i had more than 30 Black Lion Statuettes stored in my bank just in case an outfit that i lked became available and yesterday i bought the Fallen balthazaar outfit that i have always wanted ever since i finished the POF story
now my human reaper looks awesome
Great minds think alike! I've been hoarding mine for ages waiting for the Bloodflame Sword to come back. I think I was lucky enough to get the Fallen Balthazar Outfit from a chest a while back. It's such a sweet outfit!
I just bought the same bro, im a charr sorc and light armor is the worst and being a catalyst hammer elementalist i need a best looking melee weapon not a suit to go a party, Balthazar outfit is dope as hell and i love you can dye the lights of the outfit!
I saved 30 statuettes for a guaranteed wardrobe unlock thinking I could choose the armour piece.. I was wrong, it chooses one randomly so 30 statuettes wasted :)
Ouch! That stings about the wardrobe unlock. It would be incredible if they let you pick any skin you want. At the moment I think they are really only useful if you have the vast majority of the skins unlocked and only have a handful of hard to get/expensive ones left.

It was apparently such an important change they just really needed to drill it in haha.
I was saving a lot of statuettes for the phoenix feather torch skin. Yesterday I came back from a break and was super happy that the skin I wanted for so long was available for only 25 statuettes!! I had 85, so I was able to spend 45 on another skin I wanted too.

sorry, hope you are not offended but you sound Australian. if so, how is access to GW2 servers for you? any difference between US and EU servers? or where are your servers? in Asia? in Australia?
Not offended at all. I'm profoundly Australian haha. As far as I know most Australians play in The US servers (so do I). I do have an EU account and the ping is SLIGHTLY higher for me there. I think it depends on which part of the country you're in. Unfortunately there's no Asian or Oceanic servers. The game is still perfectly playable on our 200 ping though.
Only problem with this is that there is no way to farm statuettes its either every week u get one key and nap completion rng then ring again to get 25 statuettes which is hassle. Wish these events that give these were more often

@@hossamamin671 yes the event he spoke about is gone. Only way to get keys is 1 each week. Personal story lvl 40 then lvl 60(core story) and map completions or extremely rare drop from mobs.
I was thinking of saving mine for one of the Jade skins, eventually they will probably go down to 45 statues and while I have over 30 now with the new weekly achiev I should get enough the problem is... the Vermilion Wings are there on 30 statues T_T Gosh, do I do it or not? xD The Shimmering Aurora Cape is also there which I love but btween the cape and the wings...
Ooo that's a tough one. They're both excellent (I use the Vermilion Wings on a few of my characters as well). If it helps, you could use the Aurora Cape across all your characters so you may get some good value there. So good that you can get some Statuettes with the new weekly achievements.
@@connorconcarne Well I could use the wings on all characters too I guess, but I try not to use the same thing one each, have plently of hnince backpack and glider skins xD But yeah, tough choice lol

I’m happy they made all these skins available. The only issue is I’m not going to spend tons of money on keys to get the statuettes. I spent 20 dollars and after the weekly achievements I’ll have enough for one skin. I think I’ll get the jade tech jet pack. But there are so many others I want!
There are a few different ways to "farm" black lion keys, the most popular way is to use an empty character slot to create a new character each week, boost it to level 10 or higher with Tomes of Knowledge, which are easy to get in the game, then quickly play the first 10 chapters of the story, for the guaranteed BL key at the end reward of chapter 10. This can only be done once per account per week, but that's 52 keys per year. Another way to get keys is random drop included with map completion, for people who are interested in also crafting Legendary weapons some day, doing map completion on all of the core maps gives you 2 Gifts of Exploration, which are one of the required items for crafting Gen 1 Legendary weapons (might be required for Gen 2, or Gen 3 as well, but I have forgotten if that is true). So, you don't have to buy the BL keys with real money, although I don't mind sending Anet a bit of extra cash once in a while, since there is no subscription fee on this great game. After completing the chapter 10 story step and getting the free BL key, I sell and/or salvage all the gear on that character, and delete it, so I'll have the empty character slot to repeat this process next week.

@@elaxel1469 The human story can be completed the fastest and only takes a few minutes to complete 10 chapters, but it’s not for everyone. I just wanted to point out that BL keys can be farmed if you want.

I bought Vermillion Back and Glider. But TBH I didn't like the Vermillion Back, only the Glider is what I want from that. Luckily I have thr legendary backpack Warbringer for free transmutations.

Finally they made that omfg... I do key farms, ma completation many times and open a lot black lion chests and many times miss some skins i wanted... time to burn my 245 stattuetes :D

I don't get how people can afford stuff for 40-60 black lion statuettes, that's so much lol. Super expensive to get them with black lion keys.
Yeah the price is still fairly steep. I get my statuettes from keys obtained from map completion, weekly key farm as well as birthday gifts from multiple characters. It's enough at least to treat yourself to a skin on occasion.

If you do all the lvl 80 zones on 8 characters, you will get a lot of these statuettes + you can make new character to farm black lion keys in story mode delete character and repeat

@@Jinny-Wa you can buy patches of land that stay on your home instance and you fill them with onions etc (and also you can buy those racks for leather and cloth too)
