I Watched this video 4 years ago when i brought my first android phone the lg optimus one p500 couldn't wait for this phone to arrive so i kept watching videos about it for 2-3 days if i remember. Even remembering leaving school just to go get the phone at lunchtime as it arrived
I have this phone 4,5 years and is unbreakable. Some times i still used them.

This was my second phone. I got this phone in early 2012 as I liked the look of the white one. Looking back, it probably was a dumb choice in 2012, but I still had good memories with it.
Shame LG stopped making phones. This one was great.

@krige I cannot do a comparison as I no longer have the Orange San Francisco, but this is much better build quality.

I can't believe you didn't mention it has live wallpapers! Plus it has a virtual portrait Android keyboard as well. Sure it's not a hyperphone, but it's a great piece of tech for the money you're paying. Since I broke my last phone, I've been looking to buy something new and since I'm only a poor college student, this sleek looking LG seems to be what I'm buying next. Froyo, 3D gaming, small handset, thousand other cool things for 235 Euros (unlocked)... I'm sold! Thanks for the great review.

@UlikazuTV I would opt for the LG if build quality is important, but the ZTE for better performance (slightly).

@paulomanful Anything that draws data when you are out of the house and not on wifi. So GPS, some games that you play online etc.

This is a nice telephone, i bought it 3 years ago and its still in a good shape! But a bit laggy, nice sound, graphic, wallpapers, not a really good camera ( 3.0 MEGA PIXELS), but still you can film and take photos, contacted with Google, some times internet problems, you cant give threw bluetooth songs to your friends, only MMS!

@raquasa80 If you are connected via wifi it is free, if on 3G network you will be charged or it'll come out of your data allowance.
Call quality at both ends which phone is better? The HTC Wildfire or the LG Optimus?

I have this phone and I love it. I find that LG phones last for like 3 years.

i've had it for 2 years .I had to take it to the repairman bc it just turned off and didn't turn on again. The second time it happened again but this time it just sat without a battery on for about 5 h and it started working again. I liked it at first but now? Not so much.

This phone is awesome. Better than almost all other phones. Only problems for me are the battery dies quick

This thing was the greatest about two years ago when I had it, very durable but now fairly outdated by many LG and Android/Apple smartphones.

@davomrmac if you mean wallpapers that scroll along with the pages with the apps on them, then yes, the p500 does support that. I've seen it in another video ;)
@OsafuneKurisu that is so true.. this phone is superb. From my point of view no other phone (the new ones) is able to replace this phone considering the performance and features at that price.

@MrVbdude Yeah there is a GPS function with Google Maps that you can use but you need a WiFi connection or 3G data transfer connection which is really expensive if you don't have a contract with your operator. It works pretty well and you can download other GPS apps for it if you want to. There is also a built in 'car mode' function that is quite useful.
Great, crisp clear elucidation from yr explicit review which I appreciate VERY much mate!!! :) My 1st visit on yr review as i was contemplating this model to that of the HTC Desire HD. No experience for me on Android hence yr review here on this model is most helpful to decide to skip this for sure given the lower attributes of the phone. I'm going to look up on the HTC & hope U have it covered on that HD model... cheersch mate & will subscribe to yours as well. :)

Im watching this with my new LG optimus one :) my comment for this phone --- This phone may not be fast like iphone 4 or 4S, But this phone can still do the job like iphone. For the people who just want to experience the andriod, then i would totally recommend this :D
