Had never heard of rag quilting before today and liked the sound of it. Looked for ideas on you tube but tutorials far too long. I don’t need to see every single assembly of tools, materials and every stitch . I have enough sewing knowledge to follow yout short and succinct video. It’s a shame this video hasn’t been found by more people.

This is nice. Just wish that it told how much fabric to purchase
I know it tells how many squares to cut but first need to know yardage amounts. Especially when this is supposedly geared towards beginners / newbies..

If your fabric is 45 inches wide and you are making 7 inch squares, you will need this yardage:
1 1/4 yards of black flannel
1 1/2 yards of black and white plaid flannel
3/4 yard of black and white print flannel
3/4 yard of another black and white print flannel
8 1/2 yards of white flannel
