Zeppelin is hauntingly beautiful. Thx for sharing your reactions, peace.
RIP Chris Cornell
Omg I’m so excited to see you react to this ...💜🥂💜

Chris cornell IS soundgarden!! Check out his later band audioslave.
Audioslave is so damn good!
Soundgarden needed Chris but Chris with other bands could never be Soundgarden. Soundgarden is my favorite band but every player is absolutely great song writers and contributed as such.
Chris Cornell be yourself live is so good.
I love this song and Chris Cornell
Chris Cornell was the best cover singer ever. He just gave them justice. Some people do them and fail, he did them justice to their original owners
Yo! You just blurted out was I couldn’t put into words! He EMOTES! You’re on point w/ your reactions, bro!
Lol... finally Cris Cornell covered sound garden. Love the realness of your reaction.
Check out Say Hello To Heaven-Temple of the dog live at the Moore
How can you not have goosebumps? Crazy good
Great reaction to an amazing singer who went too soon. Rest in Love and Peace.
Definitely best singer ever, RIP Chris Cornell, your music changed my life.

Miss him deeply :(
You should check out Chris Cornell singing the words to Metallica's song "One" to the music of U2's song "One". Brilliant!
Best live performance I've ever seen no studio tricks here pure passion and talent 👏
Check out "Outshined" by Soundgarden. His range is crazy.
Your correct I’m gen z 1971 and when I didn’t have any one I had Chris,, tough world tougher times. I grew with him from 80s up love that you love him.; LLC
Greatest singer ever...... that's the end of my comment
Chris Cornell is one of a kind. Great follow of it. Thanks for the content.
Dude Soundgarden Beyond The Wheel! See Chris Cornell when he was young screaming in super high belts to see what he was capable of! Live version!
yeah man chris cornell is the lead singer of soundgarden g.
Lol....Chris WAS the singer of sound garden!
You should check out him doing "When I'm Down" live. Maybe his best.
Chris was the singer of Soundgarden
Chris Cornell WAS Soundgarden. He was the lead singer and he wrote this song.

modest and tormented man, I miss him.
I adore your reactions to Chris Cornell❤

love the reaction
love Chris so much.
Like that cello accompaniment...
Everything about this! The tone of his voice - rich and vast. The mix of the acoustics - unique and fabulous. Loved it!
This is my first time hearing this unplugged version. Wow, very impressive! Great reaction 🙋🏻♀️👌🏼👍🏼🙌🏼💜🇨🇦
You should do Chris Cornell’s performance of When I’m Down at the Troubidour in around 2010 with a piano. Amazing performance
You gotta hear how powerful his rock vocals are. In old days of Soundgarden, one producer said Chris blew 3 studio microphones. RIP Chris
It was FIVE Neumann U87 mics during the recording of Superunknown. $3,200 a piece at today's retail price. Just utterly nuked them with his voice.
Rip Chris. Was such a great soul... He is missed... thanks for the great music man
One of the best performances from Chris is When I'm Down 2010.
Chris was amazing and very talented. He wasn't covering this song he wrote it. He was the singer for soundgarden. Depression is a horrible thing. I wish this man was still here making music.
RIP chris. Check out him covering “nothing compares to you”
Already did that one :)
That’s the thing he was in Soundgarden this was a very young Chris Cornell
Thank you for doing this. Miss you Stargazer. RIP
Stargazer was the nickname for Andrew woods girlfriend and she has done nothing but shit on chris. She is the worst
greatest reactions to Chris Cornell in this channel. Great content man!
Chris is the singer for Soundgarden. Not sure why they say it’s a cover. It is his song
Rip Chris my top 3 singers
He sang for Soundgarden. So really he is covering his self. But you're right he takes any song and makes it his own.
Seems you've got an expressive voice too (Chris was the writer/vocalist for Soundgarden)
I read that Chris Cornell had a four octave voice.
He surely did. His late releases where, more haunting like this. Such a loss. He wrote amazing music, sung it so so amazingly. So many demons with his deprsion.
Your awesome mad respect
Chris Cornell, my all time favourite vocalist. Soundgarden, my 2nd favourite band after Tool.

Soundgarden is Cornell. The studio version of this song is worth it.
First time on your channel…you are a vocal expert/Jack Black extraordinaire! Love the replays!!

Dope video!
Hi, have you heard the song song when I'm down? Particularly the live version at the Troubadour. Chris Cornell at his finest!
There is an album called No One Sings Like You Anymore on Apple Spotify ETC… all covers might get a part 2 soon as well
Check out Chris Cornell scream accoustic
This was his song he was singing !! He was lead singer of sound garden 🪴
Bro Chris was was the lead singer of Soundgarden in the 90’s than after Rage Against the Machine broke up he fronted Audioslave with the Rage band when Zack De La Rocha went separate ways when they broke up.
Yo thatsinger, Chris Cornell covered Whitney Huston's (dolly) "I will always love you"
Cris was lead singer for soundgarden
More reactors should be doing this version
His acoustic tour (early 2010s somewhere) was quite something. Saw him at Bospop iirc.
I cant believe I missed your Chris Cornell reaction. FYI: Chris Cornell was Sound Garden and Chris Cornell was Audio Slave.
He was the lead singer of Soundgarden
