As Ignis mentioned in the comments: Luminescent armor (Living world season 2) is kind of out of place here as the achievements can be quite hard to complete. Apologies for that one!
With the recent change to dungeon tokens being unified, it's pretty easy to farm together the tokens needed for a full set. Just make sure you fulfill the minimum required "runs" needed in the dungeon of your choice to unlock the items to be available for purchase. Gather the tokens in your fav dungeon, it's pretty easy to find a group for most now with the influx of hordes of new steam players.
Oh absolutely, I love that change! I remember wanting to run Arah as a newbie because I had to have the heavy set from the dungeon... I had no idea what was going on in there XD Now though it's a lot better and I kinda like how you still have to meet the requirements just so you don't miss out on the story of the dungeons. Else everyone would just spam Ascalonian catacombs without seeing the rest ^^
No no no no no no It does not beat previewing each single piece in the bank while in game. For me as a veteran, that's literally what I call shopping. Once I get the things I want, then open wiki and read the acquisition tabs on each piece XD Fashion wars 2 is the greatest end game of all end game games
ah, Fashion Wars, the true endgame! Keeping in the idea of being acessible: there's an entire set you can buy (with actually good stats) from both Malchor's Leap meta (temple of balthazar) and Cursed Shore from their karma vendors. My Melandru light armor set carried me from fresh lvl 80 to fractals and wvw lvl 50 or so. Not a lot of dmg but I never died ever which is great when an entire 20 squad throw all their stuff at you lol - and looking good doing so!
Imo, for the preview armor sets, I like it better when I get to SEE the actual armor piece on my personal character. Gives better references if it looks good.
It's hard to make a saber class servant in this game because most heavy sets are not very cute. But if you want to go around asking of random people if they are your master, the banded set already fits the bill. And it's practically free.
I wouldn't really call some of these sets easy to get. For Luminescent, you need to clear all achievements from two chapters of LS2, and do the silverwastes meta several times (while making sure you're gathering the organs). Like you said, it's not hard per se, but it is a decent time commitment. Getting crafted armour would also be a hassle for someone just starting out. It's a decent commitment of gold and time if you don't have the disciplines maxed.
Season 2 is janky in so many ways that getting all the achi's is a pain. I gave up on them long ago so now there's a bunch of nearly finished luminescent collections stuck at the top of my basic collections achi's ....
I was hesitant to add the luminescent, there IS a reason I haven't completed the achievements yet myself so I will admit that one isn't too easy to get, mainly added that one for completionist sake I suppose. So you're right, luminescent is kind of out of place!
Love your videos!. Wish someone would make a more recent video showing off the cultural sets, all the ones that are out there are from 9-10 years ago and have lower video quality.
Thank you so much! I assume you mean an in depth showcase of all the cultural sets? It was something that crossed my mind while making this video. Hmm...
If I would have known this… I wouldn’t have spent 35 gold on my Marauder’s exalted. I would have worked to get the Itzel language mastery…. Thank you for this video.
It would be better if you showed the map in wide angle first and then see where we can buy it. I don't know maps well and it is difficult to understand from close angles.
@@embreis2257 Nothing done to the graphics after recording, this is how my game looks standard with the shaders. They're not flawless though, some character portraits look downright evil at times hah! But for these videos, I love them. And screenshots look pretty neat too ^^
I got the Angler's Vest (bought at Fishing Hamlet, South-east Shing Jea island). For pants I use the Elonian Leggings and then my weapon is a staff that looks like a fishing pole called Still Waters Fishing Rod, from Bjora Marches. Good luck and happy adventuring!
thank you so much for pointing out the cultural armor! The level 60 armor is affordable and can be transformed over my level 80 exotics. Sweet! I especially love the sylvari armor on my necro. Picked up a few pieces for my asura and human too.
"[...] easy sets to get [...]". "You just got 80 [...]" - yeah, who doesn't know this: you just got 80 and you have a small loan of one million gold just lying around in your inventory waiting to be used for fashion purposes.
Thank you for the comment! Yes, gold can be pretty difficult to come by, especially if you're new. Which is why I'm happy that the karma and dungeon sets don't cost any gold and can be farmed endlessly. The lower tier cultural sets are pretty cheap to start you off with as well! Other than that, there are some pretty good gold guides on youtube if you fancy more expensive sets ^^
A lot of these sets barely cost any gold aside from T3 Cultural Armors. What a weird complaint. Are we even playing the same game? 1-2 gold is more than enough to make yourself a cool looking budget set especially if you're using dungeon armors
@@tingispingis so basically you are saying a set shown in this video for let's say 1 gold per piece * 6 pieces = 1 or 2 gold ?! listen, man. I was bad at math class but are we talking the same metrics here?
