Slowly discovering we have almost exactly the same taste in books lol. I'm so happy I found your channel and can't wait to try out the recs I haven't read yet!
The Jasmine Throne is fantastic! It was on my TBR for a while but this video gave me a push to start it and I did and it's such an amazing story. The romance is slow and beautiful and wonderfully intimate but the romance is just one of many complex relationships explored in the book. I dont want to spoil anything so I wont elaborate but I loved The Jasmine Throne so much, cant wait to get to the sequel.
Thank you for mentioning The Justice of Kings! It’s definitely not a romance but the YEARNINGGG ( which ramped up in the second book) was top notch. Can’t wait to see what happens in the final book next year 😊
i immediately got The Spear That Cuts Through Water on my kindle, it sounds so beautiful!! I think I might try the Justice of Kings too, I've only heard good things. Thank you for the recs!!!!!
Divine Rivals, while written in third person, does feature dual male and female perspectives. In fact, many of Rebecca Ross’s novels follow this same writing perspective style. And while not exactly romantic or fantasy, “Warm Bodies” by Isaac Marion is a post-apocolyptic zombie Romeo & Juliet story with beautiful writing that’s completely narrated by the male protagonist.
@@electricant55 I think you misunderstood. I would love more male povs in m/f romances too but since there aren’t many of those rn I suggested m/m but you don’t have to read them
Aah I LOVED A Far Wilder Magic! I’m not typically a romance reader but found myself so invested in Margaret and Weston and thought the way their relationship developed was really cozy and sweet ❤
Hi Regan, this is not really related to this video, but I'd love some book recommendations with totally unexpected endings. Or even where the good guys don't win in the end! Sometimes I'm reading a fantasy book that draws me in but too early on I can already see how it's already going to end. I'd love some books that keep me on my toes!
Great list Regan! Glad there’s books I haven’t read yet so I can add more to my Libby holds haha. I believe you have A Study In Drowning listed as something else in your description though? ETA: I wish more booktubers listed and segmented the content. When someone actually does I watch it all anyway in solidarity. 😅😂
The way I leaned forward when you started describing The Jasmin Throne... sadly I have read it already (not actually sadly bc its a great book, even if I was a tad bored in the second one, I can't wait for the last one)
Not books, but could you make a video on K Drama recommendations? Just started watching them to get my money worths out of Netflix and am hooked. Need recommendations
@@halochromatium4485 ooo okay! Those are all great! I would also recommend Vincenzo, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Crash Landing on You, Twinkling Watermelon to start you off!
Watch it's okay to not be okay. It's kinda gothic, fairytale-ish, deals with mental health issues. A hurt comfort romance drama. Very charming and quirky but also very emotional, you'll love it
Just finished watching Twinkling Watermelon. An amazing slice of life, romance, and time traveller story. Also, I think for bookworms who are fans of fantasy, Gyeonsong Creature (Ongoing. Season 2 was released a few days ago) is a perfect choice.
Divine Rivals was my best book of this year. It's so good.
I loved the way you segmented/categorized this out. Very helpful. Thanks for the recs!
thanks for watching!
Love fantasy, but fantasy with romance is chef's kiss ❤
The Serpent and the Wings of Night sounds so good!
Divine rivals being described as you've got mail is so funny lmao
I love it ahaha

Agreed! That letter at the end of book 2 though!! Urghhh 😭 We need the 3rd book soon.
I loved Ilona Andrew’s Innkeeper series! Such a cool concept
surprised winternight trilogy didn’t make the list but thanks for listing books that aren’t spammed on instagram!
LOVE WINTERNIGHT, I tried to include books I hadn't mentioned before in past fantasy romance videos!
i immediately got The Spear That Cuts Through Water on my kindle, it sounds so beautiful!! I think I might try the Justice of Kings too, I've only heard good things. Thank you for the recs!!!!!
I need more romances with a male PoV, feels like the whole genre is only targeting women
I never even thought about it before. Would love to read a male PoV

Read m/m romance instead
@@Sad.Purple.unicorn so only gays can enjoy romance? cool story bro

I have not been seeing sword catcher get the love it deserves.

I love the idea of a roy x riza fanfic as its own independent book, sounds great ^_^
Hi Ginny🌹🌹
How are you doing?

You keep reminding me I need to read Spear Cuts Through Water!!
I am waiting patiently to hear what your top 10 books of the year.....you have read many phenomenal stories this year.
my tbr once again is crying (but im not complaining)
Love your shirt!
I love this genre and your recommendations are 👌👌👌.
Currently reading sword catcher and loving it so far ⚔️
Thank you for such a wonderful full range of recommendations ❤
I've been convinced to read the first book and I just did a pickup from Target for Divine Rivals😅
Yesss I loved a far wilder magic so much!!
The video I’ve been waiting for
Loved the video! I also recommend What The River Knows !!
Divine Rivals and Half A Soul 🫶
The way I leaned forward when you started describing The Jasmin Throne... sadly I have read it already (not actually sadly bc its a great book, even if I was a tad bored in the second one, I can't wait for the last one)
the justice of kings sounds intriguing. but if the romance subplot is between a guy and his protegé then the power dynamics of that sounds kinda iffy.
"This is a love story to its blade-dented bone."
Have you tried any Stephanie Hudson's Afterlife series?, very steamy but I did love the series x
Not books, but could you make a video on K Drama recommendations? Just started watching them to get my money worths out of Netflix and am hooked. Need recommendations
What have you already watched so I know what to recommend?
@dreamer626 So far, I watched Alchemy of Souls, Healer and Suspicious Partners. I liked them all but especially the first two.
@@halochromatium4485 ooo okay! Those are all great! I would also recommend Vincenzo, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Crash Landing on You, Twinkling Watermelon to start you off!

I’m loving the Hidden Legacy series, very fun. I do hate that his name is Rogan because I always think of Joe Rogan
Full metal alchemist fan fiction??? Running and not walking to get it right this second 🎉
But also I'm so glad you keep supporting the justice of Kings. I'm a sir Konrad SIMP
SAME LOL
Serpent and wings of night i liked a lot, read the sequel as well
tried some other books from same author but weren't as good
Hi Regan how can I reach you?
I love you Regan but I think you had another version of Immortal longings than me because I am at the complet opposite side of you review wise.. 😅
ahahha fair fair fair
Wait. Is the romance in the Justice for Kings between the adoptive father and daughter with a 25-years-age-difference?
Skincare for so many reasons you can not beat - Antipodes &/ or Trilogy. REALLY!
Loooooved Divine Rivals, I didn't like Ruthless Vows 💔 (I had the same feeling as watching the last season of Game of Thrones)
Hi how are you? My name is Kostas and I am from Greece
Which kind of books do you like to read?
Underhyped book that I’m going to continue mentioning hoping it will receive the notice it deserves. “Lord of the Fading Lands.”
I just bought a copy if you think that it's that good. 😊 Only AUD 3.99 on Kindle atm.
You gave a summary of ''A Study in Drowning'' but you put the timestamp for ''The Spells for Forgetting'' 😕🤔
The serpent and the wings of night used the “F” word waay too much. And that’s coming from me, someone who used to be in the Navy.
I just might check out chloe gong book immortal longings
Is there an L in ILona Andrews?
I found divine rivals was so boring 😢
❤📚📚❤️
I think romance is just not for me 😂
valid!
I'm subscribing just bc you recommended Divine Rivals and A Far Wilder Magic. Those books are my most favorite. 🫶
The 🤌🏻 yearning 🤌🏻
