You really are handy and talented and have such a passion for creating animal habitats. You should start a business doing exactly that. Help people with this kind of build. It’s beautiful and I can’t wait to see it with live inhabitants!
If you add plants or moss it'll dampen a lot of the water noise, or at least help a little. The branch works but I do think adding moss would help and make it look even better. This has come a long way since you started, and I can't wait to see what it looks like in the end.
You are the real King of DIY! If you connect your pump with a Y-connector instead of a T-connector you loose less pressure. Fast moving water hate 90° turns.
"then the light from the top will hit me straight into my head" - We love you Petko never change for anyone! sorry a small tease but you made me smile and it will last a week. A sofa would be nice, make sure it's comfy so you can have a nap on it the waterfall should be relaxing.
Wow... SO MUCH work, passion and love have flown into this project. I'm pretty sure the future inhabitants are going to LOVE it! ^^ It's an amazing project... great job!!
1:40 YOU my friend have such a magnificent active mind! You're really thinking of EVERYTHING when it comes to the enclosure. Top, bottom, middle, inside, outside, here there and everywhere...😅 No but seriously this finished product came out perfect. And because you are so critical of yourself I can bet you have some things that you are not all the way happy with....(yet)!!!
Definitely a smaller pump required as when you increase the water level in pump section the pump will pump more. As there will less "head" pressure against the pump. Another way to regulate flow is have a second valve in your main line... Loving your videos Petko! Frog enthusiast here from New Zealand.
petco if you put the water flow tubes directly touching rocks then that will reduce the sound and the part with the heavy flow put a rock in that space that will also spread the water out a bit and reduce the sound. but amazing job just love the whole project.
Looks amazing! If you have issues with the wood, PVC sheets or HDPE, while a bit more expensive, is lighter and longer lasting and may be better for some of the areas that need sealed. Melamine MDf is good and cheap but heavy as hell and a single scratch and you've got expansion, mold etc. Hopefully the seals hold, and they look like they will, but just mentioning in worst case. Great job!
Oh Petko, I ginuinely love your channel. You make us laugh. You make us think, you like to have fun in so many interesting ways. You can tell you are an excellent friend to the people who are lucky enough to call you one. You make great, interesting, excellent videos. I love your channel. You take excellent care of your animal family. You work hard. You think hard and it shows. Great, great work man! ☺️
I solved the noise problems in my setups with different local mosses under the impact of the streams. Works as a filter to 👍 Love your work man. Keep it up champ
Petko...this has been an amazing journey to watch you work on and you've certainly inspired me when thinking about my next rehouses for my own T's and centipedes so thank you. Oh btw...the sound of your waterfall is an amazing sound of nature that I could listen to all day!! Love and light to you and your family Petko, I cannot wait to see your finished project!
Nice, if you're going for a natural look, you might consider adding some river gravel to the pooling spots, and some moss in places near the water edge.
Hey man! Saw your video on my Recommended page. Your hobby is very interesting! The way you handle these spiders and such makes them less terrifying. Oh and looking forward to the finished enclosure you're currently working on, no doubt it'll look fantastic! I subscribed!
You need to fill it all the way to see how it's going to behave. Also, try using decomposed granite and pebbles instead of dirt. The right plants will still root through the granite and pebbles. Moss will also stick to the rocks once it sets in. Only use animal friendly minerals for the fertilizer. You will add it to the water and make sure your chemistry is good. I will admit I'm a little concerned about the long term integrity. The plaster like any kind of cement board will help moisture travel. Thats why cement board never gets installed under a shower pan and is always painted with sone kind of latex water sealer like redguard before installing tile. Any moisture will eventually rot the bottom out and you probably won't know it until its too late. Once the leak starts the base is already rotted. I wouldn't have used plywood and foam. Metal framing, chicken wire for the mold and then plaster. Like the do in the zoo. You also could have had a custom shower pan made for the bottom. I absolutely love your enthusiasm and willingness to dive in. I hope it works out! Also check out Camp Kenon. That enclosure you made is tiny. You should see his water monitor's enclosure. Amazing! Slinky is a spoiled lizard.

Damn the song @13:52 caught me! Great Video, love your idea of that junglearium! It will be very cool.
Wow that’s looks great. It’s going to be such a nice jungle habitat. I think it will flow better when it’s at the water level you want it at. Can’t wait for the next update.
Wow! Nice work! It's starting to come together. I can't wait till you get it finished. It will probably take a while cuz it takes time to work out all the bugs, but I am sure it will be awesome. Keep up the good work! 🕷❤
awesome build so far , i got a terra with water feature and fish too (not nearly a quarter of your size tho), the waterflow will change over time because of alge and erosion of the water path so dont worry too much about it ;) cant wait to see the enclosure finished and filled with life
Very nice work. The more you fiddle with the waterfall the more it will turn into something you will like and better than you first imagined it wood look liked. Have fun with it.
Nice enclosure! I think you got it wrong regarding power consumption. When you reduce flow in an permanent magnet motor. Power draw will decrease as well.
First time coming across your channel...I admit I'm scared to touch spiders but find them beautiful and fascinating...I like your enthusiasm for your friends:)
I don't know about this so far to be honest. It reminds me of the saying "Measure twice, cut once". But designing this giant tank corner by corner, pulling rocks from other tanks as you are going. It doesn't really show that you have done necessary preparations for such a big project. Maybe it'll work out fine. It did for the other larger tank with the spiders, looked really good. But this little waterfall feels very artificial in the way the rocks blend together. There doesn't seem to be much flow to it. I would have done some hardscaping without gluing them all in place.

You should install camera's inside and make a 24/7 terrarium livestream
This is such a sick idea brooo
Oh boy that would be awesome!
whats he going to keep in that enclosure ?

I love how petko learns as he goes and doesn't edit out any mistakes. It looks awesome 👌
His editing is masterful & he really picks up on what people like to see & with excellent balance 👌😁

This has come a long way since you started, and I can't wait to see what it looks like in the end.
You need to get a ventilation system or mold is gonna go crazy in there
Awesome project!
3:52 omg this shrug like "yeah, whats the problem" rly got me :DDD
XD

Please remember with time everything will quieten on its own, and then with the doors closed, it will be calming!

What!!!! So much precision and planning went into this!! I absolutely love it

You did a really good job building that enclosure. I can’t wait until it’s finished and planted .
Love it! Moss can also help soften the flow! Just an idea, I love how it looks so far!
This looks absolutely amazing! Whoever ends up living in there is going to love it!
for your noise complaint, keep in mind once you add more decor and plants, itll dampen the loudness
This is looking very exciting and promising. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I have been waiting for that corner of The New Dark Den to be done since about 2020 😅 glad to see it looking as good as it does
