really good series of video, I had been searching for a fish for different size aquariums and this video gives more idea, well done. subscribing! Thanks again.
I just found this video, so this has all ready been said probably. Axolotls will eat anything they can fit in their mouth, so it is not recommended to keep them with anything other than other axolotls of the same size. Two adults will work well in a 75 gallon. Also, they need cold water - preferably no higher than 68 F. Othewise, great video!
talking from where climbing perch are native here, i would suggest keeping a bunch of them maybe 5/6. feeding a bunch of them is really fun to watch. very aggressive. if you keep them with floating plants, maybe you can get breeding action. the eggs will float n stick to the floating plants after they spawned about survivability out if water, i had a bunch of them jumped out from my 150L tub outside, and i find them dried out the next morning lulz. they'll do just fine as long as the gills don't dried out, but for a week that's quite tough to achieve. unless they managed to find a puddle or some sort
I really enjoy these lists and the effort you put into them. A suggestion though; please include the scientific name of the fish as well, since it makes looking it up a lot easier.
I really like this 75g acrylic tank I bought from a guy because its actually 5' or 60" long but is still 18" wide & its 16" tall. Nice for the Rope fish I have in there at the moment, they will be going in a 150g soon
😀👍 AWESOME video!!!! Thank you so kindly for POSTING!!!! I was needing help to Stock my 75 gallon aquarium and I want it to be PEACEFUL AND COLORFUL 😀😀😀❤ PEACE AND MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU 😀🙏
DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS I have a 65 gallon tank and I wanted to do electric blue acaras, Congo tetras, roselines, and Severums. Do you think that’s a great idea or do you have any other suggestions
Hey, it depends on what type of peacocks. OB peacocks are more aggressive so they are a good fit with mbuna, maybe a eureka peacock could work but most other peacocks might not be tough enough. You biggest concern would be with having 2-3 peacocks because they would likely fight each other. You'd have to keep one, or a group of at least five to divide the aggression amongst them
I’ve struggled with tank mates on a starry night cichlid myself. Definitely have a female and she’s definitely been on the more aggressive side had to keep her alone but definitely love her. But as far as catfish go would an eclipse catfish be suitable for that 75?
I have a 55 gallon that has a pacamus,2 different grammies, upside down catfish ,what center fish and other dishes can I put in there .love color ones..community tank none aggrassive...
Are the following types and numbers of fish ok together in a 54 gallon tank Siamese Algae Eater 4 Fancy Tail Guppies 6 Rummy Nose Tetras 2 German Rams 3 Corey Catfish 10 Glow Tetras 6 Danios ?
love the videos! keep it up. however i do have some things that i could critique on. mainly with the axolotl tank. you can easily keep up to five in a seventy five but i would strongly recommend to not add anything else to the tank. axolotls are oppurtunistic eaters and will eat anything that can fit in their mouth. they are recommended for a species only tank
My lfs Aquarium Paradise in Lakewood WA had some Chameleon Whiptail Catfish a couple months ago, like 4 of em. Haven't seen anymore tho since they've been bought
Hey hey axolotls species only tank. Any fish will be eaten. They can saftely eat guppies or cloud minnows. Even ghost shrimp. They are super hard to care for and are best as species only. 20g for one 10g for any additional. They need powerful filtration but low flow rates which can be achieved by attacking sponges to the outflow. Do your research if you decide to own these guys! Use fb axolotl groups. They have to be on sand or barebottom tanks. They are very specific on water temps and it can be hard to keep them cool enough without a chiller.
Got an empty 75 gallon. Out of your list, I like the flowerhorn, green terror, electric blue Dempsey, and of course that axolotl. Can you provide me with a full tank stocking recommendation? The more big fish the better 👍 not interested in breeding
Well the flowerhorn would have to be a lone fish as they are very aggressive. The green terror can get along with an Oscar, jack dempsey, salvini cichlid, severum...not all, but you can choose from them. Electric blue dempsey from my experience are more peaceful than regular jack dempsey sol maybe fish like barbs and loaches in a community tank. Axolotl would need to be with fast moving fish like giant danio because they'll try to eat most fish
Great video! Lots of effort put into it! What id like to note is that harlequin sharks are a BIG no no for tankmates!! They cannot be housed with other members of the species or similar looking fish at all. And they have potential to even kill other species depending on individual!
DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS yes very true it’s why you don’t see these fish often because they are just one of “those” fish who will simply kill other fish for fun just because they can... similar to snakeheads... it’s unfortunate because of the harlequin sharks nice colors but every fish needs to have a catch or special note if you want it as a pet
Grandma has a tank and she's going to clean it out and get stuff for a fish tank and I don't know what to put in it and I don't know if it's 70 gallons or 50 gallons😓😰
So I have an empty 75. I really love the geophagus winemilleri, would that be impossible? I was thinking a few of them, diamond tetras and a pleco. I know it depends on individual personalities so it's always a risk (I would never blame you for suggestions) What other fish would you suggest? Say each geo grows to 7 inches, how many fish of that size will work in a 75? How do you determine how many dither fish? You have way more experience than I do. My husband really likes the electric blue acaras. Severums too but I dont want them eating all my plants. I know geos dig but I have alot of anubias and java ferns. I just really like the winemilleri. All these fish have the same water parameters. I've been researching a ton but cant seem to find what I'm looking for
Geophagus Winemilleri is certainly a beautiful fish! You could start with a colony of 6 in your 75 gallon tank, they'll do fine for a good while until they are ready to breed and eventually pair off. When that time comes it'll be best to take out some of them just leaving 1, possibly 2 pairs (depending on their size at that time) because they will become very aggressive towards each other. As far as tank mates, the electric blue acara is a great option. Keyhole cichlids, sajica cichlid, Cryptoheros cutteri, Cryptoheros nanoluteus, firemouths or rainbow cichlids should fit in well...not all though because they would compete with each other...I would probably just pick 1 or 2 to coexist with the geo's. Banjo catfish or twig catfish could add a nice touch to the tank as well. And then you have space for a nice school of 8-10 diamond tetra if that's what you want
Hi sir I am RAJAN from India I have about 3lng 18 inch wide and 16 inch high tank how many chiclids can I put please advise thanks it was very huge list of fishes haven't heard before.
Is that 3ft long? If so their are plenty of dwarf cichlids that could fit...maybe a pair of convict cichlids, acara or a smally colony of angel fish or cupid cichlids
Yes I do, my biggest is almost 12"...grown from 2". They are great bottom dwellers for cichlid communities, for best results they need a group of 5 or more and it really helps when they have active tank mates
Hi, i have been stocking my 60 gallon tank with South American cichlids and I wanted some input on whether or not I should add more cichlids and if so which ones. 5 convicts 2 female jelly bean parrots 1 male blood parrot 1 female gold Severum 1 female blue acara
You may have space for another 1-2 cichlids that max at 6 inches like firemouths, rainbow cichlid, Micaw cichlid....Just be careful with 5 convicts because they'll most likely pair off and breed
got a 75G for a severum but they are to much of a tank destroyer haha. anyone have a large 75g fish that doesn't destroy all your plants and dont eat smaller fish to recommend ? XD
My 75 gal is like 48x19x24I got it a few years ago at petsmart, idk if that makes a difference? I thought it to be kinda weird dimensions. So my question being,.. taking one in away from height and adding to width, does that change capacity of gallon size?? I bought it as a 75gallon, but I'm thinkin it may be more? Help me out here somebody,.. how do I get figure? Is there a formula to figure to gallon size?
I've heard that keeping axolotls together can be bad since when they're young they can be cannibalistic towards each other. If so, how is it to keep multiple adult axolotls together?
It depends on the dimension of the tank...typically the 48"x 18" footprint is the most important...height of the tank not so much. So if you 65g is just shorter than all of these fish should work...if its shorter length of width than you have problems
only put axolotls with other axolotls anything nippie with eat their limbs anything small will be consumed as food or something big and very peaceful and Not known for nipping or aggression
This channel is underrated, thanks for the list!
Thanks For Watching!
I agree! I’m curious as to what your career is. You are so knowledgeable about these 🐠. I bet you have had most of them you talk about!
cant wait till you do a 125 fish for a 125 gallon aquarium video
king hunter I’m hanging out for the 375g vid
king hunter that’s literally any fish that doesn’t get larger than a dovii, jaguar, oscar, or umbii.
king hunter I’m waiting for the 800
Oscar? What lol
Dude, this was a kick'Ass list!! Thanks for taking time to make, some of those can be difficult to obtain in my neck of the woods..
Thank You!
Great knowledge and a true love of the hobby, so thanks for the passion in tank life !
Thank You!
Paused at 1:01 and subbed. Liked the video as well. I love the community and the hobby, its good to see another fellow fishkeeper on youtube
Thank You!

really good series of video, I had been searching for a fish for different size aquariums and this video gives more idea, well done. subscribing! Thanks again.
Thank You!
I really appreciate your videos. You have some great info and fantastic tank inspirations. Thanks!
Thank you!
dude this is an amazing amount of content, feeling very lucky to find this after buying a 75 gal tank!

Thank you for your hard work
i think the axolotl are more popular with kids because of minecraft, as clown fish became popular after finding nemo
I read it as 75 fish for a 75gal - as in the one inch per gal rule..
Some great species you've mentioned!! Thumbs up from me👍
Thank you!
I would definitely refer to your lists when stocking a tank. Thank you. Great video.
Thank You!

Wow thanks for the info...it was kinda hard to believe it could survive 6 days out of water...I guess that happened once under perfect conditions
I really enjoy these lists and the effort you put into them. A suggestion though; please include the scientific name of the fish as well, since it makes looking it up a lot easier.
So many fish options, thank you!

Wow that foot print is pretty amazing
The panda uaru looks like a villain that came right from a anime series.
14:05 Damn !!! Super sonic speed 🔥😂
Peacock eels are my favourite
Another great one brother and I leaned a couple of things too.

DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS I have a 65 gallon tank and I wanted to do electric blue acaras, Congo tetras, roselines, and Severums. Do you think that’s a great idea or do you have any other suggestions
Great video again man. Awesome job.! Am definitely going to use some of the suggestions. Thinking about a rainbow tank perhaps.
Thank you, rainbow fish are awesome
Darius, do you think it’d be okay to have an mbuna 75G tank with maybe 2-3 male peacocks? Or is that a pending disaster? Thanks

I was skeptical about bluegrass aquatics
I ordered from them about 5 times...1 mix up with the other sending me the wrong fish but the refunded me
Yay!! My reccomendation!
You found some crazy cool stuff, nice job.i never seen an elephant nose fish👍🏾
Thanks, yes first saw those fish at petsmart!
🤯 Hey! At 5:05 into your video, you talk about a dragon puffer. Are those fish freshwater fish or saltwater? 🤷🏻♀️
I have a 55 gallon that has a pacamus,2 different grammies, upside down catfish ,what center fish and other dishes can I put in there .love color ones..community tank none aggrassive...
Plz do 40 fish for a 40 gallon tank!!!😩😩
Are the following types and numbers of fish ok together in a 54 gallon tank
Siamese Algae Eater
4 Fancy Tail Guppies
6 Rummy Nose Tetras
2 German Rams
3 Corey Catfish
10 Glow Tetras
6 Danios
?
Yes that sounds like a good stock list. Not overstocked and everyone should get along fine
love the videos! keep it up. however i do have some things that i could critique on. mainly with the axolotl tank. you can easily keep up to five in a seventy five but i would strongly recommend to not add anything else to the tank. axolotls are oppurtunistic eaters and will eat anything that can fit in their mouth. they are recommended for a species only tank

I just bought a 75. Will be stocking with a mating pair of Electric blue acara and around 16 Corys. Eventually I might add something else
Wow your office looks dope
My lfs Aquarium Paradise in Lakewood WA had some Chameleon Whiptail Catfish a couple months ago, like 4 of em. Haven't seen anymore tho since they've been bought
If I ever see them I'm buying them...period!!!
I thought there would be Oscars on there nice vid though

Also note other fish and anything smaller then their heads they can eat and choke. Its best to feed them cut up european and canadian night crawlers.
Thanks for the info, I never kept them so my suggestion was pretty empty
Anableps for a beginner with fire belly newts and rope fish? For 75 gallon 80 gallon paludarium
I'm not sure how well it'll be mixing the 3...newts might be best with some faster moving, cooler water fish like minnow or danio
Any chance I could get the names of those fish mentioned in the 2nd option for native community. Couldn’t hear you too clear
Rainbow Dace and Darters, many different species of both
cool video D!
Thank You!
Could you do one for 40 gallon
Got an empty 75 gallon. Out of your list, I like the flowerhorn, green terror, electric blue Dempsey, and of course that axolotl. Can you provide me with a full tank stocking recommendation? The more big fish the better 👍 not interested in breeding

You can keep Channa Asiatica too in this tank.
Would a 70 gallon long hold a flowerhorn or is that simply too little?
The main importance is the foot print of the tank. (dimensions)..at least 4ft long, and wider than the fishes total length by at least 5 inches
Where do u get an silver arowana
Mine came aquascape online... I live close to them and bought mine in store
Kissing grouamis are cool. I got a green one myself but it does seem like they are losing popularity. The get aggressive too
Thanks, I can't find them at the big chain stores that used to keep them in stock, maybe its just my area
I had to special order the green ones through my local. I did notice that grouamis are easier to get in the summer for some reason.
If DWS says this, then I am on it !!!!👍😁😀😀
Grandma has a tank and she's going to clean it out and get stuff for a fish tank and I don't know what to put in it and I don't know if it's 70 gallons or 50 gallons😓😰
They have aquarium calculators online, all you need is the tanks length width and height
8:38 I saw some for sale on Aqua Imports
Awesome vid, you've helped me out tremendously so ty. Think ima going to stick fliament barbs in my tank :D right now i have guppies in a 75 XD

@@dwsdarius thank you very much!
Now I find a video like this...
But my tank is perfect for what I imagined it to be.
I have a red Texas and a Red Dragon flowerhorn and a Red Devil the flowerhorn is the most dominate
Hi sir I am RAJAN from India I have about 3lng 18 inch wide and 16 inch high tank how many chiclids can I put please advise thanks it was very huge list of fishes haven't heard before.

kool share
Could you do 800 fish for 800 gallon?
Do you own any clown loaches also what’s your stance on them
Yes I do, my biggest is almost 12"...grown from 2". They are great bottom dwellers for cichlid communities, for best results they need a group of 5 or more and it really helps when they have active tank mates
Can you make a video for fish in a 100 gallon tank??
Can’t wait til 1 fish for 1 gallon
Hey, I have a 100 gallon aquarium, can I keep a Arowana in that. Is the tank sufficient ??
No, silver arowana need at least 8ft of swimming length and 3ft width minimum
How many silver dollars would you put in a 75 gallon?
Spotted silver dollars only grow to 4" so maybe 10...striped can grow to 6" so 6-8 and red hooks can reach 8" so 5-6
Elephant nose. Please provide more info. What can i keep with them.
Hi, i have been stocking my 60 gallon tank with South American cichlids and I wanted some input on whether or not I should add more cichlids and if so which ones.
5 convicts
2 female jelly bean parrots
1 male blood parrot
1 female gold Severum
1 female blue acara
I forgot to mention that none of my fish are aggressive at all
You may have space for another 1-2 cichlids that max at 6 inches like firemouths, rainbow cichlid, Micaw cichlid....Just be careful with 5 convicts because they'll most likely pair off and breed
@@dwsdarius They are all females from what i have been able to determine, and thanks for your advice.
A 55g has 15g difference than a 75! 😭😂

You're awesome
got a 75G for a severum but they are to much of a tank destroyer haha.
anyone have a large 75g fish that doesn't destroy all your plants and dont eat smaller fish to recommend ? XD
I thought oscars would be on this list I have one with a firemouth and a female jack
An oscar could work in a 75g

That's not a 75 gallon, that's a 90 gallon! There are tank volume calculators online if you come across any similar situations
Do a 180 gallon
I've heard that keeping axolotls together can be bad since when they're young they can be cannibalistic towards each other. If so, how is it to keep multiple adult axolotls together?

No I think that'll be too small for them
I figured it out it's a 65 gallon 🤔🧐
Great video sir👍
Thank You!
What's the kind-pands pandas walwroo cichlids? 15:07
Yes panda Uaru
Would some of these fish work for a 65 gallon
It depends on the dimension of the tank...typically the 48"x 18" footprint is the most important...height of the tank not so much. So if you 65g is just shorter than all of these fish should work...if its shorter length of width than you have problems
My bass and two bluegill died today from a disease😭😭I reccomend them the anyone if you have enough space
only put axolotls with other axolotls anything nippie with eat their limbs anything small will be consumed as food
or something big and very peaceful and Not known for nipping or aggression
