Someone Turned This Factory INTO a Giant NYC Apartment…

- This is one of the rarest NYC Apartments because it has a layout unlike anything else I’ve seen in quite some time. First of all, it has a private outdoor space, which is connected to a garden that was added to the building recently. There’s also floor to ceiling windows with insane views of New York’s most iconic buildings like the Empire state building and One World Trade.

@@D3athW1ng it’s him always been. 👍🏽
Yes! It's so dope
If the gatorade has to be locked up why would you want to spend so much $$$ on a place to live?
Because...people who shoplift Gatorade will mug you? Maybe hit you over the head with it and steal your phone? :)
Have u not seen the looters out there?? Ya i would lock up EVERYTHING..
That was my first thought. I'm not living in a neighbourhood with stores that have EVERYTHING bolted down. It's gonna be a no from me dog🤣
@@653j521 - That's a leap. Stealing Gatorade to automatically be willing to mug someone?
This stuff is happening everywhere; some places more than others, but ESPECIALLY in big cities. People are homeless, depressed, and hungry.
These are some tryin' times.
It’s NYC they made stealing legal in 2019. It’s not a bad neighborhood necessarily it’s just a trainwreck Democrat city like LA or SF or Portland or Seattle or Washington DC or Baltimore etc
Dear Cash, I now have had to enter a rehabilitation program due to your addictive NYC residential tours. My addiction became apparent when I noticed that I’d need to start watching prior Cash Jordan videos. I’d refresh my UA-cam home page which would show me an unwatched video. Then I started watching vids I’d find from your UA-cam page and sort them from oldest to newest. Last week I discovered that now I have seen EVERY vid on your page.
I say all of this to let you know what a great channel that you have. I enjoy your enthusiasm and realize that you do put an incredible amount of time into your work. Also, the time that you make for your family while juggling your business speaks highly of you. Keep up the exemplary work.
The Neptune is a famous neighborhood “hot sheet motel” it is legendary and probably the best place to catch monkey pox in Brooklyn. Great video Cash you are a rock star with the best listings .
Because I was curious: Neptune Hotel. Stay in the bustling Bushwick district of Brooklyn, just a short subway ride from NYC! Built in 1920, our hostel-style, 33 room, 3 level hotel has rooms at steeply discounted prices when you extend your stay with us! All rooms come with fresh linens, free WiFi, a TV, and in-room sinks. Clean bathrooms and shower available on every floor. Secure 24-hour reception provides a friendly and warm welcome.
LOL
I looked up the trip advisor reviews of this place and they weren't kind. Plastic on the beds, dirty sheets, windows that didn't close and shit stained communal toilets. You'd be better off sleeping at a subway station. Probably a great place to shoot a porn film though, or maybe a horror.
Aldo looking sharp, as usual. These units are really beautiful. I particularly like the Mediterranean inspired tile in a couple of those bathrooms. But it's pretty sad when you gotta lock up the Gatorade LOL
Middle class crime? :)
& he's back!
Relief!
In my 30+ years in New York, it's the first time I've seen a neighborhood so bad that they lock up the sodas...LOL!!
Come to the Bronx we will prepare you for every other borough 🤣. Even some stores like CVS, Wallgreens have NYPD in full uniform as security guards in midtown Manhattan. In high crime shoplifting areas they will lock up things that can be easily stolen and resold online. It used to be just the soaps, body wash, razors, and the oral hygiene but now everything is fair game if its easy enough to grab and run. The problem is the NYC theft law is anything under $1000 is Petty larceny and its just a Class A misdemeanor so an long as its under $1000 the thieves dont care. The best is when they bust a car window and steal the stereo. Cost the victim over $1000 to fix the damages, replace the stolen parts, plus labor, but the item stolen was under $1000 so they get away with just misdemeanor if caught.
@@janus9824 .It's like the politicians are trying to destroy the City.
Nice units and good prices, but I'm not sure that I want to live in a neighborhood where Gatorade is behind lock and key.
Gotta love Democrat run states/cities! Don't worry though, if you protect yourself from a criminal, you'll be the one facing charges. They like to victimize the criminals :D
I agree!!
This is probably the first in a long time I've seen something I'd like to live in. Cash says all that green in the view of the penthouse is nothing great but it's the selling point for me. You get to see actual nature and blue skies in New York instead of filthy, janky, graffiti covered derelict buildings! How awesome is that? I do like the 2nd two bedroom the best tho...the view is not as good as the penthouse but it's still good. The rooms are nice normal sizes and looks like an actual apartment instead of a converted hallway or utility closet. Nice looking area too. Nice, nice apartments today Cash!! (Go ahead and buy the basketball game and play with Violet... she'd love it 👍🥰).
Do I plan on ever buying or renting in the New York city area? Nope.
Do I absolutely love all of these neat apartments that you show almost every day? Yep!
Why do you and so many people feel the need to say you never plan on living in New York? There's always one in every video. Nobody cares if you ever plan on living there or not just compliment the video and keep it moving.
Ahhhh Cash! Your videos just keep getting better and better! Hope your family is doing good ☺️
I just love seeing all these different apartment styles in New York! Exposed brick and classic fire escapes, to more modern setups with balconies!
Fantastic 🤗 I want the penthouse!
This is Jackie Gleason`s ----the Honeymooners-----territory as the famous comedy series was in Bushwick Brooklyn. This apartment house is in Bushwick------not a very glamorous area by any stretch of the imagination.
Have you been to bushwick in like...the last 5 years? Or are you using your imagination to paint a picture of bushwick of what it once was?
No, not Bushwick. It was in Bensonhurst.
Is it safe in this neighborhood Cash? We have to keep our Gatorade locked up. Wow!! You know I am getting older and can't run as fast as I use to! 😳😆 But seriously, I love all the units but the penthouse sure has a really awesome outdoor space. Thank you SO much for the awesome videos, Cash. Please stay safe and look forward to all your videos. 🌷🌺🌸🌻
Bravo, Cash - good tour. 👍, 😀. Thanks, and, Cheers!
Security guy was stressed lol
I live in NYC Wow too expensive especially for this area. No wonder more people on the street. For this amount of money can buy 2 or 3 houses in a nice city even smaller. Need $ to eat, living expenses. No money to save.
Interior decorator did nice job.
Thumbs up.
Hello from Germany.
I was recommended this channel at some point (no idea why?) and look in every now and then.
By German standards, they are quite "normal" newly built flats. Living room/dining room/kitchen all in one room is almost standard here in new buildings.
However, fitted kitchens are not the norm here, the tenant or the buyer has to take care of that himself. Apart from this huge microwave (why is it so wide?), the kitchen at 5:00 looks like a typical modern German fitted kitchen, including a built-in fridge.
The flats he usually shows are terrible. They all just show the greed of the owner/landlord to make even more money. The last lightless cellar hole is rented out as a flat. It gets really bad when he shows flats that you can see were normal-sized flats when the house was built. They were then converted into 2-3 small "shoe boxes" at a rent that can only cause one to shake one's head. But the enthusiasm with which he offers his flats, which are often very old, wow!
The 2 bedroom is the best. They did stage it very well. Where they put the laundry in the penthouse made no sense. Great video.
Welcome back Cash. Nice units if u don't mind living in a very sketchy area covered in graffiti. No modern stores except for the Rite Aid. How far is the unit from the subway? He doesn't say nor the monthly HOA fee.
HOA minimum 1K a month. That's how they bleed the "owner".
all of NYC has graffiti...u become immune to it
Cash always has me wanting to move to NY. Keep up the great work, i love these videos.
Gatorade needs to be locked up...the good old gritty new york is back. Just...much more expensive
I actually had the butterfly shrimp there last night. Loved it!
I would love to see a video on how to apply for the apartments.
Yay! A new video today! :)
Excellent post!! I enjoyed viewing all these units!
I'd like to know more about the safety of the neighborhood. Having Gatorade locked up is worrisome. The units themselves are nice. I prefer either of the two bedroom units. It'd have been nice to hear the dimensions of the master bedroom in the penthouse.
I see stuff like this and think "I could move to New York and retire."
Rule of thumb: Nowhere in NYC is safe.
Not very safe!!
"I could move to New York and retire."
Bring your Brinks truck, you'll need it. There's a reason nobody moves to NYC to retire.
This neighborhood is safe. Theres a mixture between people who've lived there for years, and gentrifiers that moved within the last 3 years. Don't worry, when you walk up jefferson or Hancock, you'll start to see people that won't "scare" you...Sarcasm btw...
@@georgiasmith7615 Lol I'd rather go to a more free red state and earn more. All set with Democrats allowing criminals to walk free and get away with stealing. If you like living in an environment like that, good for you. Have fun being bankrupt with taxes from the Democrats. LOLLLL
IMHO, an apartment without in-unit laundry can't be called a luxury apartment.
@@paveladamek3502 There are apartments, or houses sold "bare" as you say. However, the would-be owners can ask the builders/developers to put in appliances according to their own taste, at extra cost.
You probably can install one in the kitchen.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the apartments. Minor point but too bad they weren't a few floors above the surrounding buildings for a panoramic view as well.
Welcome back my friend this is a beautiful apt
Wow wow wow.
I love how we got to see the floor plans for these, would love to see more to really give proper perspective of how things are laid out, and their relative sizes
I agree that Aldo is the best dressed agent in your roster, Cash! It's always good to see familiar faces. As for the properties... hmm... I'm unmoved. They're okay BUT far too much money for what you are getting, IMHO. They all just look way too pre-fabricated for my tastes. There's no character in any of them. And, these open/galley kitchens are really beginning to annoy me. $550K for that one bedroom? Then $800K for the two/bedroom and two bath? Finally, $850K for that "penthouse"? I choose; NONE OF THE ABOVE! I'd keep looking.
Once you move into a place and decorate it with your stuff it won’t be so icy looking.
@@Gizathecat2 That's very true. But, I need me a fake fireplace, interesting lighting/fixtures, heck... even an interesting crevice, just SOMETHING,, (that I did not have to pay extra for) to get me excited to drop that type of money on a place. I will give this compliment though... if the building was indeed a factory building then kudos to the architect/designer for retrofitting and reusing the structure. In that regard, it is quite successful!
@@sinash Are you being silly? The location is in a major city, that's why they are so expensive. You can't find places for cheap in any city. What did you except? Lol. Besides it's a blue state. More taxes and regulations and crime. I'd never move there myself.
@@wombat5252 the city is definitely blue but the state has not always been such. That blue city in a red state dynamic was always interesting growing up.
@@sinash - I agree 100%! We live in a big Sears Craftsman house built in 1930 (about 20 miles N of the Bronx) w/ all the original details like all the apts I/we lived in back in Manhattan, Brooklyn that were built around the same time. Those details were absolutely a selling point for us! I *need* character, not just from my décor! You’re still stuck w/ the basics that are far too generic, look clinical to me, so much grey which I like- just not everywhere! When was it decided all renovated or new builds should have all grey, even the flooring? Gimme plain old black & white, far more chic, easy for décor. Changing things would cost a small fortune in addition to the price & I’d never pay that much to live in Bushwick where they’re keeping drinks under lock & key? Nope! If you’re spending $800K or more you can afford something very nice in Manhattan. No penthouse, but I can live w/out that! We (worse case, just me🙄) plan on moving back so I’m keeping an eye on things. Won’t be for awhile due to a recent fire on the top floor😢. That made me more intent on moving back where I love… if I have to live here until I die I’ll haunt it forever😆! Crazy stuff you think of after such a close call. Age is another factor; 6.5 yrs ago I fell down the entire OG oak staircase busting half my face (no lie, ER said I was the only one who did the same & didn’t arrive DOA😳), injuries my husband got a few months prior to the fire all add up to wanting apt life w/ no bloody stairs! Love our home, everything here but I love city life far more! 🤞🙏🏼!
Aldo always shows the cool looking new buildings, I love the penthouse, it will be the right place for a lucky owner.
Rehabbed Factory Buildings are the best rentals IF
the listing agent is willing to put average utility costs for each unit
I have found it takes about 10k/unit to make any old unit even commercial "energy efficient"
You could have a whole channel on factory-rehabs
Great Video !
Hello. Noooo, if the local store has locks on all the freezer doors and a local resident is telling you the hotel is not clean it is not a safe place to go home to.
As long as my fridge doesn't have a lock on it, and my apartment is clean, I could care less about locations that AREN'T my house lol

Love your channel man, love the NYC apartment while highlighting the surrounding neiborhood videos, love your camera-editing-videography style, especially your humor. You obviously love NYC. Many of us in the rest of the country can only see a huge, crowded, dirty, too noisy crime-ridden super expensive craphole. You show the neighborhoods' positives. Well done.
Its nice to sit back, relax and just imagine living there for a few minutes. Great job bro.
Beautiful apartments!
I’ve never seen a drink cooler locked up like that before.
if they need to lock up even the gatorade do you really want to live near there?
Cash, I love all 3 apartments and would be happy living in any of them. Someone has finally got it right. I can see you and your family living there.
Way too expensive; where are child friendly parks; where are preschools, where are elementary schools, where are full service grocery stores and ethnic markets his wife likes???
Thanks!
You have a great personality! Love this video.
That Neptune Hotel reminds me of our Main Street strip hotels. Unclean and lots of rowdies meddling around. WPG, CANADA. LOL
Wonder how difficult it is to replace appliances (dishwashers, refrigerators, etc.) that are made to resemble cabinets?
The cabinet face is attached to the appliance door! Many higher end appliances are designed for cabinet panels.
I have integrated fridge and dishwasher and it's not that difficult. When you buy them, they are like normal appliances just without the outtermost layer. Then, you just remove the front cover from the old machine, replace the appliance, and reuse the same front-cover. There are some screws involved but it's not really an issue.
The only real drawback is that fridges tend to be a little smaller due to "having to fit" inside standard depth cabinets and that there might be not as many models available in store compared to normal appliances.
Everything is mostly standard. It will either be a 30" opening or a 36" opening for the range, over the range microwave, and fridge. Dishwashers are usually 24" opening. Very easy to replace all of them but counter depth fridges with bottom freezers are expensive as F...
Very nice aesthetics n classy tour🍥🍸
You are so sweet to other people! You’re an amazing salesman! Love your videos! But I can never afford to even live in New York!
That Neptune Hotel sure seems like an hourly rate "no tell hotel" to me. : )
Nice building. Enjoyed.
These are fantastic
Penthouse is my favorite 😍.
The graffiti lets you know you're in NYC, specifically Brooklyn. What a combination..trashy AND expensive.
It's art. Of course, art is in the eye of the beholder, but maybe you need to cultivate a wider view.
That is an awesome apartment unit! 😀
I really enjoy your Videos and keep up the good work
Prices . . . OUTTA SIGHT - but of course, it's New York City. I'll remain one hour up north via I-91 - New Haven, Connecticut ! 🇺🇸
These are spectacular.
Neptune Hotel is used by ladies of the night. It's been a staple in my neighborhood lol
Nice apartments. The penthouse was awesome, but my least favorite. The laundry machines should have been facing forward. Other than that (and being in Brooklyn Lol) very nice!!!
Neptune Hotel, low key hotel with bare bone rooms...yep...you are in Bushwick! things are always rough around the edges in any neighborhood of any city in the USA that has the El going thru it. WOW I would take that place in a heartbeat...nice rehab on the building. OMG!!! regular sized rooms!!!! fabulous...but they kinda lost it on the interior design space in the penthouse.....weird layouts ...esp. the kitchen
Beautiful apartments
very nice enjoy your day
Love all, but the penthouse is ace !
Another great video, thanks!
i enjoy your vids , thanx for the giggles , from a canadian
2 bedroom apartment is the best. Why put the laundry in the closet in the penthouse? Thy would be hard to change the wash.
I think any neighborhood where they have to lock up the Gatorade is a definite no.
It's gatorade lmao...not a painting at the louvre...Go to the city & you'll see the same thing. People just don't like thieves. Thieves are everywhere pal lol
That's getting to be many places these days. Theft is rampant in most stores in most cities.
Love the old style fronts and building exteriors but a great opportunity to design and build interiors different
The Penthouse laundry room has the washer dryer but the doors open the wrong direction.
That’s why they have an A rating from the Health Dept. No food inside to violate any regulations.🤣🤣🤣 Man you crack me up Cash.
What is the monthly association/maintenance fee?
$70 night shouldn't be a skid row hotel
I love the 1 bed
I don't get my new apartments in NY install tank water heaters. Tankless is cheap enough, constant hot water, and MORE FREE SPACE - important in NY.
Another great video, thanks! I don't know if you like suggestions about videos, but if you are open to ideas.....the subways. How do you know what train to take where? Do you have to pay when you transfer? They are an intimidating mystery to me.
Enter a subway station. Go downstairs to the platform. Look at the subway map. Take train to a station that serves the J train. Take the J train to Halsey Street. You don't pay to transfer trains. Many out-of-towners can find the stairs daunting in my experience.
I like the kitchen and bathroom's design!
I don’t know if I should feel bad or if people should feel ashamed… stealing Gatorade to the point where rite aid has to lock it up….
All the apartments looked great!! Not sure about the area....locked up Gatorade?? the video was perfect 👌
Is it safe to be sit out doors on the ground floor?
I was thinking the same thing! 😳🤔🙄
1:38 Forget that KeyFood, the real treasure is the Food Bazzar 4 blocks up. They usually have everything to cook anything.
2:35 Thats how you know you're in the hood. In my old area in the Bronx the CVS had the fridges, beauty supplies, and tooth cleaning items locked up. You couldn't get to them without a store worker which took forever to get to the isle after pushing the assistance button. And they had armed off duty NYPD in uniform as security guards 😂
Also curious to know what treatment did you get. Did they hand you the Gatorade so you can walk to the cashier and pay, or did they tell you they will hold the Gatorade at the register for when your ready to pay because depending on how you look you will be treated differently when it comes to these stores.
3:50 Occupant has their own hot water tank, and their own mini split heating/cooling, and all kitchen appliances are electric. ConEd is going to make a killing all year round from this occupant 😀
5:00 That kitchen is nice, looks like they went with 36" wide range/microwave combo, expensive stuff when the 30" variants could have suffice.
5:38 Whose bright idea was it to but the circuit breaker panel in the behind the bedroom door? That should be out in the living room somewhere.
6:22 AKA the smokers box so you can go outside to somke without going outside 😅
6:36 You would not believe how hard is it to get a floor plan when looking for apartments in NYC. Im currently helping a friend find and apartment and told them show me a floor plan and ill immediately let you know if you're wasting your time.
Overall for a half a million minimum to own, its actually decent!
I like how they went with what looks like power blue walls instead of the usual light feather gray walls. Trim was the usual white and they didnt cheap out on the kitchen finishes. I also liked how they used decorative panels for the fridge and dishwasher in the 1 bedroom to give it a more luxury look. A prime example of you get what you pay for instead of the chopped up overprice trash Manhattan has to offer.
The monthly maintenance cost of these units will be the deciding factor if utilities arent included. paying half a million then having a high maintenance fee wont make sense for that area.
I wonder how many of these are owned by corporations who write off the fees and cost, for use of short term employees from other parts of the world.
@@653j521 About 10 years ago I worked for a company who flew in Indians on H1B visas, put them up in cooperate apartments and trained them to do the Financial job which included tax/accounting/payrol/etc for 3 months. Then sent them back to India to do the same job remotely at a fraction of the NYC salary. Now its changed, they are bringing people from Florida, Texas and Arizona, train them for 3 months and send them back to work NYC office hours remotely from their home state with the adjusted salary of their home state through a third party company that was established in those states.
@@paveladamek3502 Depending on what type of Condo/Coop is it, some of them have utilities included. Utilities usually include Heat, hot water, gas for cooking, and sometimes electricity. On rare occasions even internet. Most of the ones I know are old builds that have heat, gas, hot water and electricity included in the maintenance are Mitchell-Lama Coops but getting one of those is a like hitting the lottery.

Locking up the Gatorade, OMG 😱! Very nice places but too rich for my blood. I love the older buildings anyway, with character! Nice neighborhood cruise, thanks! 😁

Nice units! I like how big and shine it is ✨✨✨
Love all of the apartments, but I'll take the penthouse, regardless of the price. I love having a private balcony.
It's the penthouse for me!
Apartments look great - but I can't see me coming home alone after a late evening at the theatre. Neighborhood just feels sketchy. Personally I think dishwashers are a waste of space. I'd store my dishes in the dishwasher and use the cupboards for pantry storage. Also (another personal preference) gas ranges are a must.
Unfortunately, it appears that gas ranges are on the way out.
There is nothing wrong with this neighborhood, I travel through here every...single...day. If I saw some place and automatically thought "sketchy" & "not feeling safe" all the time, I'd have a 10 foot beard and never see sunlight due to me not leaving my apartment. This isn't 1992...it's 2022 lol
@@georgiasmith7615 there's a difference in how they cook. I find that some electric stoves take forever to boil a pot of water on and all of them had a learning curve to them that made it tricky for me to know if the stove was too hot.
Also, as far as laundry, gas hook ups cost more upfront to install but are actually cheaper than the electric varieties when the bills com, which can be a huge plus. That might change though.
