I just flew today for the first time and you were definitely a part of my inspiration! Holy cow was it incredible, these videos are always great but doing it yourself is an unmatched experience!
Have loved the videos for years now, Tucker! I've thought this was the coolest way to fly since I saw my first paramotor in Phoenix over 20 years ago, but now I'm ready to do it myself, and you renewed my inspiration for sure. Fly Safe and Have Fun!
Have you ever thought of chasing a scenic steam locomotive with your para motor sometime.? Just I'd throw it out there. There's a few of them in Pennsylvania.
Always wondered about paramotor CRW.. That was as close as I’ve seen! Since your doing some adjustments on my new paramotor I’m 6’0 and 200. 😂 keep up the fun!
An idea Tucker, get a sound system rigged with some good speakers on the paramotor, then come into land dead stick/motor off, with Flight of the Valkyries playing!
Btw imo you’re home unit is probably the perfect size for normal humidity at 99° where you’ll keep it 70-72° to feel the same temp as 75-76°. You just happen to life in a low humidity area which obviously creates much lower load.
I'm a disable veteran & I'm saving up for a paramotor & I can't wait to fly lol, I already did 14 solo skydives & I'm former AIrborne so being in the sky is fun for me lol
As always a GREAT analysis. I am an OLD DUDE with old knees BUT, I still loves the videos where you are scooping in and out of various terrain scenarios. Somebody with surely have a great butt fan set-up after the drawing. Congrats on becoming a dealer for such fine world class gear Mr. T. Stay safely RISKY my far above average source of perfect viewing entertainment!
I noticed that the strap from the harness to the carabiner is hood in differently that my macfly. Maybe that’s y the weight- shift isn’t as good. I have my strap running between the acro arms instead of of the out side
Not a fan of the net design, too easy for items to "push" through it, since the strands are not attached to each other. Otherwise seems like a nice machine. I'm curious, though, about the aerodynamic torque compensation. I recall some issues between Scout and Nirvana over their implementation. Then again, there were those "virus" vanes that you attach to the net that seem to have disappeared from the market also... Just intrigued by it all, really. I think aerodynamic torque compensation should be free to be used by all makers, I don't consider it to be a "novel" enough concept to have been granted a patent on it's own... 🤷♂
You should do break down time... how long it takes to breakdown / set up. Thats something very few people do but that could be a sale point for some people who need to break down their cages to fit in a car/suv back of a truck. I would assume w/out pulling the prop off as they make quick connects but getting the cage apart/rolled up. Which is the easiest/ fastest? I always wonder that. I know the scout is a bit of a pain with the carbon spars.
@@mark675 the only company that I've seen that says anything about breakdown/build time is gravity paramotors. Specifically the defiant. And that was give or take 5 minutes to disassemble. I think it'd be worth mentioning on a "review" not everyone has a van or a truck to throw it in the back. And if you plan on traveling anywhere with it I certainly wouldn't want it haphazardly strapped in the bed of my truck for the elements to do whatever. A few videos ago he was asking for ideas, he asked for ideas before "giving" this motor away I gave my opinion. It's up to him to read the comments and decide if it's worth his time. Giving away something you have to have a special carrier for or a truck is about the same as "giving" away a new car that you get stuck paying the taxes on. I also know that there's companies that ship with shipping bags that specifically fit every piece, cage/netting, prop bags, ect that keep everything together. Replying with "they're all a pain unless you buy xxxx" is just lazy. I don't know why you'd reply when there's a couple companies that pride themselves on ease of transporting. Lol Thanks for your nonhelpful reply lmfao
@jlo7770 yeah you like giving your opinion don't you, shame no one wants to hear it lol Just get to the field earlier and leave time to setup, you probably don't even fly 🤣
Oh my goodness, I could tell how good it was because of how well functioning, and smooth it was up in the air, it’s beautiful. Thanks for doing a review on it,
I’m so excited for this new giveaway, I just ordered the 3 new shirts. I’m having my wife order more stuff for me tonight I want all the chances to win lol. I love watching these older videos. You’re doing an awesome job doing giveaways Tucker I know that people really appreciate it.
Tucker can you please explain how to enter to win without buying something on your website ? It says on your website that buying merch doesnt improve your chances of winning ??
Tucker your such an amazing person doing these giveaways and changing lives and making peoples dreams come true. What better than watching your videos and you inspiring us and then you do a giveaway and change someone’s life. That’s truly amazing.
hi Tucker, great video as always. As a big guy (250 pounds at 6'), I'd be very interest in a video covering how size (weight and height) affects gear and other stuff in this hobby. I've been looking into getting in, but I have concerns about my size and it's keeping me back. cheers!
You should talk to an instructor. The manufacturer tells the weight range that the wing is designed and tested for. this weight range is the all up weight, it include everything: you, motor, harness, fuel, wing... Some wings are designed to carry 2 persons and a very heavy motor. There are paramotor wings big enough to carry the heaviest person on earth.
No problem. I am 230lbs 6’5”. I fly a Parajet Moster 185 with Spyder3 - 28. Wing is on the weight limit, but i have no issues. My local field is very short, but i get out easily. Great advantage with being heavier is that everyone struggles to keep up.😊 although fuel consumption is a bit above the manufacturer’s quoted average. Probably could have done better with Parajet factory R & 1.4 prop, but I’m a novice so don’t think it really matters much at this stage.
Has anyone ever put snow skies on a trike like big bertha? lol i think that could make some great content. Obvious under very safe design and testing....
Ok. How the heck do I go about trying this sport!!!! It seems inherently safe in that your chute is already deployed! 😅 I know that's wrong but is there some way to use a parachute designed for chickens!?! So that pretty much nothing can go wrong? Damn. I want to try this! I'm 60 years old but fairly spry and athletic if I don't mind saying so. Lol. 😊
What if we combine a paramotor and an ebike with integrated controls. You need not carry the weight of the engine or the glider when you land and just cycle away wherever you want!
As long as you are physically able. Powered paragliding is often considered an old man's sport, as a significant amount of people who are retired end up picking it up. I have flown with people over 60 before. There is also wheeled versions if your legs/knees aren't great.
Tucker I've had a busy life over the last year and haven't managed to keep up with your videos for about 6 months, you've gotten hench! My bro 😮 the hair cut too! You've changed man, fair play you're an inspiration
I feel that! Been checking throughout the day, daily… for the newest vid with the paramotor mounted to the bike! Stoked for whoever wins! Looks like a beaut of motor, cage and harness!
Hey tucker! I have been watching your videos for a dang long time and love what you do. Im 6'2 and 310 lbs so the whole Paramotor thing aint gonna work for me. However, I would love to know the airport code that you are flying from so I can hit it up in Flight Simulator. Thanks for your inspiration for people to take to the sky!
Hope I win! Hahahahaha. My boss got in to paramotoring last year, and now I'm hooked to get one myself. SO damn cool and incredibly freeing. Can't wait to get up in the sky!!

You could test how much power/climb the spars steal. Would be interested. One of the reasons slalom pilots don't use them.
The power lost for aerodynamic compensation would probably be more or less equal if it is spars on the cage or braking the wing on one side.

How hard is it to make a proper cage net that covers all areas? Also at 4.57sec your hand goes way too close to the prop...
