Great comprehensive video of Karon Tony. I agree totally with you on the different beaches and towns,Kata,Karon for families,Patong for younger generation after the bars and girls. But all in all same same no matter where you stay,massage shops,food shops,clothing shops. So it all comes down to your preference and what your looking for. So from Kata,Karon to Patong would be about 15 minutes in a tuk,tuk and about 500 baht ?. Definitely seems to be less tourists due to the Coronavirus for that time of the year,but the prices seem about the same. The other thing to take into account would be if your on a holiday with family,say four or five. Plan a day trip, big budha,Karon view point, Central festival,Watt chalong. But maybe rent a car for two days rather than using taxis and tuk tuks. The cost of a car would be anything from 600 to 1000 baht a day. Cheaper than paying for tuk tuks and Taxis to see these attractions. Remember your international drivers license though ,as the road blocks cost you about 300,1000 baht a time if you don’t have it.

thanks for this video, I visit with my familiy already two times Karon Beach, nice to see changes, take care and looking for next up date of Karon beach after 2020.
If you take a Taxi or Tuk-Tuk in Phuket, make sure you get the ROUND TRIP PRICE! Or the price they give you will be for one way only.

Thanks for the videos Tony, I was hoping you can make an informative video on how to get around Phuket without having to rent a motorbike or car. Maybe some info on public buses both pricing and timetable and maybe motorbike taxis, car taxis and tuk tuks pricing traveling between the western coastline of phuket. This is just a suggestion if you are interested, I know that I would find a video like that useful since I heard that some forms of taxis can be quite expensive. Hence knowing about some cheaper alternatives would be good and if anyone know phuket well I think that person is you. Thanks heaps whether this video becomes a reality or not.
Hi yes that is already on my list however whilst they do have public transport here it's not quite the same as the UK, US, Europe etc and as most of the local bus drivers will only speak Thai it will be challenging to use.I will do my best to show how it is possible to use.

Just a quick note on taxi’s there are signs around that show what you should be paying for taxi’s from we’re you are to other beaches. Always ask the taxie driver how much first if they give you a price make sure it’s in line with what the signs say remember there is a reason the taxes are called the Taxie Mafia in Thailand most have Meters they don’t like using they charge dumb Ferangs extra.
Hi Tony,I always like your vids,but i thought you could have covered Karon better,I stay there reguarly and I was surprised that when you went to the Two Cheffs that you did not carry on up the street the few yards to the top and turn right and go to the famous Angus O Tools and then go down that street back onto the main street.I personaly think that the food at Angus O Tools is the best in Karon.Ps i have nothing to do with O Tools,I stay in the Centara Hotel right opposite and eat there regulary.Thank You,

As a creator it's often hard to always do place's full justice and looking back on that video you're absolutely right there are areas that I didn't cover in Karon. I will be making an updated video to go along with this one with the current situation many things have changed right across the island So stay tuned and I will do my best in forthcoming videos not to miss any parts out and hopefully improve both content and quality 👍
