My first android phone. I was so in love with it. I was still a student back then... Now I am working already and just preordered a Galaxy Fold 2! How time and technology fly so fast!
That was my first cell phone, it was a great phone, My Optimus one had a red part instead of a silver part and had a 3.2 mega pixel camera, it is even better than the iPhone 3GS.
My first Android phone was the LG GT 540! but due to accidental liquid damage I had to ditch it and get the LG P500!! It stayed with me for quite a lot of time!! Very durable! I loved it!

I own it with Cyanogen's 2.3 and oc'd to 768 mhz, runs PES 2011 perfectly, and the improved UI doesn't lag at all. VERY good phone, and a fair price. Nice work, LG!
I still have this phone. It’s a shame that apps don’t support android 2.2 anymore. If it still had app support I would use it today. I use an iPhone XR now
@erauldz16 get the p500 because: 1. its lg, its a trustworthy brand 2. it lines up with samsung wave and htc wildfire, which are good phones 3. its cheap, yet awesome 4. its camera is clearer than some 5mp cams 5. its lightweight 6. its fast for a midrange smartphone 7. its one of the optimus series which is a line of smartphones that are great
I remember narrowing down my choice between this and the BlackBerry Curve 8520, I went with the BB, and part of me wishes I’d have chosen this, although I did love the BB. Does anyone here these days use mid range android phones these days rather than the S8/iPhone?

I've been using mine for more than 4 months, nearly 5 and I absolutely love it, it's something that I would call the PERFECT phone. I use hell of a lot applications sometimes at the same time and it's still working just perfect.
How is with durability and resistance ? Is gps free to use ( without connecting internet and paying for use )? Is camera and videos as bad as it sounds ?
I'm confused whether to get LGp500 or Galaxy Mini. By reading the comments, I presume LG P500 would be a better choice considering that I will be using the phone mainly for: 1.Internet 2.Calls 3.Video Playback (I really care about the quality of watching videos) 4.MP3 Also, I'm considering Galaxy Ace. So, it is right to say that ACE>LG P500>Mini?
Im getting mine Tuesday! It´s my first smartphone and im really exited! Also i´ve seen that it is almost the same size as an iPhone 4 so i may know what to expect ;P
will it ever have the chance to support Adobe flash 10.1? maybe on the next update of android? it sucks bigtime when it can't open flash elements on websites

Do not play flash or simple camera is the consumer knowing before you buy, with a brief survey. Halt and reboot the LG is not delivering what sold.
@pablowoolvett well when trying to hook it up to the computer it says insert disk now which i didnt get in the box so mp3 is out of the question till i figure that out searching google possibly but how do i set it from google

what are the complaints about the music quality, it's great and loud!:)
You can use set cpu app to improve the 600 mhz to 800 mhz or 1000 mhz
