Chef AJ came from a heavy smoking household and then smoked for a while herself. She has dealt with chronic asthma her entire life. This is sincerely not a shocker and she is probably doing as well as she is because of her diet and lifestyle today. Go, Chef AJ! 💚💚💚
She's also probably post meno and hormonal instability can cause cancer too. She could be on HRT which can accelerate cancer cells that were undetected.
Yes, and remember the pesticides sprayed on the vegetables, plants aren't the cause, it's the chemicals they spray plus the smoking and all the stress she's been thru. Plants could have kept her alive for so long. Even if we eat a clean diet, the environment, the chemtrails, contamination, past smoking, its all too much to deal with.
I stopped watching him when he took no accountability for being with a 17 year old when he was a 30 year man. Yes, it was (barely) legal but how creepy is that? I think he has a few daughters himself now, would he be okay with some 30 year old sniffing around them when they were barely legal? And given his promiscuity, there is a good chance he has some sort of STD - did he pass it on to her? She's was young, she wouldn't even think to protect herself...it's just gross on so many levels. So much for all his chitchat about working the 10 steps, taking responsibility for hurting others and so on...
What broke my cognitive dissonance was when a bird flew into my window and was stunned. I was convinced it would die and it was all my fault. I cried for over an hour. Then i went back into my house where i had been about to eat chicken when the bird hit my window. I just looked at it and was like why is that bird so much more important to me than this one? It's been a bumpy road but I'm still trying every day to be better.
I felt the same years ago when I was criticizing Koreans for eating dogs and then I inner stood that all animals are just like us. Pigs, cows, turkeys, baby lambs, and the lust goes on. I real eyesd that I was a hypocrite. Then I saw a movie that showed a couple of scenes of an abattoir and it scarred me, I broke down sobbing. That was the day before thanksgiving seven years ago. I only wished I’d transitioned sooner As for those vegans that get very sick there is healthy vegan and massive junk food vegan Obviously we k is which one is the true source to inner being Much love everyone Be gentle with others as this helps animals better, to be the change and walk the walk and gently others will see Much love
I once saw a chicken eat a piece of chicken. I thought:: if the chicken doesn't care about eating her brother, why should I get all twisted up about eating the same chicken. It was a very eye opening moment.
@agreeablegraylife the difference is you are aware and it is not necessary for survival. Also the chicken didn't keep that other chicken in torturous conditions for it's entire life. Mostly it's a personal decision so if you don't care then you do you.
Wow I'm so delighted to hear Ricky talking about being Vegan. He does hold himself to account, and in becoming vegan he is being ethically and intellectually consistent. Most people are not.
I understand, I am vegetarian/ vegan for 39 years and have cancer, stroke, and heart disease. If I was not vegan I would be worse off than I am. Vegan helps us to be better for thee genetic diseases that run in my family.
I had cancer, I was in a group of women, about 30, who were being treated for the same cancer. I was the only one in the group who ate a whole foid plant based diet. Interesting to me, I was the only one in the group who felt strong and healthy through everything. I had no side effects, no fatigue, nothing, and my cancer was terminated. I know this is my experience, however my doctors noticed the difference as well. I agree with you, I think food is our medicine as well.
Same here. Just found out yesterday that I had a heart attack at some point and have heart damage. If I hadn’t gone vegan 10 years ago, I’m sure I’d be dead already.
Vegan is not a diet,it is a philosophy and way of living that chooses not to exploit animals in any way ! Plant based doesn't mean that one is vegan. You can be plant based but still participate in exploiting/ abusing animals.
It could be said the other way too, that vegans are concerned about animals, but they don’t care that much about personal health. They eat junk food, pastries, pasta (processed food), drink alcohol, and really don’t follow nutritional plant-based practices.
@ You are believing fake news. Check out Dr. Fuhrman and Dr. Greger. I have been nutritarian (Fuhrman’s term) for over 15 years, and my blood numbers are perfect and I have the blood pressure of a healthy 18 year old. I am 73. There are so many kinds of unhealthy veganism. Fuhrman and Greger are crystal clear with their recommendations, and I follow them to the letter. No added sugar, salt or oil. No frankenfoods. Only real fresh fruits, fresh or cooked vegetables, nuts and seeds for essential oils, and cooked mushrooms. I have grown my own sprouts and microgreens for many years, and I have hundreds of pounds of dry beans from around the world in my garage. I cook a pot of beans from dry beans every week. No canned food, no processed food, no sugar water, no alcohol. Also, daily intermittent fasting is important and also going regularly (every 2 to 3 days) to a gym for a strenuous aerobic workout. Good health does not come easy!! Like anything of value, it takes work to achieve it.
@@Meathead-10810 very risky to go plant based if you don't want to give up high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis etc etc !
About Chef AJ having cancer: What is so infuriating in this carnist society is that everything vegan has to be perfection. Example 1: The fitness world is full of steroid use and protein shakes. If a vegan use steroid and/or protein shakes it's because of "flawed diet". Example 2: The omnivorous eating patterns cause massive amounts of deforestation and animals deaths. But vegans get accused of animals deaths and hypocrisy because of supposed "crop deaths", even though everything that is a problem in a vegan food system is massively bigger in an omnivorous food system. Example 3 (which relates to Chef AJ:s situation): The most common causes of death are cardiovascular disease and cancer. Most of the people getting these disease eat a non-vegan diet. But if a vegan gets a disease like this, then the diet is to blame. Societal norms, marketing and peer pressure sure make people stupid.
Vegans get that negative criticism (Example 2) because they always tell others to be ethical and not kill animals. That IS EXTREMELY hypocritical and how can vegans expect anyone to take them seriously after that? I certainly can't so vegans become a laughing stock and the butt of jokes.
I don’t know about him but I am conservative and vegan for 10 years. I wish people would stop with the politics. It’s BS! There are Catholic vegans, Christian vegans, old white vegans, young black vegans. Stop putting us in boxes!!!!
Yes! We are the most diverse group. Vegans are from all over the world with different political views, religions, ethnicities, etc. In the U.S., unfortunately, a lot of people think that if you are on “the right” or a conservative, then you must eat meat. Such a shame. People can be conservative, religious, and vegan at the same time.
@@jenniferbaez1725 Yes, but conservatives and the "right" are much more into hierarchical thinking, so them placing animals anywhere near beings worthy of consideration is much rarer.
@@jenniferbaez1725Indeed, I'm a Christian, conservative, vegan and there's plenty of scripture that backs up WFPB Nutrition, like the Daniel Diet, Garden of Eden, etc.!
The reason why I started eating a Vegan/WFPB diet was because I have terrible genes. Between them, my parents had the four main killers: Cancer, Heart disease, Diabetes, and Alzheimer's.
Check it metabolic therapy for cancer. Lot's of info online from highly credible mainstream medical. Metabolic theory may be the missing link for diet and cancer.
She's been living with lung cancer for two years and my cousin and aunt who both had it, died within six months and they were heavy meat eaters. In fact, my cousin took his doctors advice to 'make sure you get lots of protein' and he ate a pound of bacon a day!
When I had cancer I imagined being cured, and then being hit by a bus. Ha ha ha I think this way because it helps me keep things in perspective and stay in the now as much as possible. I am cancer free and I haven't been hit by a bus... Yet 😂
We all have cancer cells in our bodies. It's just a crap shoot that depends on lifestyles, smoking and eating habits are mitigating factors as to whether or not it takes off.
I've heard a lot about autophagy and how long term water-only fasting can be a good weapon against any unhealthy cells in the human body including cancer; even stage three or stage four. BTW, I'm also health-minded but I'm definitely not a vegan. I'm certain that anyone has the potential to get cancer. May AJ be showered with blessings.
knowing plant based is as good a source of protein and most vitamin deficiencies are from a lack of vegetables and fruit what are your reasons for not being plant based? Convenience? Habit? Social pressure? Taste? genuinely interested promise im not here to attack you
so disappointed with Russell ..cant rely on celebrities they are too susceptible to the compulsion of mind ...his wife has never been vegan so his children probably aren't ..i bet big family and friend pressure ..his new friends like jfk are very pro meat eating ..so sad to me ..the animals are sacrificed for all these egos
Curious as well, because listening to dr. Peter Rogers explain all the pitfalls of animal products leads me to no other conclusion that they are unhealthy without exception.
“I do know this, I was on keto for 5+ years and I loved it. Then I had a heart attack which I attribute to the animal proteins and high fats. Now I am following the Ornish lifestyle, which is four parts but includes plant based, low fat, and low sugar.” juilstahl
I got lung cancer and I do not smoke. (I am also a vegan) I worked in a room that had asbestos tables and walls because I was doing metal smithing. My parents also smoked 9 packs of cigarettes a day between them. My dad developed lung cancer as well, but he was much older. I am also an RN. It took me one year to get diagnosed. I was refused a CT scan even though I was coughing up blood and was short of breath. I had a couple chest xrays. I thought it looked like adenocarcinoma, and the radiologist agreed, but I was in Texas, working at Scott and White, who would not let me see a real doctor, nor have a CT, and I had their insurance!!! Anyway, wound up losing both lungs on my left side and the whole base of my right lung. Stage 3 cancer. Vegans get cancer, nonsmokers get cancer, runners get heart attacks, people who don't drink can get pancreatic cancer. We should not judge. (btw, still working as a nurse, still exercising and still a vegan. The quality of my life is pretty good. That picture of me in the was 2 years ago when I was just 60. So I am adding Chef AJ to my prayers.
I watched him being interviewed by Joe Rogan - who is completely anti-vegan - and he seemed to cave under the pressure of Rogan’s propaganda. He also had a hard time standing up for his Vegan lifestyle in an interview with Jordan Peterson who pushes carnism. Seems to be caving to peer pressure 🙄
Joe Rogan is hardly a man of science. More than once he's been caught advancing pure misinformation on his show only to be corrected on the spot by producers who feared consequences.
Russell's old videos of spirituality and veganism were his best years. Then he became a sort of weird right wing anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist. Not to mention the allegations and his association with Trump has really tainted my opinion of him.
Anybody who is critical of the vaccines still gets the label right wing anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist. There is simply no excuse for being this ill informed years after the pandemic.. 😬
Brand is as deep as a puddle. His veganism/spirituality was never real. Not a good person. Ricky Gervais will never waver, I think, and that’s because he’s guided by principles and ethics, not trends, popularity, likes & clicks.
I've always said that I am not vegan for other people, I went vegan because of the facts and I didn't like suffering for my sake. Among other things I am Christian, I don't do yoga, etc, but that doesn't mean I should stop being vegan. 💚 People like Russell Brand are just about chasing approval and using that to gain some sort of power and influence. Also, PBN should do content on "do-gooder derogation". Perhaps y'all would understand better why if i say I'm plant based for health I'm being lauded, but when i say I'm vegan for the animals, all of a sudden, plants feel pain and sll sorts of arguments happen. Ricky Gervais is extremely lucky and privileged he can say he went vegan for ethical reasons because he's with mature company, the rest of us isn't so lucky.
I think people confuse vegan with eating plant-based. You weren’t vegan if you ever stop being vegan. Unless you one day woke up and were like “you know what? F-- the animals!”. Vegan is a movement, whereas plant based is just a diet. Veganism is the movement + plant based diet. That’s the difference.
I don’t think vegans (not all vegans) eat that healthy. Oreo cookies, French fries, chips, impossible burgers are vegan. They eat a lot of chemicals, ultra processed foods, oils in foods. Most of those nut milks are full of oils that cause inflammation. Just because it says vegan doesn’t make it healthy. Chef AJ changed, went whole food, plant based only 5 years ago. There are so many toxins in our environment that cause diseases. I appreciate Chef AJ for her honesty. I love how she has brought awareness to trying to be healthy., weight loss and taking back her power with learning more on how to take better care of herself. She’s brought some great guests of doctors on her podcast to bring awareness. That’s how I found out about Dr. Brooke Goldner. Dr. Alan Goldhamer.
Oreo themselves claim their cookies could have cross contact with dairy. Those burgers use an additive that was tested on animals. In truth, they are all fine with using animal products. They only pretend to be against it.
Interesting, I'm a retired Certified Nursing Assistant/HHS/PC. I worked in hospitals, private duty and and nursing facilities. I had many clients who lived to their late 80:s to over100. My oldest clients were 102 103, two were 105, 107, 112 snd 113 respectively. And many in there 90's and late 80's. A few of them were cancer survivors. Two of them had both breasts removed. Some outlived their children and spouses. The one who lived to 107 had a granddaughter who had cancer. I don't know what happened to her granddaughter if she survived the treatments or not. That was the downside they said of living so long. They didn't eat any particular strict diet. In my own family my mom died of cancer however my dad smoked, she was exposed to second hand smoke over the years so maybe that was how she got cancer. Her grandma lived to 102. My 112 year old had his own garden and ate from it but he wasn't vegan or vegetarian. He was living on his own until he turned 104, he had fallen and didn't want to live alone any more. He was a very down to earth positive kinda man. Thanks for the informative video. An educated consumer is the best customer.
HHA/PCT typo. My little lady who lived to 105 was British so not all were from U. S. Less processed foods and slightly less pollution as and the type of stress and definitely not as sedentary as we've become over the decades I'm thinking. Three of my own children have had cancer scares. My daughter had six pullups removed in 2019, my other daughter had a lump on her breast and my youngest son had a lump on his chest, well you can't say breast he didn't like that term. They put a tube to suction out the fluid. They have to have a cancer check every year. So far they're clear. Again, thanks for the information.
Often times they had years of hard work, non processed food and were grateful and did not eat much only what they needed. That generation had respect for the land do not gorge on high fructose corn syrup, fast food, and pizza.
Dear Vegans, 🌱 When vystopia hurts and doubt whispers in your ear, drown it out with the sound of your activism. 🌱 You’re not defined by your failures but by your ability to rise over and over again to defend the innocent animal victims. 🌱 Each challenge you face is an opportunity to grow stronger and wiser and for your skin to get thicker. 🌱 Embrace the struggle, for it’s in those moments that you discover just how unstoppable you truly are. Veganly yours, Miss Kadie
Sometimes it's just for health, and we're only human. We still live where water, soil workplaces and the air are contaminated. And as you said, genes play a role. We don't all expect to live to a healthy 100. Food industry, politics and legislation makes this harder.
the main problem is no-one likes being confronted with their own selfishness and violation of others so the simple rational argument is quickly deliberately buried in anyway the meat eater can
Thank you so much Plant Based News, in 2020 one of your videos popped into my algorhythm even though I hadn't watched any vegan-themed videos before. I watched and listened and I switched to a whole food plant based diet. I lost all my excess weight, overcome my bingeing disorder that had plagued me for decades since age 12, and I have stayed slim ever since. My life was not worth living before, now I'm healthy, happy with my body and age 58 I look better in clothes than I've ever done, I love being stylish, fashionable, slim and most of all healthy. I love animals and helping them and the planet in my small way.
I'd like to agree that "our emotional ENERGY bodies, and our "mental, spiritual energy bodies " also contribute to specific and general illnesses experiences. My experiences with acupuncture, Donna Eden Energy Medicine, EFT , and Spiritual healing methods have shown me that illness has multiple causal factors. Having said that, reducing food and environmental causes is ground 1. So I have adopted a lo fat, WHOLE FOOD diet . It is the easiest aspect to control). If Qi energy flows freely without obstruction (from toxic physical, emotional/mental sources), we heal.
Chef AJ may not have any physical symptoms because of the plant based diet. I read a testimony about a vegan person who had a heart attack and survived. Didn't understand how they had a heart attack because of being a vegan. The doctor said that being vegan might be the reason they survived the heart attack.
To be fair to Chef AJ, if you listsen to the complete story, there was a small spot in her lung that they were watching for 2 years. It was too small to biopsy. They didn't know what it was. So IT TURNS OUT that there was a small cancerous spot that got bigger and that's how they knew, then, to get the blood test that showed cancer antibodies. So the bottom line is that she did not know for 2 years that she had cancer. The confirmation of cancer was only just very recent. So let's be fair and not 'pile on' with critique.
Plant based for Health, the environment, and the animals. Whole Food Plant Based diets are still the best diet for your health. Anyone dismissing a WFPB doesn't know nutrition.
@@ThatVeganTeacherUA-cam I am not vegan, currently. I done ate my quota, hurt my body, and can no longer consume veg or grains, but I still have great respect for Chef AJ, and she is lovely and awesome!
@@11235Aodh I appreciate your comment! Truly! I started there!! And I failed, as with my particular situation, 🙃 of mold damage and yeast overgrowth leading to IBS, gastritis, a ridiculous level of inflamation, and being chained to the toilet, I had to look for other solutions. It was a good lesson for me to take heed on what my body was telling me, and pay attention to what effects foods were having. The starch solution kind of doesn't work when one ages into arthritis symptoms, then learns that cutting out potatoes eliminates much of that. Anyway, the yeast in my gut prevents me from being able to digest grains at this stage of life. Even though I can't eat their way, I used to, and I love Dr. McDougall and Chef AJ. My body just can't eat that way anymore.
Been vegan for 12 years and I’m done with Vegans and veganism, it’s a dogma, and cultish… not eating animal products but I’m out of the movement, there’s a dark trauma to the whole thing combined with a fetishization of animal death and a downplaying of the actual violence humans do to each other
So, what isn't? What does that have to do with you. Wake up. There is no "movement." ... just a bunch of losers eating dead rotting flesh like zombies. THAT is the cult. You are weak.
The environmental impact on our health is amazingly high these days and continues to be a larger impact every year. Living in the city, around cars where exhaust is always around never is good for you.
Not forgetting the shampoo's , gels , perfumes , body sprays & deodrants with toxic chemicals , 'beauty ' products , household cleaners , the household scent oils & sprays , scented candles , the additives they put in foods ( even plant based / " so-called healthy ) , the non-stick pans with dangerous coatings, the plastic containers with PFOAS , medications ( not least the recent medical intervention ) .. etc etc etc. And , dare I mention the copious amounts of pesticides sprayed on genetically modified plant foods ( which is all of them! ) ?

“A very smart and well informed friend of mine started following Dr Paul Mason a few years back, and was inspired to reject medical orthodoxy, go full carnivore, and rationalize her sky-high cholesterol. Her calcium score was zero, which was encouraging, and she wasn’t eating any carbs to glycate her blood lipids. Nevertheless, as medical orthodoxy would have predicted, she is now fighting for her life in intensive care following a sudden heart attack. Let it be a warning if your lipid scores are off the charts.” rdnzl

Being vegan isn't even about being more compassionate - it's about NOT BEING A BLOODY EVIL FLESH GHOUL - being vegan is morally NEUTRAL - it's a moral baseline - it's simply about NOT doing heinous harm.

I'd watched russell for ten years all through the trews era etc and prior to his "vegan journey". When he went vegan he lost me. Seen right through his facade. He made numerous comments which showed me he never understood cause and effect. He was "vegan" for his own 'Spiritual journey" BS. The whole philosophy went over his head. It was all about how he percieved himself and how people percieved him. he didn't want to talk about it as he didn't want to "push" beliefs. I guess even genius's are blinded by conditioning and dissonance hahaha
I feel for anyone living with Cancer. Lung cancer in women is on the increase. Lots of people don't realise that log burners, open fires, and burning candles in the home can cause lung cancer. So important to understand PM2.5 levels in the home because it is a silent killer.
Never liked Russel Brand even with him being vegan, never thought he was funny, he always looked desperate and anxious to get laughs every minute. I couldn’t care less that he’s no longer vegan, if not for the fact that other people do look up to him. But he’s always been trash in my book, now he’s even worse trash.
I agree we all come from many different diet camps and should be kind to one another .one thing during this interview if a person wants to change their eating program it shouldn't be made to feel they are wrong. We all change from time to time in life. Just love one another. We all have different views. There are many healings from both veg and animal diets. Its cutting out all the junk. We shouldn't turn our eating into such a religion we harm others with words.
Some foods have many victims. 85 billion sentient land animals and about 1 trillion fish lose their lives because of people's diets every year. Is it fair to harm other beings because of our food choices in a world, where the majority of us can pick and choose between so very many plant based options?

How did you needlessly (that means possible and practicable to avoid) respond without using something with a processor? Smoke signals? Thanks for the easy win and your concession due to your evasion.
Might have quite a lot to do with the dangerous pesticides sprayed all over vegetables ( even organic) & the fact that *ALL* vegetables are genetically modified & interbred to make them edible. The veg's & fruits you eat DON'T exist in nature! And I'm always curious that if plants are that great , then why don't vegans just eat the grass or the leaves off the trees , or the weeds etc growing out in the fields?? Might have something to do with the fact that I can name a 100+ plants that will kill you if you eat them , & just one fish ( a Japanese delicacy prepared with care! ) . Oh did I mention gluten , nut , hayfever , seed etc allergies caused by plants? I'm not advocating cruelty to animals , but, humans are not ruminants!
She is a chef, so she most likely got lung cancer from gas stoves. Eating a healthy diet suppress the tumor growth until now. She probably would have gotten the cancer sooner if she was not eating healthy.

I want to thank you for all your sharing on this. And even if I wasn't trying to go Vegan/Plant Based, I like to learn new things that I don't know about and not judge others about what they are doing for them selves. For the animals, and my health. Thank you again P.S. I hope this is ok to ask, is there someplace that has all the "famous" people that are Plant Based?
Chef AJ said she was diagnosed about 2 years ago with Stage 1 lung cancer and chose not to have the recommended surgery, which likely would have been curative. Now it’s Stage 3 with metastasis. Fear and anxiety were/are her biggest enemies. At age 62 when she was diagnosed she had a far better chance of long term survival than she does now. 😢 But certainly hoping for the best for her.
Lots of people have recovered from late stage cancer. There is a whole book dedicated to the subject called 'Radical remission' by Kelly A Turner. I have no idea what kind of diet is discussed in the book, but healing or illness is not fully determined by diet anyway. Although I believe it can help tremendously. An over looked factor, however, is your BELIEFS about diet can influence how you react to food too. I imagine there are lots of miraculous stories around about healing from all sorts of diseases.
This a great example of why science uses sample groups and statistical analyses, because most all data sets have outliers and therefore using anecdotal stories is not reliable.
@Unmasking_Viandalisme The Old Testament. The God of the OT liked BBQ. Hence, all those animal sacrifices. It made "a pleasing aroma to the Lord" or something like that.
I have been 30 Years vegetarian 10 from them fully vegan. I have studied and been eating macrobiotic and did cooking classes. After being skinny fat and suffering from hair loss, migraines and feeling cold all the time I went beck to meat, never go back to veganism.
Not rocket science is it, animals are living there life. There is thousands of fruit and veg designed on this planet to support human life. The only issue is people have believed we cane from an explosion and when you think that narrow then even the most common sense things don’t add up. Like everything is designed for us to eat and live happy without killing animals.
And we forget that cancer can develop after a huge stress, a lot of emotions, pollution, ... It's not enough to be vegan, or raw vegan. It's important to have a healthy life AT all levels and in this society, it's hard. Think about the huge stress we've experienced during the covid time... Or because of the chemtrails....
I've been vegan for 35 years and was diagnosed stage 4b with a very rare thymic carcinoma 3 years ago - also just after my vaccine! The cancer was clearly growing before i took the vaccine.. Probably i drank too much and occasionally smoked. Still it is frustrating that it goes against the narrative of vegan being cancer free.
Yes, there is some sort of stygma to being vegan and having any decease. I got neumonia covid and was a month in the hospital with 40 % chance of recovery dispite being vegan and practicing taichi for more than 25 years. It was very frustrating to me when I survived because i said to myself how can I be credible in recommending the two most important activities for anybody that want to be healthy if I was on the 2 percent of a fatal flu. I think at some point vegans also believed the high standard people have us into. And we are still humans beyond being vegans. In my case my lungs are sensible as I had asthma since year 1 until I became vegan at 25 (im 51 now) so it is natural when a virus that attacks the lungs is out that I might get it. But one day my wife told me: have you realize that maybe because you are vegan and practice taichi that you survived a 40% chance and recovered completely in 1 month ? She doesnt understand yet that SHE is the reason for me to come back and to recover but I got her point. We cannot avoid decease but we can prepare our bodies to recover fast and strong, we cannot avoid depression but we can prepare our minds to recover fast and strong as well. That is why I will always recommend veganism and taichi and never regret a second of being lucky as I am to still practice both :)
Are you recommending veganism or a plant-based diet, I wonder? Being vegan is for the animals. As a consequence our diet is plant-based. I'm sure your healthy lifestyle helped you through covid. Stay strong 💪
It really seems that no matter what we do there are still lots of factors out there that cause issues independent of being a vegan versus non-vegan. For example, I tried the raw vegan diet and it cleared up my skin immensely. Then I was whole food plant-based/ vegan and noticed that I was breaking out again from eating chocolate even though my diet is generally healthy. I also have found that I get eczema type rashes when I take certain supplements again due to allergies. So ultimately not eating meat isn't going to cure all issues. There's other reasons why we have issues
Cancer is a Lotto anyone can get it meat eater or not, heavy smoker or not, the list go's on, just do what makes you happy, and don't ridicule others for their choices because there's a chance you're going to get it anyway.
And there are people who think it's okay to smoke..it can literally devastate your whole life..your family. I remember this person saying..no matter what we do , we are gonna die..so why care.. He even said that the quest for more years will never end. If we lived to 100s ..will be wanting to live to 200s.. But was this entirely correct.. No. I don't wanna live a long life.. I have the same opinion about Russell, but I think its telling that you are willing to ignore all of these character traits and praise someone when he is "on your side" - veganism. And then you bring that up when he barks the wrong tree. Would you be same critical about someone acting as him while still being vegan?

Chef AJ came from a heavy smoking household and then smoked for a while herself. She has dealt with chronic asthma her entire life. This is sincerely not a shocker and she is probably doing as well as she is because of her diet and lifestyle today. Go, Chef AJ! 💚💚💚
She's also probably post meno and hormonal instability can cause cancer too. She could be on HRT which can accelerate cancer cells that were undetected.

What broke my cognitive dissonance was when a bird flew into my window and was stunned. I was convinced it would die and it was all my fault. I cried for over an hour.
Yes, I was plant based for 2 years until I found out that it's extremely unhealthy :)

@@ellydavis2066 On the other hand, people believe that about the 'carnivore' diet, lol

@@ThatVeganTeacherUA-cam Keeping the masses on side AND getting the message out there requires nuance and intelligence. He is doing a very good job while being between a rock and a hard place. I thought you of all people might be able to recognise and appreciate that.
Love to Chef Aj. Love her bravery.💚✨💚
Good chat! The clip with Ricky Gervais was awesome 👏
Did she get the jab?
@@piaogilvie8463 Oh, of course, because we humans are just so superior that we get to decide which life forms are sentient. Nothing screams "I'm better than everyone else" quite like flaunting our selective empathy. 🙄
@@piaogilvie8463 You use animal products from the same animals I eat.
Care to show a healthy plants only diet study?
We both know you won't.
Why do you use animal products needlessly (that means possible and practicable to avoid) while only pretending to be against it?
@@SteversChed
Vegans don't intentionally exploit and harm animals.
As for studies there are many regarding plant based diets.
Google your question and there'll be lots for you to read. If I write the web pages, this comment will get deleted.
@@piaogilvie8463 Can't show a healthy plants only diet study then?
Kind of a trick question anyway...there is no healthy plants only diet studies.
Just plant based studies that include synthetic substances and/or processed fortified foods.
One of the most studied long term plant based diets includes fish, eggs, meat, and dairy with plants as the base.
The Mediterranean diet if you're curious.
Many things are made with animal products.
Asphalt, some types of currency, motor vehicles, electronics with processors, some housing materials, etc...
"I can't reveal I have cancer because I am vegan.". These people really are soft in the head.
If you like vegan intellectuals, check out Walter Veith. His research in south africa destroyed the dairy argument. His 36 part lecture series is pure gold.
But he doesn't believe in the theory of evolution! He believes in creationism, which is flawed and unscientific. Too bad.
I do enjoy hearing from Klaus.
Love the way you worded that. I would e sounded a lot angrier. You are SO right.
Statistics are a poor substitute for science. Today, my 'outlier' lunch involved steak & eggs.
I’m not religious but if you read the Bible, Adam & Eve were vegan. 🌱
Read all 1,189 chapters.. there's no way to "veganize" the HB.
But God liked the pleasing aroma of burnt animal offerings. So, there is that to consider. Gods eat meat. Humans eat vegetables.
@@agreeablegraylife What informs your knowledge of the diets of gods?
Yes, and they ate an apple. See where that got them. 🤣
@Unmasking_Viandalisme The Old Testament. The God of the OT liked BBQ. Hence, all those animal sacrifices. It made "a pleasing aroma to the Lord" or something like that.
In that photo you took with Russell Brandt, he does not look very healthy. His face is puffy and red. I wonder with his history what he’s up to
I have been 30
Years vegetarian 10 from them fully vegan. I have studied and been eating macrobiotic and did cooking classes. After being skinny fat and suffering from hair loss, migraines and feeling cold all the time I went beck to meat, never go back to veganism.
Never seen that coming with Russell Brand.....Not 😂😂
Sending ❤ & 🙏🏻 to AJ
Not rocket science is it, animals are living there life. There is thousands of fruit and veg designed on this planet to support human life. The only issue is people have believed we cane from an explosion and when you think that narrow then even the most common sense things don’t add up. Like everything is designed for us to eat and live happy without killing animals.

✅ You’re vegan.
✅ You care beyond yourself.
✅ You’re not a selfish narcissist.
Breaking news! Plants are life too & were on the planet way before animals! They want to survive & live too ......AND NOT be eaten!
@@ThatVeganTeacherUA-cam I've seen this post several times now.. youre sounding like a self-important narcissist!
Did she get the covid vaccine?
Cancer is a Lotto anyone can get it meat eater or not, heavy smoker or not, the list go's on, just do what makes you happy, and don't ridicule others for their choices because there's a chance you're going to get it anyway.
Never seen that coming with Russell Brand....... Not 😂😂
🤣🤣
I felt the same way and so grateful for this video!
Russell Brand isn't pretending. He's a proper air head.
Cringe Russel Brand, randomly recides turning his back on the animals is morally acceptable because ? ? ?
And there are people who think it's okay to smoke..it can literally devastate your whole life..your family.
I remember this person saying..no matter what we do , we are gonna die..so why care..
He even said that the quest for more years will never end. If we lived to 100s ..will be wanting to live to 200s..
But was this entirely correct.. No.
I don't wanna live a long life.. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life.
And he couldn't understand this until he was the sufferer.. he did not suffer lung cancer.. he didn't suffer liver cirrhosis.. he might in the future but why is he constantly encouraging people to smoke and drink.
We didn't live this long in the past.
This wasn't normal in the past. But can you imagine not living to atleast 80 now? My landlady is already in her mid 70s. She isn't very healthy (didn't drink or smoke becuz it's not the norm here but she did eat a lot of butter and sugar.) . Had her valves changed and stents placed 10 year ago but constantly checks with doctor.. just to make sure that she isn't dying any time soon.
Life is too short. We need time to earn money and then enjoy it with your family.we will all go one day .. But i wouldn't wanna cut it short..
Does Chef AJ have Stage 3A or B or C Lung Cancer? The prognosis is very different for the different types.
They say stage 3 in the video.
@@mattsapero1896 Whether it is 3A or 3B or 3C - that makes a HUGE difference.

I have the same opinion about Russell, but I think its telling that you are willing to ignore all of these character traits and praise someone when he is "on your side" - veganism. And then you bring that up when he barks the wrong tree.
Would you be same critical about someone acting as him while still being vegan?
Thank you so much for sharing. no one is above having a disease. but I believe the factor of being vegan makes things easier. because love prevails. Just love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
To stand up for animals is an ethical choice, dying of cancer or anything else is human !
An Australian carnivore friend was given 3 months due to lung cancer, decided against chemo and went on an intense raw juicing regimen and lived 10 more years...true story !
