I fly the EuroFOX to Lukesfield in Kent for some modifications and servicing and attempt my first unaccompanied zone transit through Southampton Airspace.
Thank you for watching & commenting 😊👍🏼 Sadly every video I have posted has attracted negative & critical comments. I have chosen to hold all comments for review to try & discourage the trolls. Crazy times we are living in 🤷🏻♂️
@@FlyingDarkLord Indeed. I am building a Pietenpol and bureaucracy dictates that I have to put her on a diet for weight class. I had a Jab 430, but was not allowed to train on it. I was told I need to get PPL on a 172 first. Spinning wheels for trim and grabbing a 1966 Anglia steering yoke is not me. I think I will just get the Piet legal and fly it illegally. Greetings from South Africa with its wide open and desolate terrain.
Great video! We all make small mistakes, the important thing is you corrected immediatly. And i absolutely agree on the autopilot - the EuroFOX is hands and feet on all the time - if you need to eat or drink you can’t get let go of anything - i know :) Have a great spring and summer and keep the videos coming ;)
Another super video Dark Lord 👍 It’s said “A good pilot’s always learning “……. And you said you learned from that, so top marks !👌 Exciting time for you guys, and totally get the autopilot idea too. I followed you to the east, thought you were going to Headcorn at first. Hope the upgrade went according to plan. Keep ‘em coming, sir. Captain Ray 👨✈️
So true! I learn so much from watching myself fly & the decisions/mistakes I make. Equally I pick up some amazing tips from other pilots… every day is a school day! 😄👍🏼
Great video! Nice sunny day:) Thought you did great with ATC (Air Traffic Control) especially for first time with no CFI (instructor)! Thank you for sharing your journey!
I do enjoy your videos. I thought your RT was excellent, a lot better than I usually hear when up and about. The distraction was an excellent learning curve, something I believe we all have to suffer now and again, but all the better for it. That’s not the easiest airspace to transit, and a great confidence booster. Well done for taking it on, especially the transit whilst on you own. It’s a shame we didn’t see you arrive, but you do now have me looking out for your next episode 👌👏👏👏
I've flown into Spire View a couple of times this week after being invited by Mark and what a fantastic airstrip it is. I might see you there for a chat as I intend going there often after such a warm welcome. Great videos, we'll have to compare notes with camera and editing techniques. Cheers, Jim.
Every flight is a learning experience one way or another. We all have the same RT doubts but your were fine and I have heard a lot worse. I have said it before but I do like you camera angles. 👍😎
My track was a dead straight line west to east between Bishops Waltham & Heathfield which fortunately kept me out of any active airspace… baby steps for me! 😉👍🏼
Distractions unfortunately usually happen on take-off (lose articles..even after checking, arrive from nowhere) Could not read your ASI but based on the climbing picture I was surprised the speed was low. The radio work I thought was excellent (I'm Jealous) Don't you just hate when you are hit with a squawk (Southampton) before passing details. In my view, Farnborough did it correctly. As pilots, we often beat ourselves up with our radio work... perhaps the paid guys we talk to could be more consistent. Love your vids.
64 knots for best angle but when I glanced down it was under 60 knots 😳 I won’t do that again!!! 😔 Thanks for your encouragement & support & also for watching, much appreciated 😊👍🏼
Sadly I am not brave enough to work in the conditions suffered by the EMS… I’m a Doctor and therefore remain in the safe, comfortable and warm environment of the hospital or my surgery 😔
I’m seriously jealous! That sounds sooooo cool! 👏🏼 It’s hard enough keeping people alive in optimal conditions so I have utmost respect for you all doing it in dangerous and adverse environments… my hat off to you sir, big respect 👍🏼
@@FlyingDarkLord Thank you. It has highs and lows (no pun intended). I've been in HEMS for 25 years. Last summer during the height of the Delta variant I was quite ready to walk away and go deliver packages for Amazon.
Great video as always! A quick question: you seem to be fairly tall. I’m 194 cm and am having trouble fitting into my flight club’s Atec Faeta 321 NG.. the canopy touches my head 😂 How is the EuroFox in that matter? Leg room and head room?
I am 183, so you are definitely taller, however, as you can see I still have plenty of head clearance in the EuroFOX & I’ve never felt cramped with leg room. I would say that a ‘heavier’ set individual may struggle with the side-by-side space. I’m 82kg & am more than comfortable. I hope that helps 😊👍🏼
@@FlyingDarkLord Definitely! Thanks for taking the time to answer! I’m heavier, but the weight isn’t so much the issue, it’s more that my head touches the canopy 😂 Hoping there won’t be any turbulence on every flight 😂 Suddenly my head is outside the canopy 🤣
So sad. All the regulations and necessity for long disclaimers. Thank you for posting. You are a true aviator and a gentleman.

No where seems free of needless bureaucracy these days 🤦🏻♂️
South Africa is a beautiful country though 🤩

Mistakes are a good learning opportunity, I can almost hear the voice of my instructor screaming at me!!! 😄
Thanks for watching 👍🏼 more to follow!…

Thanks Captain 👨🏼✈️👍🏼
Just stumbled on your channel. I follow several flyers and it’s nice to view the English countryside and other ways.
Thanks 😊👍🏼
Excellent video. Looking forward to some transits myself this summer. You did great!
Thanks Steve! 😊👍🏼 Good luck, you can’t do worse than I do 😳😬! 😄
You can always learn something from these videos. Pilots learn something everyday.

Also close to the double century too I see !! 😬
Did well with that too.
I know right!!! But you were here first! 😉👍🏼😄
I guess you must have had to route North of Gatwick and South of Biggin Hill how was that for you busy airspace in those parts ?

@@FlyingDarkLord I will! Not so many EuroFoxes here in Norway, but I will try to get to one!
