- A video review of the LG Optimus T Android smartphone on T-Mobile. The LG Optimus T runs vanilla Android 2.2 on a 600MHz CPU. This is currently the most affordable Android smartphone and it sells for $29.99 with a 2-year contract. It has a sharp and bright 320 x 480 capacitive multi-touch display, WiFi, Bluetooth and a GPS that works with Google Maps and TeleNav. It has a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera, and it comes in two colors, titanium and burgundy.

@virginl337 OK. Perhaps you got your T-Mobile press releases on different dates than we do. We received the press announcement for the LG Optimus on Oct. 6th, and the press release for the LG Comet on Nov. 1st.

Man this was my first phone. Great times! Now I have an iPhone 12. Kinda miss android.
I just got this phone today, as my first cell, and it is amazing. I love the finish, size, and ease of use. I was also able to get for free, I guess it was some limited time deal. Oh great phone, and great review.

The LG Optimus T, my first ever Android Device I ever used when I was in 1st Grade (Did not use it as a phone), but my first Android Phone I used as a phone was a Second-Hand AT&T Galaxy S4 from my Dad in 2017 (bought new in 2013). My dad used a Motorola Atrix 4G at that time as his Smartphone, and some low-tech fliphone as his main phone.. My current phone is a AT&T Galaxy Note 9 (Bought New Old Stock This Year). My Parents Current Phones are also Note 9s from AT&T, but bought brand new in 2018. And my Dad current uses a lower spec main smartphone (aside from the secondary Note 9), which is an AT&T Motivate. The phone I had right before this Note 9 was a Galaxy J7 2018 (SM-J737A), which I first owned since 2019 to replace my S4. As of now, it's a damaged phone, so it no longer works. And I know the Note 9 is ALREADY 4 years old, but it's still relatively up to date, and I like it A LOT better than those GALAXY S21 AND S22 PIECES OF CRAP THAT LACK A FREAKING SD CARD SLOT!!! And I still frequently use 3.5mm Headphone Jacks nowadays, even though I also like Bluetooth in other aspects. I did use an iPod Touch as my first Mobile Smart Device before the LG, and my dad was also using an iPhone 3G before the Motorola.
I just bought this phone and it's incredible!
I had to choose between this and the samsung dart. I chose the dart because of the speakers, the feel, and the call quality. I would've taken this for the camera, graphics, and looks.

Yes, you can connect to wifi on a regular plan - don't know about prepaid.
@itzsupadupafly It means it will detect if you are in the light or not. if you are it will make the screen less bright and if your in the dark it will make the screen brighter.
Hey lisa. im a very big fan of yours and i would really loke to know something or everything about the expensive Vertu Constellation and all about those expensive phones, im looking forward for that review.

actually there is a widget you tap it and press disable and then u can use wifi

u dont need data plans for wifi because the wifi is installed in the phone

@MrDJKaram you can do everything on wifi. i dont use the 3g at all because i always have a good wifi connection
@eliyrod11 I got it off of the T-mobile prepaid lineup for $150.00. Which means my contract didn't get disturbed and i get on the internet using wi-fi for now. Since the phone wasn't bought under contract, carrier internet is not mandatory. T-mobile internet can be added and deleted month to month without penalty. ***but to get internet in those places where there isn't wi-fi choose the T-mobile internet for $10.00 a month which gives 200mb ***

@MrKhalifa24 Like a signature when texting? Well the stock Messenger you can't but I, and many many others, downloaded "GO SMS Pro" and its the full version for free and you can do soooo much more with that Messenger then the stock messenger, Including a signature.

@MobileTechReview I just got the lg optimus t and for some reason my data keeps going down, when on the net it doesnt really have a close out box so when i leave the page i never really know if i exited the page. What is the proper way to do that because the user guide doesn't help?

dear MOBILETECHREVIEW, this is my first smartphone and im getting it without data plan cuz all I needed was really a easy to use, touchscreen phone thats light weight and holds alot a space. I am getting this without contract and im bidding on it on ebay for 64 bucks is that good deal?thx

the volume control of lg optimus t change when you have flip your phone.. my os was change and it was gone .. how to restore that setting .. my os is android 2.2.2

I want access to my email, I want 3G connection to use the internet when I want to, and I want ease in texting, that's pretty much all I ask of a phone. I am very pleased with the Optimus T, it really was a lot more solid state than I thought it would be.
