I've been a drummer for close to 60 years. I love and try to emulate Bruford, Peart, Collins, Gadd - all the greats. In my humble opinion, Fleetwood is one of the best ever. By his own admission, he's not a technical wizard, but he always plays what is perfect for the music - like Ringo, Keltner, et al. I'll take that over 6000 notes per second any day. And for the record, unlike most drum solos, I think this one is actually interesting and listenable.
Not a drummer, but fascinated with the musicality and power of it all, and in my inexpert opinion, he is the Greatest Of All Time...can you imagine Fleetwood Mac without him, imagine how Go Your Own Way would have sounded without him?
Could you imagine if Mick found his way to be the drummer for Jethro Tull? Mick Fleetwood sharing the stage with Ian Anderson. Man, that would be some night!
Mick honestly is one of the finest drummers to have ever played, his touch is beyond reproach. He has an incredible timing that to most seems a little off, but he's actually metronome precise
Seen them twice and always thought, "why he is considered a great drummer?!" Literally nothing percussively great at ALL in this "solo". He does what's right for a song but talk about overrated drummer
