    Can they be cut to shorten? Not the width, but the length.

    do you have a video of the for the general and it'd be nice to see you actually run the wires

      Sorry, unfortunately we do not have a video specific to the General's.

    1/4" staples are too short for polaris general. The factory are 3/8". Local store doesn't carry 3/8 in stainless. Might try 1/2 but the 1/4 are popping out. They will not hold the trim piece that conceals the ruff cut fabric.

    Having a problem, just got a 21 yamaha yxz1000se and the seats are to narrow for the heater pad. Theirs straps I guess you call them coming from the cover and run down under the foam which makes it impossible to lay these down flat. I tried cutting notches on the sides of the pad to clear these straps and the pad only heads on the bottom half but not the upper half.
    So what's the best way to do this? I call rmatv and they said can cut on the sides just don't cut the copper wire. I only see those at the top, am I missing more of them?

      Hey Jason, There isn't a lot of room to cut on the heating element. The vertical wires go all the way up along the edges. Did they get cut? ua-cam.com/video/YSNLsTMaLus/v-deo.html If they didn't get cut, you can reach out to our warranty department. warranty@rockymountainatv.com

      Yea on each side I had to cut like half moon shapes to clear the straps holding the cover. So what's my options? Can you fold the edges over enough to go between these straps?

    What stapler did you use to restaple these?

      I got a arrow air stapler for $35 on amazon, best thing I ever bought! I have 2 dirt bikes I redid seat covers on and tried every stapler but a air one and had to goto a shop to have them staple it. This time I wasnt doing that. This puts them in with no problem and fast!

    Could you put these on all four seats and wire them all to one rocker switch?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 роки тому

      These seats use quite a bit of battery power and a rocker switch is usually spec'd for one seat. So we'd recommend one seat per switch.

      @@rmatvmc how many amps do they draw? Per seat? Thanks

      Wire them all to a relay and switch the relay with the rocker.

    • @johnny7388

      @@campquitcherbitchin75 It says they take 50 watts per seat. So divide 50 watts by 12 volts and you get 4.167 Amps. Hope this helps.
      Divide Watts by your Voltage to get the Amps.

    Can these get wet and still work?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 роки тому +2

      They will hold up to washes and being splashed with water, especially being under a seat cover. But you wont want to submerge it in water.

      @@rmatvmc Can you be more specific? LOL. If the heater is off, shouldnt it be ok if we pass through a creek and get water above the seat level? Assuming, we let the switch dry out before using. I avoid deep water in the fall and winter but in summer time, when we dont need the heater, seem like it should be ok as long as it is dry by the next time I need heat. Thanks.
