    Damn... I was gonna try and save a few dollars and just go for the P2.. now I can't but I'm glad I stopped in! Thanks for costing me more money ! Lol

      Haha. Sorry.
      Still rocking my P4 and liking it.
      I actually have 2. Just in case I wreck one and don’t want to be without while waiting for warranty.

    The “p2” and “p4” are by no means a heavy duty tool as leatherman marketed it to be.I tried to pry off a small nail on a plank and the plier head bent so much so that when I finally pulled out the nail the plier head permanently stayed bent

      I’m glad you enjoyed it.
      So many mixed feelings and emotions on this line of multitools, but I think it’ll only get better in time.

    Okay, good video but that’s just nitpicking! I love the p2 and my number one over all Leathermans is still my Swisstool hands down! I hate it when I try to get out one tool and they all pop up at once on my wave, and they are on the inside of the tool and not on the outside like the Swisstool!

      @@diddymaster6415 I love it. I pretty much carry it every day since I've had it. It actually kicked a Chris Reeve Inkosi out of my pocket because it's just way more useful to have.

    Hello Aron, brilliant video! How bulky would you say the p4 is in your back pocket? As looking for new a knife to carry with me all the time!

    • @Mezna539
      @Mezna539  5 років тому +1

      Will I don’t think it’s really that bulky at all.
      It’s actually pretty darn good.
      I’m really liking it and it’s grown on me enough to the point that I’ve actually sold all my other Leatherman tools and bought a second P4 to have as a backup in case I ever need to send one in for warranty.

    I sent my P2 back within a day. But after watching this, and seeing the different handle ergonomics, I may give the P4 a try. If I keep it, I plan to grind down the awl to a point, making it actually useful.

    • @Mezna539
      @Mezna539  5 років тому +2

      Mike Jaynes I’m planning on doing the same thing with my awl.
      I want to notch out the wire stripper, I may remove the serrated blade and put a file in from the Surge.
      We will see.
      Thanks for checking out the vid.

      @@B_L_Smith I gave the P4 a real chance for about a month. I just don't like it. Plus the screwdriver/ruler bent under pretty mild use, it's in for warranty repair right now then being sold on eBay. Keeping my Vic Spirit that's almost as good as new after daily use for 7 years. It makes me feel spoiled compared to the Free. I never had occasion to try the awl on the Free, perhaps you are correct on that.

    • @mjnz
      @mjnz 5 років тому

      @@B_L_Smith This is actually all good news for Leatherman. A numberof people will like the Free series and that's fine for them. Those that don't will most likely end up with a different Leatherman model. Very few will even try the Spirit for whatever reason. It's pretty much a win-win for Leatherman, just one more option in their line up.

    P4 is superior in my opinion

  • @meowianoverlord4854
    @meowianoverlord4854 5 років тому

    So, how is the weight compared to P2, Wave, & Surge?

    • @Mezna539
      @Mezna539  5 років тому +1

      Meowian Overlord Surge is heavier. Wave is probably about the same or maybe a little lighter.
      P4 is slightly thicker, so it has the added weight of a saw blade and an extra knife blade.
      In all honesty, they are all the same.
      Nothing noticeable in the pocket.
