Echo is actually one of the characters I fall back on if we need more DPS, since I play mostly Mei and Sombra. She fun and simple enough to get value with her bubbles, and beam, but her duplicate is definitely is a skill I lack 🤣
i was an echo main when she came out in ow1, mystery heroes is what helped me feel more comfortable with duplicate. just knowing everyone’s kit in an actual game setting made using her ult less scary & more useful
As an Echo main, i can't emphasize enough that she is not Pharah, you don't want to constantly be in the air shooting at a distance. YOU ARE FLOATING, YOU HAVE NO FOOTSTEPS, use this to your advantage. Walk around their frontline and spank them from behind. Use HER flight more for positioning or to dive when you are SURE you can confirm the kill.
Absolutely agree on the 15:02 part where you speak about putting hours into practice if you wanna have fun on the character. Not only every single echo ability is exceptionally difficult to pull off, but you also have an additional 3rd dimension which is flight. Feels like echo is easily on pair with tracer when it comes to difficulty and skill ceiling. Great video, I'm sure many new players who has never played echo would love to try her.
Tracer is harder to 1 trick, as she has no answer for a couple of things and you may find tank diffs suck and certain dps may cause you troubles, while echo is harder overall, but as echo you can tank bust, flank, poke, spam chokes and even out snipe widows if you're fast enough although sometimes the best you can do is trade lol so you bascially can do everything and hard carry any game, but when it comes to tracers job which is flanking, I would say tracer is much easier because shes small and has the second best escape tool in the game next to sombra meanwhile echos the size of a tank with only 1 form of engagement tool and escape which makes you really have ti be smart while you can get away with some really cheesy stuff on tracer something. so it's really hard to compare them but in my experience, which is on console mind you, I found echo much harder to learn since shes bascially a jack of all trades but master of non, and with tracer you can just learn a tank buster or good poke hero and swap making the easier option for ranking up prob just learning a couple heros and swapping.
I'm a bronze support that doesn't play dps, then just learned echo then climbed to diamond dps. She's not as hard as you might think if a bronze support can learn her in about a week.
@@cookiegirl1097 I call bs on that one 😂 do you understand the difference between bronze and diamond? If you could hit diamond as anything, you wouldnt be bronze as anything else, you can legit play moira in bronze and with basic knowledge of the game just instantly climb to gold or if you have the aim to make it in diamond you can bascially dps your way out of bronze, so unless you're a mercy player in bronze that just flys around and you finally picked up a hero that shoots and realised you're a natural at aiming, then this is definitely bs lol
I love playing Echo and her ult results in some of the coolest plays. I love how easy it is to get the assassin style picks with stickies and beams. Also, the flight and quick mobility is great.
I don't think you play echo much cuz 90% of her ults are for an extra life and you usually get one tapped, cuz there is a dumb standing still animation after you copy making it easy to hit you plus the fact that it doesn't cast half the times.
@@SteveFard Wrong. 90% of the time the ultimate is used to copy the wrong character on accident, be confused about what just happened, and then be eliminated one second later. The true echo experience
I love echo, she's got such a high skill ceiling and a lot of expression. it's important to play around your teams needs, like using the focusing beam on low targets and copying supports on occasion
One thing I love abt echo is her potential to stop a push. In more enclosed spaces, she can create a lot of space by making a horizontal line on the floor with bomb. Enemy team has to walk into it and take damage, risking getting melted by beam, or back up and give space. It’s worked beautifully for me a lot. This is made better when you can place a line of them into the space the enemy team back up into.
When I actually got Overwatch, Echo was the first character I actually started playing, and ever since I've kinda been one tricking her. Definitely hard at first with no knowledge of the other heroes, but the thing I learned overall was that Echo's ult can be seen as extra utility like turning into an enemy mercy to rez an ally, or getting a free nano with ana
As an echo main, I think you captured the play style of this character perfectly. Getting used to her unique mechanics isn’t easy, but it’s 100% worth it once you do.
Echo is one of those heroes that's really useful to know for when your tank goes dive or when you can get a mercy pocket, but isn't really a pick every match hero. She definitely has one of the most fun kill combos in overwatch, too. I always go sticky, fire, fire, beam, and it feels so clean.
I ran into an echo one trick in a gold 2 dps game and it was awesome. She played well and was able to create plays for our team. Echo and torb meta right now for sure.
i started learning echo last season and she is one of my favourite heros now, so fucking powerful but it also comes with a skill requirement so it feels earned
I'm basically just a support main but this video is egging me on to try echo 😂 You played amazingg Also that brig block was absolute insanity, what an awesome play ✨️
been watching your 10 hour series for a little bit now aand its so entertaining and also educational incase i wanted to play these characters, really good content dude hope to see more
as an echo main, i'd like to point out that she's really underrated when it comes to countering pharah, a lot of people think the only way to counter her is with a hitscan, but imo echo is way more effective at killing both the pharah and the mercy pocket. i've noticed that i've grown quite bored with most of the hero roster since i play pretty much every hero,, playing echo feels like a breath of fresh air, since i never played her much in OW1, and i can use the knowledge i have on other heroes to use, with her ult
This video came out as i was beginning to try out echo. I only have about 15 hours on her, but shes so much fun! The videos you suggested and watching you play inspired me so much to keep pursuing! ❤
My fav potg i got on echo was copying the enemy team's hog, hooking their hog off the map, and then combining hog ult with nano to kill 3 more, then i landed a hook on their mercy in the sky, but my ult ended, and finished her off with focusing beam.
Dude, that counter duplicate to sleep the Echo charge was amazing! I've loved echo for a while (even thought I'm stuck in gold) and it's nice to see someone else play her
I just wanna say that I PURPOSEFULLY pick enemy support with duplicate whenever 1 of my supports are dead, or both. It helps a lot because her ult in duplicate mode charges very fast even when only healing, so I find copying enemy is actually smart . Even when supports are alive , 3 supports?! That’s gonna help everyone do better dps instead of just yourself. Even better when ur a support main (like me lol). So basically it’s big brain 2 copy enemy support. :)
I think I played against you during your echo play…. A lot… you are very good and I remembered your tag from how often I saw you playing as such a great echo player!!! (In unranked only)
As an Echo player, I think this bug has been in the game for a few seasons. Really surprised they still haven't patched it, but hey it's OW2 so we can't have high hopes ig
I’m starting to learn her just cause of her new Slime Queen skin ahah. She’s fun but I know I let my team down when I play her so far lel. Trying my best tho 😅
After several games of Mystery Heroes where I was Echo, I really started to fall in love with the play style and she’s quickly becoming a main when I DPS
The camo/stealth skin is honestly one of my favorites in the game because it looks like those ancient robots that shoot lasers on the flood from halo, and her hover sound fits perfectly with it too.
as a echo main THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I literally just got her gold gun as like my 10th or 11th gold gun or more and omg do I play her more just bc of it and now tracers is under echo in time of hours
I just recently been going with Echo non stop and now I have no idea how I haven’t always picked her. She’s so fun and and I like her characteristics and her ult lines for other heroes are funny and awesome
I’m an echo main and I’ve never found her difficult. I honestly find the “easy” characters way more difficult than her. I had tried every character over and over before unlocking her and even got symmetry to level 50, she was my first main. But since I got echo I have not been able to go back 😭
As an echo main here’s a good tip, Tip:try not to go strait in and always make sure you have the fly to make sure you can escape, always sneak up on the snipers to single em out
Hardest part of echo is knowing every other characters mechanics other than that on console she’s super easy to use to me but the ult doesn’t do what I need
I’m a support main, when I get damage on quickplay Echo is my primary pick (never played damage on ranked) I have quite a lot of time playing her and she is very strong, where I personally lack when playing as her is being able to properly utilise her ultimate as if the enemy team doesn’t have a Moira I’m duplicating into a character that I’m not good with (so it feels to me like I’m using my ult just to temporarily change into a worse character).
Damn mate, your videos are amazing! i love the editing with all the phrases took from films and series and the gameplay actually was interesting to see! Keep it up!
quick tip that i discovered. bind your fly key to right mouse button and your sicky bombs to shift. this allows you to hold fly and still be able to bob up and down with control and space
For me every time i have tried to learn echo the hardest part is getting used to her projectile speed, no matter how many games I play with her I can't get used to it
I really enjoyed watchin this one! Something I just would have liked was the checkpoints you showed to have them to be more emphasised cos i barely noticed that you checked them off until the end 😅 other than that I really really enjoyed this one!
I've been trying to play every character in overwatch till i am decent at each one. So far i have masterd ana (she was so much harder than i thought) and gengi I'm not too bad at. I have been struggling with echo tho
Yea so the echo bombs disappearing is a fairly common bug. It’s not that big of a deal but when you hit all your sticky’s on a low health target and then they just disappear it can get quite frustrating
Holy shit the flight settings just REVOLUTIONISED my life! I love echo but the flight has always been my biggest issue esp on console. How have I never seen this before!
I consider myself an Echo main and the one thing that helped me enjoy playing her is... having a pocket Mercy lmao. But for real, It's so easy to be greedy as Echo that you'll basically feed without the support of your Supports. I'm not saying Echo without Mercy is impossible, but it'll make playing her a whole lot more fun. The one thing that stuck to me when I watched some tutorials about her is to think of her as a flying Genji. You can spam damage from a far then go in to kill a low health enemy (but instead of dashing into the enemy, you fly above them). Her verticality helps spam a lot of damage and her beam has quite a good range for a beam that can do 175 DPS. I thank Echo for giving me the courage to be back on playing DPS. I used to DPS but I stopped when role queue happened because of the long queues and stuck to Flex Support/Tank. Now, I can use the things that I learned while playing Tanks and Supports on her ultimate!
the bug is when she comes out of duplicate, every entity she spawns disapear after 2 second (any shield or bob for exemple) and the game make stickies disapear also
i'm a support main, but when i do play dmg, i love echo. i know the frustration, believe me. despite that, she's so much fun even though i'm not comp ready with her. i think your ending opinions are pretty fair, but i love playing with her despite it all. i wish more people picked her, but also i will say with her ult, it can be hard sometimes when the enemy team has a lot of characters you're not familiar with, like as soon as the other team is just snipers and a ball, i normally switch unfortunately lol. glad to see her getting some love though, maybe i'll have the courage to play her in comp this season 😊
Can't bealive this man has only 4k subs with this quality of videos. Keep up the great work and I know you will get to the top 500 in overwatch and to top 10 of ow cc's.
Problem is often about tempo, suddenly swapping to another character with a completely different set of mechanical requirements is very jarring for a lot of players using her ult. She's definitely not bad, just so very difficult. But true echo mains terrify me because they can destroy teams if done right. She basically play like a more versatile but complicated Pharah
Echo is one of the most well-rounded DPS in the game. Can poke well because she has no damage falloff. Can dive extremely well since she has a ton of mobility and burst combos: body shot + stickies, headshot + beam, double headshot, etc. Can even work in brawl by playing back a bit and saving flight to escape or finish kills, rather than using it early/frequently. Also this is situational, but she's one of the best characters in the game for killing Bob. Ten headshots from ANY range will solo-kill Bob in approximately 3.3 seconds if he doesn't get healed. It's actually better to save focusing beam unless you run out of ammo since pure headshot DPS is better. If you start at full health and Bob is the only enemy damaging you, Ana can keep you alive while you hit ten headshots without using her nade! Kiriko and Bap can do the same without using Suzu or lamp, although it's a bit riskier with those two.
it surprised me how little people pick echo despite her being so fun
So easy to feed if positioning and flight path are bad
Same thing with Torbjorn
Her ult isn’t very good either
echo is in my list of mains!
cus shes ass (i fly off the map cause im incompetent)
#1 tip for echo is always cancel flight when you are high enough so by the time you are down it’s back up again
Great tip 👍🥰 ty
I'd say it's changing the settings To enable Hold to fly
idk why, but most times she glides automaticly even if I have the setting off
As an echo main im glad someone is giving her the recognition she deserves
Im not coz they gna nerf her 😭😭

Wait is Mei and Sombra a common duo cuz those are my two go to dps. Sombra having been my main for the longest, learning Mei afterwards.

i'm a support main, but when i do play dmg, i love echo. i know the frustration, believe me. despite that, she's so much fun even though i'm not comp ready with her. i think your ending opinions are pretty fair, but i love playing with her despite it all. i wish more people picked her, but also i will say with her ult, it can be hard sometimes when the enemy team has a lot of characters you're not familiar with, like as soon as the other team is just snipers and a ball, i normally switch unfortunately lol. glad to see her getting some love though, maybe i'll have the courage to play her in comp this season 😊
Agreed very fun, and good luck in this season with comp 🥰 you got this 👍
thank you! any good luck to you on your next venture if you do another 10 hr video ☺️

😂 even trade 🥰
Can't bealive this man has only 4k subs with this quality of videos. Keep up the great work and I know you will get to the top 500 in overwatch and to top 10 of ow cc's.
I appreciate that! 🥰
Kiriko and Bap can do the same without using Suzu or lamp, although it's a bit riskier with those two.
what I didn't think she had such a low pick rate because me and my friends legit fight over who gets to play her each round
😂
