- I didn’t want this video to have such a sad vibe, but it does. I have recently been going through a lot of struggle losing my dad. I’m back on the grind getting ready for the season.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I'm sure that even with all that you've been through with him, he was very very proud of you. You're a great kid, and you have a lot to be grateful for. Just stay humble and keep up the hard work.

I have to say that when I first started watching your videos I thought you were Norse somehow. My heritage is Icelandic as well. I am 78 and really enjoy viewing your content. My parents and all my brothers are workaholics.
Three out of 4 brothers were alcoholic. I am 43 years sober.
You can make it, just keep doing what you are doing.

Just started following you as you were talking about your dad passing and your relationship with him.
Alcoholism is a strange animal and difficult to overcome. Like you my dad died when I was 19 of liver disease. I was entering my second year of college and was in a dark place. Having watched my dad’s downward spiral over the years I started to drink to cover up my feelings and lo and behold ended up becoming an alcoholic myself. My son from my first marriage also got hooked on alcohol and drugs.
Got married again and we had two more children. Fortunately for everyone involved my second wife sought an intervention for me and then treatment and then 20 years of AA. I’m 77 now and have been sober for 41 years. I’m very grateful that I’m still alive to share this with you. My drinking and behavior affected many people. Once I stopped life took on a whole new purpose and I was forced to deal with the reality of what I’d done and make amends. My hope is that by hearing a little of my story you’ll be able to make straight stripes in the lawn of life! 😄

Hey Man, sorry about your father. My parents divorced and it’s been a bumpy road from there. He doesn’t come around much & recently my mother within the last 3 years came down with PLS Disease & yeah it not an easy thing to go through with running a Landscaping business. I’m here in support with you brother❤️let’s make the best of it & my prayer & condolences to you & your family
Keep your head up young man I lost my dad at 29 and 3yrs later my mom was murdered its never easy keep pushing and your dad's always gonna be apart of you

Love or hate your parents, most of us only get 1 pair of parents. I was adopted and still clueless who mine are. But be thankful of him. Alcoholic or not, there's kids that have it worse. You're so blessed to have him by your side. Heck, after my brother died, I moved out. I don't even talk to mine anymore. So please. Enjoy them while they're here! Love ya bro

This hit home with me because I go through the same thing with my father and it sucks big time. We will never understand why they can’t just stop, but they still love you. Man! I’m sorry to hear this. I understand your situation. I have the same story, I lost my dad to alcohol when I was 16, I’m 18 now and it’s been hard to say the least. Losing a parent to Alcohol is hard and seeing them go by something like that when you’re a young age and in a place where you need them most makes it even harder. I started my lawn care business shortly have his passing, and I keep pushing because I know I want to make him proud. Keep that attitude up brother. You’re going places !

I’ve kept up with you a bit along the way, and I’m sad to hear of this news. I hope you understand that people who follow a youtube channel do so for more than just the subject content. Normal functional humans will come to care about the person more than the subject. I just say this to preface that I think it was important that you shared this (for you and us), and it bonds us all closer when we share our stories and our sufferings with one another. What really stuns me is to think you built all that you have built without a father at your side. It’s a tribute to you and the base moral foundation that you have chosen to build your life upon. You know one of the 10 commandments is to honor your mother and father. Many people struggle with that because of the very issues you cited here. What this really is about is honoring our heritage and understanding that we come from a lineage of people who did both good and bad, but who provided a path for us to be here today. I’d say you are honoring your parents by seeking to be the best you can be and by moving forward to one day create a family of your own that will carry on your legacy. It’s something like this that makes me wish I knew you in a more direct way to encourage you to keep moving forward. But somehow I think you will be fine. The emptiness you feel we all feel at times of loss in our lives. But you will rise up and and overcome all these things and really - you already have!

Sorry for your loss bro. I hear buddy. I loss my both my parents a while ago. Yea its tough but it gets better. I always talk to me parents like their still around. It just gives me peace of mind everything is going to be ok. Thank you for sharing that. I wish I was closer to give you a big hug. Im glad you took some time to reflect and cherish the good times with your dad. Just remember that no one is perfect and your dad had a problem he couldn't beat. But you can hold that against him. R.I.P to your dad sorry for your lost sending my condolences and prayers. You motivate a lot of people I lost my dad back in 2009. Unfortunately I didn't have your courage and drive. I gave up on my business and focused on my job one of my biggest regrets. Watching you have motivated me to get back in the game and start over .
Sorry for your loss dude! Lost my dad August of 2021 he had a smoking problem and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer February 2020, I’m 33 and still just as hard and doesn’t get easier you just learn to keep pushing forward!!! Good luck this season
