Small schooling fish are my favourite. I always end up dedicating my tank mainly, or even solely to them, and mine is a 50 gallons - But the spectacle of schooling fish in a planted aquarium is so unique, I readily renounce to larger fish in favour of them.
I have a 55g - the idea was for a betta sorority, so I wanted a big tank. But right now I have guppies and orange laser catfish and I have 6 more catfish and 10 ember tetras on the way. SMH! Once these guys are outta quarantine and doing well in the big tank, I want some rainbow fish and more Cory cats. I love Cory cats.. so my big fish tank is turning into a small fish tank!
Schooling fish don’t just hang out with their own species They’ll also school with other similar species I had a school of regular neons and a school of black neons that schooled together as one species💯🐠💙🔥
Videos like these are invaluable for learning about the best schooling fish for freshwater aquariums that were previously unknown. Keep doing the videos.
On of my favorite things about schooling fish is if you have an established school that is happy and add new fish they immediately join the crew and get their vibrant colors.
It’s always special to learn something about aquarium fishing. The way you presented the video is simply gorgeous. Also, your explanation is super cool and easy to understand. The video quality is excellent. I have learnt a lot about this type of fishing. Very helpful content. I Will recommend it to my friends. Keep up the good work.❤️
It's the video iam looking in UA-cam.. Finally i find it.. I love fishes very much... Thanks for share this helpful video.. Love you bro... Waiting for your next video... 🥰
I love small schooling fish. I have a 55 gallon and I’m getting ready to get a 90. Both will be full of small schooling fish. I stare at my 55 gallon all the time 🥰
The Buenos Aires Tetra were by far the tightest schooling fish I've had. They are also little bullets when feeding... Unfortunately, they will eat some plants.. Looking to get a nano school going in with my rainbows..
Jellybean tetras… love their colors, the fact that they aren’t even remotely shy and that they school higher, and they really accent the colors in the rest of the tank very well. I even like the way they swim. Orange body. Green fins. But… of all the fish in the tank something was killing them off. My best guess is the generally not aggressive girl betta in there, but it also could have been the generally peaceful electric blue short body ram. I might trade the betta into a different tank and try the jellybeans again. The last survivor I moved over to a tank with nothing aggressive and he’s doing well.
I wouldn't call cherry barbs schooling fish. I have 6 and they mostly do their own thing. Great seasy fish though. Males look great when they get the adult color.
Cherry barbs are massively under rated. In the store they look pale and meh. Put them in your plantd tank at home and the colours really shout and they behave interesting;ly. Even the female's yellow and black stripes look brill. Get 8 if you can.
The video I was looking for , thanks for sharing it with us , really awesome and amazing and would like to recommend to everyone .wow . very beautiful fish unites . . thanks for the this enjoyable video .

55 gallon tank. 1 betta and 1 angelfish as the main display. 1 school of blue neon thst school with the black and red. 1 school serpae tetra 1 school of red eye tetras. And then guppies which won’t stop breeding so they have the largest number
How to i make my fish to school?? I have 8 neon tetra and 10 CPDs in my 30gallon long tank.. but they all over the tank.. the only time i see them together is when its feedling time.
I've just been gifted with 3 smaller tanks. So am very excited getting started. I have an African frog a albino catfish and 6 guppies. I'd love a shrimp tank..they r lovely. What is a nano tank mean please? U speak very clearly and I like the still pics to see each fish and not just in the tank. U make an excellent teacher...thank you.
Hi Roda. A nano tank in the freshwater world would be anything less than 20 gallons. In the saltwater side, anything under 40 gallons is considered a nano tank
top of the list for me are in my 29 gal. tank are 10 white cloud mountain minnows and 5 cherry barbs. in my 20 gal. tank i have 5 tiger barbs 5 zebra danios. It has worked really well especially the 20 gal. they are both known to be fin nippers which they do but they believe in segregation and don't swim together.

My dwarf neon rainbows swim together with the congo tetra's.
Are they colour blind
green neon tetra schools with my large neon tetra. they look like schoolkids with their teacher
The Cardinal Tetra has always been #1 in my book.
My favorite thing about Cory cats is the way they sit next to each other like cars at a 50s drive-in💯😂

Also red eye tetra, congo tetra, lemon tetra, scissortail rasbora, endlers, tinfoil barb, five-banded barb, checker barb, clown loach

Good point!
I love tetras

Awesome info 👍👍

How about congo tetras
Yes, Congo tetras are schooling fish that can get anxious if they are not part of a group of at least six of the same species.
i'm trying to do an species only tank i need the tightest schooling fish
Hi there. Rummy nose tetras school fairly tight.
@@AquariumStoreDepot thanks!
I have a red tetra in 10gollin for 7 of then
Where do we buy that kind of species
Flip aquatics is a great place to start. Their link is in the description. They are one of our channel partners.

I hope you enjoyed the video; if so, subscribe for more advice on aquariums.
