Hey Richie, nothing more credible than a honest guy sharing his honest experiences... appreciate your honesty. Keep going forward and all the best to you and your family
On it, awesome. That's life. It is what it is. Not ideal weather for a holiday, but what can you do. Enjoy being alive and having breath in your lungs folks.
The rainy season started quite late this year. Our wells hardly had any water left here in Rawai. That's why I'm happy about every drop that falls from the sky. I find the storms and the aftermath of typhoons fascinating - a natural spectacle. At night I brought my animals to safety in the pouring rain. During the day I raised shelters in the aviary and for the sulcata in my garden. It's been a wet adventure over the last few days. Days when the temperature drops below 25 degrees are particularly pleasant. The older I get, the less I like the sun
We visited Phuket 2005, the year after the tsunami. Stayed at the then Crown Plaza at Karon Beach, which apparently took the main hit and there wasn't a sign anywhere that anything catastrophic had happened. All fixed up and it was business as usual. I met you both at your shop Aug 2021 and enjoyed a wonderful coffee and bacon sandwich. Hope everything works out.
Big Rain, not good but we all know you'll push through 💪 Brilliant watching and listening to your positive approach, hope to visit for one of your excellent breakfasts again soon! A refreshing approach and a real evaluation of life in Thailand. Keep at it folks!
Its all about the journey Ritchie , you're a happy lad i can see it written all over your smiley face and it's great to see . Regarding the weather this year , it's an El Nino year which causes extreme weather patterns all over the place , things will calm down soon enough .
Richie...seme in EU Italy , Poland...crasy flooding .. This year is really "wet" all over the world. But we keep fighting 💪.......and I like your honest vlog. Take care.
Over crowded, heavy traffic, dangerous roads , high amount of road deaths and accidents, high number of absalute idoits on the roads , massively inflated land and property prices that has priced out normal local Thai people from renting even a small house, They tend to rent smallrooms with just a fan. Lots of ugly condo buildings with box room's for inflated prices , lots of big ugly hotels. The list goes on. ...... Beautiful beaches and some lovely mountains . Plus some lovely people except they are mostly struggling just to get by and keep the machine running for people to enjoy as so called paradise. "It's not paradise if locals can't afford to live there"
went for a coffe at your coffeshop in juli, we enjoyed it, nice place ,will come back 😀 good coffe🙏 and we continued up to the Greenheart garden for a cocconut and the view on kata 👍 loved it . good one again Richie 👋
Keep the good work going Richie I can imagine it’s tough starting a business in such a faraway place but Maybelles Coffee Shop looks beautiful and the food looks amazing good luck with the business 🤞🤞🔥🔥🔥
Nice one Ritchie. Just a quick Google search, says, September is infact the wettest month of the year! So it's feet up for now and high season just around the corner 👍
A few years ago I spent 2 weeks I Phuket in September. It did rain, but it was no impediment as the showers were short and heavy. In September this year I went back, the first few days were OK, then it started raining, oh boy, did it rain,. I left for OZ on the 20th and was glad to leave for the first time I my 20 plus trips there.
Hi Richie - Just love the honesty and your total transperency. No BS and glamour content. Keep up the good and hard work. All the best from DK to you and your little family- /Chris&Tip
Hello Richie and Maybelle, I will be in Nai Yang soon and hope I can get down south to have a coffee? Keep up the good work, especially weather updates please.😎
Hi Richie and Maybelle really enjoy your videos..I'm just back today from kata and kamala etc and although it was disappointing rain wise at least its warm and you get breaks in it . I took a spin up to you and I see the problem you have alright flooded at the front so the job will be bit bigger than expected but I'm sure you will face the challenge head on . Best wishes and every success with your ventures and of course new baby. Love from Ireland Pat
You have got some big balls…relying on Thai people to take care of you when you’re old, I hope you give your kids a good education…plus they’re becoming a lot like the kids in the west…I chose to live in Thailand only half the year due to its constant changes…good luck man! I’m rooting for you!
I lived in Phuket for a very long time and you have to adapt to the seasons and the seasonal variations otherwise you lose .you need money to live well it’s a fact.it’s a constant changing environment due to weather variations
Good video Richie I appreciate the info. Keep up the good content. I definitely look forward to check out Phuket Thailand 🇹🇭 and checking the gyms on fitness street in Phuket 😎💪
Richie - how are you dealing with the influx of Indian, Russian and Chinese tourists? I have seen other UA-camrs moving out from phuket for that reason. Traffic and lack of infrastructure. Is it real ?
Richie haven'seen any new videos updates from you for a month. Last few videos you shared your struggles of business, finances and family . Thanks for showing that there is no dream life in paradise ! hope you and mabelle are OK ?
Ohh I know your videos are a bit behind the weather expected sat and Sunday is the new massive monsoon is due to hit you guys this weekend , stay safe and sand bag your resteraunt please 😊
Hi Richie, first I have been watching your videos for years. You have passed along a ton of good information, you have entertained me many times, you have honestly shared when problems have occurred without sugar coating it! As a past business owner who went through the ups and downs of things in the 80's and 90's, then losing my job of 15 years as an employee of a major organization during the pandemic. I have appreciated your sharing. I am older than you, 67 now, was living in Patong when the Sunomi hit! I am coming back to retire in Patong soon. After 20 years of living in Las Vegas (the desert!) I love walking in the rain on a beach, don't care how hard it is raining 😂!!! My mother was English from Gloucester I spent plenty of time in rainy weather. That and the ocean calls to me! I would share 3 things after having lived in Patong back in 2004 1. Rent a place at least 2 full city blocks from the beach 2. At least second to fourth floor so you don't have to worry about getting flooded out and still low enough to climb the stairs when the power goes out and no elevator! 3. As a retired person I see absolutely NO reason to buy, build any property, vehicle or motor bike. I walk everywhere for exercise and the few times I need a vehicle hire a driver and car. People seem to want to complicate things for themselves. The key to Thailand at my age is simplify things instead. Try to live like a Thai person not a westerner living in Thailand and you really will be much happier! Anyway thank you Richie I will definitely be at your place of business in the future! I strongly believe in supporting small businesses instead of Starbucks or McDonald's, etc when staying in Phuket. Hope to see you around November/December. My best to you and your family. Amada buddha bless 😁
Having to work to survive here, I couldn't imagine it. Not having to work and survive here, life is quite easy within reason. Now, after visiting Phuket, not a chance in hell I would choose to live there. Not sure how you do it. I'd need to go get a second pension just to make it there and my current is a substantial amount in Thailand. I think it's double, if not two and a half times as expensive as Pattaya.
We were in that restaurant on beach, were the road has been washed away twice recently……the restaurant etc can be fixed but feel for staff with no income😢
Nice 1 Richie !! Having been there a couple of times in Sept, I can totally agree with your summary of this time of year... Still prefer the rain over a boring 9to5 life though
Hey Richie hope your well still in rural Thailand rescuing dogs ,well 2 and abit, still vlogging life in issan, but weather wise not too bad no flooding at all Still vlogging on my channel micks thai travels love the people and the peace but loads of great places to discover here near khon kaen Anyway hope all family good and safe , bet you are looking for end of rainy season You don't want a dog do you took in another one but I'll get it a good home but getting attached See you soon
No private pension! I presume you know that for Thailand the UK state pension is frozen from the time you left the UK and you will have missed out on some big rises? Hope you've got some good back up plans for the future.
You can answer that yourself how old are you, you don't say how much income your pension is a month gives you so how can someone say have you got enough to live here
Hang in there Mate! Sometimes we eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats us. Part of life but not many places on Earth can compare to how much of an upside it can be getting through a tough time like in Thailand. Kiss that beautiful family for me!
G'day Ritchie, it might be my tin foil hat state of mind but there's been lots of cloud seeding in Thailand. I've noticed a lot of cloud seeding here in Australia, hence all the flooding. There was an agreement by governments around the world after the Vietnam war, that cloud seeding wouldn't be done during conflicts because of the damage that was done to civilians. But that doesn't mean that governments can't do it in their own countries. Conspiracies are real man😮
sorry to hear that ,Thailand is having a bad wet season not great ,,mind you sure Uk can give it a run for its money rain wise wet dark and depressing old UK do you miss it
Thanks What do you thing Off New DTV visa ? We my daughter and I will arrive middle January and stay LT in Phuket Maybe travel to Bulgaria or other Asia Country from July to October but is it not rain season in hole Asia region these months? Do you encounter snakes or other jungle insects we shall you out for ?
Hiya Richie Wow I didn’t realise how bad it was, hope you and your family are alright? Been a silent viewer from start! Me and missis is coming in December for 4-5 weeks, is Phuket better than Pattaya for Christmas 🎄 and New Year? Also can you send me a link or advise me on your rental properties please. Stay safe!! Pay nation insurance for 35 years to get your full state pension in the uk maybe you might only just make it to that age I left the uk to live in Thailand at 46 paying 30 years national insurance enough for me
I love Thailand and would love to live there, but my business, investments and assets etc are here in UK that make me live a comftable life, Id move to Thailand in a heart beat, but always told in business in Thailand you want to make a million pound, arrive with £2million.😮
@@MurrayWards im working on it👍im 38 years old, so plenty of time, every year when me and the wife visit Thailand, we sit there the last few days thinking of ways to make a passive income so we can.move there.

Traffic is like india
Move to HuaHin better
So you westener are allowed to visit but not the Chinese,Indian and Russians?
Chinese culture is very important part of Thai culture and the Chinese were here way before than your westeners
@@ruichen1141yes that is correct, just westerners as we are far superior and spend a lot more money in Thailand than those other Cheap Charlie’s.
Where you been richie? You haven't posted in a while, howz the weather? Its miserable here in the UK as usual, hope all is well. 👊🏽
planning on being there near end of November. Hopefully this has improved by then.
