I miss the 80's and early 90's really bad. I am not kidding. Something became very wrong around 1993/94 and still can't pin point what it was.

Saw this concert live in Washington DC. Phil commands the crowd and he can belt out a song better and with more power in his little finger than most people will ever hope to attain in their entire life. Tons of talent given to this man who made my life in the 80s and 90s. We will never see his likes again. This song just transports me to a happy place. Thank you Phil for your wonderful music both solo and with Genesis. You are one for the record books for sure.

Jesus, you don't know how many memories this song... the entire "Serious Hits, Live!" album brings me. During most of my childhood, I took countless car trips with my family, and my father always had this as a cassette tape. Whenever this song started playing, I knew the album was coming to an end. And after enjoying immensely the song, at the end I always asked my father to flip the cassette to listen to it all over again.

Same, I remember car trips where my mother would listen and sing to his songs on the cassette. It's kind of weird, but that simple memory somehow means a lot to me. Today, I still listen to him when I want to feel at ease and forget my surroundings😊

Music like this will never be the same. The style the movies the love in the air. The way people was back then was so much fun. Now everything is so judemental. Phil was always in the same list as of Michael and Freddy! He is slept on so much. But hey! The people that arre still listening to this in 2023-2024 are the real ones.

Next week, I'll finally be able to return home, after a long wait, and reunite with my family, and this track from its iconic album, will always hold a special place in my heart for that, and truly helps me cope, and memorize the moments. A track with so much meaning, story behind it, and different contexts, with it's best ever performance being this one, with Phil in his peak during these Seriously Live performances. The atmosphere, instruments, and vocals truly legendary, and Phil was one of the best at it, when he was able to. I played this song on my Walkman incessantly during Desert Storm. It was my go-to.19 and off to war gives you a much clearer perspective of the place you call home. For better or worse, I just wanted to be home. I will never not think of that time in my life when I hear this song.

Phil Collins is a huge part of my gradeschool to high school years. He was always on the radio. I was and kinda still am a metalhead, but I liked him in those years. This brings back a total body feeling of growing up in the 80s. I fucking love it.

I was at this concert with my then girlfriend Angelica from Gutersloh
The atmosphere created by this song was amazing, we were singing it all the way back to the car park. There aren’t many musicians around now as talented as Phil, someone who could bring out all the positive human emotions.
I still love Angelica for sharing that moment in time and I always think of her when I listen to this song. Life is soooo short but I smile when I know I spent my time with her at this concert. I wonder where she is now but I hope she is happy. She was wunderbar ❤

His humble & fun character. His humble surprise that his talents were received so well by so very many of us. Doing what he loves but because of the reception became a prisoner of fame & what comes with it. All he wants is to be happy, doing his thing. Most of all wants to be "home". Translation to me means he wants to be happy, comfortable, love & be loved =at home with himself. 🙌💖
