Hi Speros ! I must say that this is one of, if not the best, circle cutting jigs that I have seen! I would like a crack at making a similar sometime for my band saw. A superb project mate , hope all's well and cheers, Bram

Very nice build and one of the best jigs I've seen. Do the front adjuster. I use mine all the time and can really zero in on the back of the gullet.
    Cheers, Lee

Lee thank you Lee, I plan on adding the adjuster the next time I need to change the blade. I was always under the impression that the tip of the teeth was better than the back of the gullet. I assumed that it could bind in the kurf if the blade is thin on a tight turn. Is there a reason why you use the back of the gullet? I’ve seen it alines both ways. Thank you my friend.

Thank you for detailing the point that is needed for cutting a perfect circle.

I really don't know. I guess I read it. it would be an interesting test to turn two circles and compare. Easy to do with the " adjuster" . I think the size of the radius may have an effect. Don't know I just use it for bowls and didn't care about accuracy.
    Cheers,
    Lee

Lee Good to know, once I add the adjuster I will try it out both ways. Thank you, and Cheers!

I must have missed it but I scanned back through twice. I did not see you put a index pin in the track (nail point) to reference the center point of the stock.

Hi Gary, this jig is both pin and non-pin. I have both and other attachments. So, I can cut pieces without adding a hole. The clear circle is double sided taped then inserted into the hole in the slider. It works great. I wanted to design a jig that would do many things. Hope that helps. Thank for watching.

Nice job, if you really want to look professional put your tape measure away in a draw and use a steel rule for measuring. a tip from a retired engineer...

SP Wood Art So far, so good. Pretreating a batch of punky maple burl bottle stopper blanks today with Cactus Juice. Tomorrow is resin day again. Having a lot of fun with the Total Boat resin, it is almost gone!
